Day trip to Corinth

The day trip to Corinth was the highlight of my trip. I was looking to have an experience of following Paul's footsteps and the excursion gave me just that. The day was well organised, from pick up, strategic stops along the way for refreshments and the lunch after our day was done im the small village. The group gets early phones to help navigate the ancient ruins. There's ample time to soak in the surroundings ans what life was at the time. Our last stop was at Cenchrea , the home of Phoebe. Our guide Nancy, was very knowledgeable and shared both historical facts and anecdotes with great zeal. Overall a worthwhile experience of the Corinth Carnal, ancient Corinth, with the still visible ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the fortress on the top of a hill, way above sea level with stunningviews all around and many more.

Long day but worth every...

Long day but worth every bit of time. We enjoyed our time at Delphi- the museum was bigger and had alot more to see than expected, as well as walking the ruins. Beautiful views- it was raining on and off but made for a cooler walk up. Meteora was amazing- another person in the group had done more research on this site so I was very amazed seeing everything in person. The Monasteries built on these rocks just jutting out of nowhere was so unlike anything all of us have ever seen. We had time to visit inside one and several other photo stops. On the ride back to Athens we stopped in Thermopylae which was neat to see. My only feedback would be it would have been nice to have dinner outside the city in a local taverna. Dinner was fine, they were very nice and lots of food but not a great spot in the City, “nothing to write home about” as they say. All in all amazing day and would def recommend this tour as a way to see a lot with just your group in one day.

Kosta was an excellent host. Our day began with on time pick up and a run through of all he had planned for us . Quickly asked if the itinerary was fine and if we wanted to do anything else. He had planned the perfect day and gave us the right amount of time and tips at each spot. We learned so much of Athens and its rich history. Somehow he managed to always get us front and center for great views and pictures. A storm came through when we visited the acropolis and as we hurried to get back he was right there waiting as he promised. He made great alternative plans during the storm for us to continue to experience Athens. We had a fun filled educational day with Kosta riding in his very comfortable and clean Mercedes. Highly recommend!

My experience in Athens exceeded all expectations

Having only a few hours in Athens during a layover, I decided to book a private tour with Colours of Greece — and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I made. Ruslan, who was my driver and guide, arrived right on time in a fantastic, spacious, and luxurious Mercedes SUV. During the drive, he shared the history of Greece — and especially Athens — from prehistoric times all the way to the present day, making the journey incredibly engaging and informative. We arrived at the Acropolis, where I purchased my ticket from the office next to the entrance. As I passed through the gates, a childhood dream came true — I was standing in front of one of the most important monuments in human history. After visiting the Acropolis, we stopped in front of the Old Royal Palace, where I had the chance to admire the Changing of the Guard with their perfectly synchronized movements. We then visited the largest marble stadium in the world, where the first modern Olympic Games were held. Next, we drove up to the highest point in the city, where I admired the breathtaking view of thousands of buildings stretching all the way to the Aegean Sea. I also have to mention Plaka — a place that feels like stepping into another era — along with Monastiraki and its vibrant market. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the energy to visit the Ancient Agora, which was the heart of ancient Athens, but I promise I will return soon. Thank you for everything, Ruslan! Great first day in Athens

We were very happy with our tour and tour guide. Michael was a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide who was funny and matched our personalities and senses of humor. We learned a lot while having fun. We were able to do things at our own pace and never felt pressured. He also shared information about things that we are interested in doing on other days.

Fantastic experience

We had a perfect tour of Athens. It only really scratched the surface of this amazing city, there is so much to see, but for a one day tour it was ideal - good combination of driving, walking around and free time without overheating or overdoing it. Álex is a treasure!!! Arrangements wit pick up and drop off directly at our ship were very convenient. All in all good organization and execution - well done!

Xenofantas was wonderful

This was a wonderful excursion. Xenofontas was wonderful. He was so informative and funny. It was just my husband, me and the guide which was amazing because we could control the pace and what we did. Xenofantas knew hidden places to show us. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone. It was nice to get outside the busy city.

Petros is Amazing! Great communication

Our driver Petros was amazing! Picked up in a luxurious van with bucket seating facing each other. We had a lot of luggage and the storage area in the back compartment, held everything with room to spare. Speaks very clearly in English. Had great conversations about the country. Allowed us to modify our timeline for additional fee but was well worth it. Highly recommend him for sightseeing adventure!
