We just had a wonderful all day adventure visiting the beautiful area surrounding Nordeste. Our personal tour guide Josef (Joe) was outstanding. He delivered so much information and stories of the area and of Sao Miguel. We had so many laughs and shared great memories. Thank you for giving us that personal touch and showing us so much. We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely home-cooked buffet lunch. We totally recommend this tour and especially Josef.

Joaquim, our guide, was awesome! Very knowledgeable about the island, personable and easy to talk to, and fun. Chasing waterfalls all day, walking in parks, and lunch together with the group was the highlight of our trip for sure. We'd highly recommend this tour to everyone.

Very thorough and fun tour of the Nordeste side of Sao Miguel. Our guide, Hugo, was very kind and knowledgable. Getting to learn about the ecology and little towns were the highlights.

We were lucky to have Andre our tour guide a second day. We saw so many beautiful sights. Andre took us to many gorgeous view points to see all different parts of the island. We learned a lot of new information too. I would highly recommend this tour and tour company.

We had a wonderful day exploring the eastern side of São Miguel. Nordeste and the coastline are absolutely stunning, with viewpoints that just kept getting better at every stop. Though, beware as the road is long and serpentine, so do prepare for a bit of a ride, but it is totally worth it.
Lunch was excellent, and it was great to see a vegetarian option available.
The highlight of the sights was definitely the Cascata da Ribeira dos Caldeirões, with its beautiful waterfall and old mill, it was a really special place to end the trip.
But what made the day truly unforgettable was our guide, José. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and such a great communicator. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a fantastic experience, we couldn’t have asked for better.

Of the three full day tours of the island, this was hands down the best in terms of views. Goao, our tour guide was very knowledgeable. He shared the history of the island and stories of each and every stop on the tour. He offered to take photos at every stop and suggestions of restaurants for dinner.

Have a good guide who knows the area and the off the beaten path items. Our guide put us on a hidden waterfall view that I really liked. And I really enjoyed his stop in Povoação.

The scenery was spectacular even though the weather wasn’t perfect (not under anyone’s control) I did feel the guide did not fulfill the description of the tour with info on the geology and culture/history of the town . He only answered questions as they were asked rather than a detailed informative talk similar to what we’ve had on many of our other tours. He spent way too much time on his phone with private conversations rather than interacting and describing the area.

We had an amazing and informative guide in Jose who showed us some amazing scenery including The White Tower, wildlife, coastline, a lighthouse, some gardens and waterfalls. A must for all visitors.

"Wow, what an incredible day! We totally lucked out having Joaquim as our guide, especially since it was just the two of us. He knew everything about the area! The waterfalls and viewpoints were absolutely gorgeous, and we never would have found them on our own. And let's talk about lunch at Os Melos – delicious! It was the perfect ending to a perfect tour. Bruno was a wonderful guide. A full trip around the island with multiple viewing spots and some lovely surprises along the way. He is very informative and has a great sense of humor. Lunch was fantastic and we had ample time at each stop without pressure to rush. We lives our day and felt that it was worth more than what the cost was. Wish we could do it all over again.

Well what can I say about this trip? The whole day was fantastic. The knowledge base of Jose our tour guide was incredible and so informative. He knew so much information and was the friendliest most accommodating man, it was a fantastic experience and I would recommend it to anybody coming to Azores, We booked the night before last minute as we had just arrived, Jose was on time picked us up from the hotel and couldn’t have been more accommodating. 5 out of 5 Service, it was our absolute pleasure to have met him. He took us to places that we would never have experienced without this trip, we have used Viator over a number of years, Sorrento, Rome and Portugal, and they have been 10 out of 10 on every trip, thank you for a great service.

Susana, Patrick, Nicolas, Neve, Doug and Owen (May 2024). Our visit around the Nordeste was eventful, entertaining and held a few suprises. Bruno went out of his way to make sure we had a fun and wonderful adventure. He knew it was our 25th Anniversary and he had the restaurant at lunch give us a cake with candles and got everyone singing. We will never forget it. Thank you for taking us into the Lagoa do Congro, the hike was worth it. At times we felt like storm chasers trying as Bruno was trying to outrun the rain to make sure we saw every viewpoint from the top of the mountains. He showed us some hidden "gem stones" in Vila do Campo and Lagoa. Can't wait to see what he cooks up for next year! Shout out to Rui and his band "Morbid Death".

The views were the most beautiful I’ve ever seen! The tour guide was so knowledgeable and kind. We loved our lunch and visiting the tea factory! I would highly recommend this tour!

This tour was amazing! Started out with a double rainbow above a picturesque church and ended with the tea plantation. In between were cute villages, the caldera, the lighthouse, the waterfalls and a delicious buffet lunch where we also got to try the local beer/wine/tea/liqueurs!
Hugo was so informational and sweet! He went above and beyond without really trying. My husband and I were on a 16 day cruise and this was easily our favorite stop because of this excursion. Don’t get me wrong, the Azores are stunning but Hugo’s tour is a must do on Saõ Miguel! Highly highly recommended and we will be back and won’t hesitate to do this tour with Hugo again!

We had a wonderful time in this tour to Nordeste. It was a day of rain/sun/clouds but but our guide Hugo adapted constantly and we got to experience beautiful destinations in ideal conditions.
He was knowledgeable, passionate about the island and a really nice guy.

Mario from Green Visions was an excellent guide & driver, & he was very knowledgeable & informative & kind & helpful. He very much wanted us to enjoy the day. The tour itself was absolutely beautiful & showed us what a paradise Sao Miguel really is. Each view & setting were gorgeous, & it was a joy just riding in the van, looking at all of the stunning scenery.

This tour was a memorable experience. Hugo is an extremely knowledgeable and personable guide. He knew how to pace the trip so that we saw gorgeous scenery and packed as much as possible into a single day without making us feel hurried. It was very considerate that he asked the restaurant to prepare a vegetarian dish (delicious) for me. In addition to the lovely sights. Hugo answered all types of questions about the island. We felt that we learned and saw so much during a (sadly) limited stay in Ponte Delgado. If you only have a day to sightsee , this is the most rewarding way to use your time!
