Antonio knew lots of out-of-the-way places that a tourist would normally not be able to find on their own. From the magical sycamore tree line road, to the unique flora of the island. Giving us lots of history and traditions associated with the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and would highly recommend!

At first I thought I was going to be dissatisfied because they wound up overbooking and changed the agreed upon plan, but this company really went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. They picked us up at our hotel and pretty much gave us a custom tour because of the mix up. We had such a good time with Carolina. She was a good driver, spoke 3 languages fluently, taught us so much about the island, and felt like a long time friend. After dropping everyone off, she even stopped at a fast food restaurant because my sister and I were coming straight off the plane and hadn't eaten all day. I will be recommending to anyone I know going to the beautiful island, Terceira and if I ever return, I will be using this company again. Carolina was by far the best tour guide we've ever had; highly recommend this company :).

Our tour guide Carolina was extremely kind and knowledgeable about the island of Terceira. She was able to take us to some beautiful remote vistas that would be impossible for a non 4x4 vehicle to get to. She also gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations and information on where to attend the running of the bulls festivities at night. I highly recommend this half day tour with Carolina from Pro Island 4X4 Tours.

We had an amazing day with Dora who showed us the most awesome viewpoints and places on Terceira. An amazing tour guide, she provided lots of info on the island and the people, answering any questions about the culture, history, customs and current trends. We were lucky with the weather and had a mostly sunny day but it can get quite windy. Totally recommend the tour 😁

Great guidance by Marcos, beautiful tour of the island. Jeeps navigated the rough dirt and cobblestone roads quickly. Four door cars were available for others; we had a two-person group, so our car was two door, with bench seating in the back (driver and separate front passenger seats, and front to back drivers side bench, as well as a front to back passenger side bench. No back support, no shoulder strap, and I had to slouch down since my head would hit the ceiling easily and couldn’t sit up straight. Wife get car sick, so she got the front seat; my neck didn’t feel great after the bumpy ride and crawling in and out of the back… this car would be great for a 1 person tour; if the back was used, should be only with kids. Perhaps a photo and disclosure pre-booking would have been nice.

Carolina was amazing, my husband spent 3 years here in the 80’s and a lot has changed and Carolina kept trying to show him something he hadn’t seen before. She was so fun and accommodating. She wanted to make our daughter’s first trip back since she was a baby memorable. She is an absolute delight and highly recommended this tour. You get to see how diverse the island is, from ocean, farm land to forests. This tour is the best way to see a lot of the island in a short time period.

It was an excellent tour. We were taken to some breathtaking views, and our guide, Carolina had such a wealth of knowledge on literally every topic and was so nice!! The car was super clean and she made a good driver, too. Carolina took us to some of the most stunning places I've ever seen.

An amazing experience! Antonio is an incredible guide with so much knowledge and love for his island. One of our co guests was very inquisitive about history and life on the island and he had an answer for nearly every question she asked - I learned so much! He even brought us to a few spots that weren't planned for (a banana plantation, a cat sanctuary) simply because I mentioned a vague interest in the plantation and said that I love cats. I would absolutely recommend taking a tour with this company, you won't regret it, plus it's a family run business which is always nice to support. It was a highlight of our trip on the Azores. Worth every penny for sure.

Wow! What a fabulous tour! My dad was born in Terceira and hasn’t been back in 57 years. This was a great way to see most of the island. We definitely saw things that we would not have seen driving around on our own. It helped us navigate where things were located so that we could come back to enjoy them longer on our own. I highly recommend booking this tour. If we had more time we would definitely book another tour to see other places we didn’t have time for.

Our tour guide was great but we were in a small group of 4 jeeps, not requested by us just placed in train by tour operator. It felt very rushed and even our tour guide remarked on not being able to spend time at some locations.

Thank you very much for your comment, it is alwys apreciated to try to better our service, we had, we had 22 people from the ship on the 4 jeeps because we did not want to fill to the max, we all went to the same places to be fair for everyone, since you did not book a private tour, doing a 1/2 day tour of 4hrs with 24 people every stop takes a long time for everyone to get in and out, we did the best we could to try to show you as much as possible as per your request, sorry if we didnt meet your expectations, when you come back please book a tour for your group in private or a full day tour and you will love it.

Communication with Antonio was fantastic! From the day of first booking to the day of arrival; our ship was late, so our tour was cut a bit short (the first thing Antonio offered was to not go and refund our money); we had the best time with him! His English is perfect and he showed us places off the beaten path, that no tour bus can go to. Hopefully there will be a next time and the we will make reservations for a whole day. I highly recommend him and the tour!

What a great way to see the island. We had a very knowledgeable guide Antonio who added informative background to every site we visited. The best part was that most of the information was impromptu answering our questions as they arose. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone else visiting the island. What a great way to see a large area of the island in a condensed timeframe.

Heute hatten wir unsere private Jeeptour mit Carolina. Wir wurden direkt am Schiff abholt. Carolina war eine super Reiseleiterin ging immer auf unsere Wünsche ein und hatte sehr viel interessantes zu erzählen.
