Itinerary
You’ll start your tour just across from the Rijksmuseum, where you’ll meet your guide and walk straight past the long lines that usually form outside of the Van Gogh Museum as soon as it opens.
Once you’ve entered, you’ll begin with Van Gogh’s troubled period, reflected by his darker paintings. Then, you’ll move on to lighter, brighter works of art, and benefit from the undivided attention of your private guide throughout.
You’ll stop at iconic works such as *Sunflowers* and admire works by famous artists that inspired Van Gogh, but you’ll also discover lesser-known paintings and drawings among the world’s largest collection of work by Van Gogh.
When your tour ends, you’ll be able to stay inside the museum for as long as you like until it closes, as your admission ticket is valid all day.

This guided tour is a full on exploration of VanGogh the painter and the man. Our guide, Anna, shared interesting back stories that illustrated the artist's influence on others and what influenced his own work; compared various works with an eye toward helping us understand why VanGogh is such an impactful artist. It was informative, interesting and well worth the time and associated cost. I kept thinking, 'I wonder what the other tourists, with their headsets, are getting from the experience?' Not sure how other guides are, but I know our experience was superior to just walking around by ourselves. Highly recommend! Complimentary wheelchairs and portable, folding seats are available.

A visit with a smaller group and knowledgeable guide offers a better experience. The tour was two hours. Our guide, Claire, was very knowledgeable and was patient in answering all our questions. We would not hesitate to go on a tour with her again.

This is a must see for Amsterdam imo. Fantastic collection of Van Gogh's painting throughout the span of his career. Our tour guide (I am sorry I forget her name) was fantastic. She is Dutch and spoke in English very clearly and easy to understand (I only speak English sadly). )Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. I learned so many new facts about Vincent's personal life and the incredible impact his dear brother had. Tour lasted 2 hours and was the perfect amount of time.

We absolutely loved this tour! Fantastic communication before, during and after the visit! The museum itself is wonderful; the artworks, atmosphere and facilities all incredible! What made the trip so good, however, was our guide Monique! She captivated us from start to finish, with spell binding story telling, creating a vision of Van Gough's life, personality and relationships. Monique was informative but above all passionate and excited to share Van Gough with us. We learned a lot and had great fun, but hadn't expected to feel quite so much. Thank you. A brilliant way to spend my mum's 81st birthday, thank you so being so kind and caring too.
