What are people saying about Azores

Wonderful day!
Our tour guide Sylvia was very friendly and we enjoy spending the day with her. We got to spend several hours seeing all the highlights of the island. She ate lunch with my husband and I at the restaurant that served local stew and we had a lovely time. The gardens were amazing and we really enjoyed the tea plantation and the pineapple greenhouses. It was a wonderful day.

Great tour with lunch
The tour guide was great. We got to see all sorts of things. The island has many natural wonders and the guide was very knowledgeable. He also talked about places he visited as a kid since he is was a native. Lunch was local food and non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks were included. We had a great local table wine.

10/10 recommend Tomás’ tour! After lots of hiking around São Miguel for a week, we wanted to learn more about the history and culture of the Azores. The tuk tuk tour did not disappoint. We learned about important buildings, lore, Azorean traditions, pineapple farming, and so much more. Lots of opportunities to ask questions. We did the tour at the end of our trip due to our schedule, but would be a great way to kick off time in são miguel as Tomás had tons of great food and site recs. A reason for us to come back!

Amazing wildlife!
Gorgeous views of Sao Miguel. Amazing wildlife, we saw so many dolphins and 3 blue whales! Once in a lifetime experience. Not for the faint of heart motion sickness wise, the seas are pretty rough and many people had a hard time. I got a prescription patch ahead of time and felt perfect, definitely do that haha!

The Azores may only look like tiny specks on a globe, but this little archipelago brings a lot to the table—especially for travelers who love the great outdoors. Azores tours include 4WD excursions, canyoning and caving adventures for all skill levels, boat trips to look for whales and dolphins, visits to tea and pineapple plantations, and a chance to see the sparkling blue-green lakes that fill the craters of dormant Azores volcanoes.
