Filipe was fantastic! Right on time, exactly where he said he would be. We sat out in his really nice truck with his informative but not boring commentary. We went at a nice pace usually staying just ahead of the crowd. Saw many great sights and stopped for a coffee and tart at a nice little place then headed back to the ship. The day was just perfect and you should not hesitate booking this tour. We really enjoyed Filipe and his knowledge. Thank you for a great day!

Great overall tour of the west end of the island. Felipe was an excellent guide. Was easy to find him and communication was great. He took us in his 4x4 truck around the rim of the crater for some awesome views. The dirt road was very rough in places and not suited if you have back issues. We then drove to a village and to Sete Cidades where we stopped for a restroom break and snacks if we wanted to purchase. Continued the drive around the lake and across the bridge and stopped at a few more viewpoints on our way back to town. He offered to drop us off back at the ship or in town if we liked. Would recommend, the only thing missing was the bright sunny skies that would have given us the blue and green colors of the lakes.

Filipe is a great guide with lots of knowledge, the vehicle is clean and comfortable. He did a great job explaining the history and answering any questions I had. One thing to note: if you are easily nauseous in cars, this may not be for you, as the roads have a lot of hairpins, with lots of ups and downs, conbined with rough terrain.

Great way to see the west end of the island. The views from the top of the crater were spectacular! The guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable. We highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Punta Delgada!

This was a fantastic private tour in a 4x4 pickup. Guide was local and very knowledgeable. Safe driver. Took us to the best locations for viewing and photographs. Time well spent with memories to cherish. We booked this tour instead of a cruise tour and did not regret it. Thanks Felipe!!

I booked my tour in lieu of a cruise ship excursion in order to have a private more personalized adventure and to visit places not seen with the big buses. Correspondence with the company was excellent and Filipe was our guide who picked us up at the cruise pier. He is terrific. A lifetime Azores resident, tour guide (as well as singer and musician!), we had a marvelous memorable tour and will cherish the beautiful sites forever. I strongly recommend this company for your Azores tours (they have many options).

We selected this tour as it was a small venue, only four participants. It ended up being just the two of us, so much more personalized than those large bus tours. Unfortunately the weather was rainy and foggy so no chance of actually seeing the lake, yet Filipe offered us several replacement choices. As we were only there two days, we asked if he would just give us a personal tour of things he thought were worth seeing on the island. We had a great few hours and saw the tea factory, the shoreline and received a first hand narrative on the Azores. We had a great day and I would definitely recommend this company. On a side note, if you come by ship, the port has two docking points. One you can walk off to the port terminal, the other you are bused to the terminal. If you walk out, Filipe will meet you with a sign with your name as you exit the glass doors. If you come by bus, he will meet you at the bus with a sign as well.
