This private toyr was one of the highlights of our 2 week visit to Italy. You get to watch the artists create something amazing from start to finish. The pieces in the large show room are amazing.

Private tour definitely worth it. They allowed us to take pictures and video the master glassblower at work. We were able to browse through all the showrooms. They negotiated a price on a vase within my budget. Pleasant experience, not pushy at all.

We have always liked our Viator experiences but this one missed the mark. We thought we were getting more of a demonstration for glass blowing instead it turned out to be a sales pitch for buying something in their factory. Really enjoyed our chauffeur as he was knowledgeable and fun. But the reason for poor rating was once they knew we were not interested in buying anything it was a quick goodbye see you later.

A tour guide meets you at the Monument to Victor Emmanuel II. He hails a water taxi which takes you and him to the island of Murano. He turns you over to a tour guide at the glass factory. The glass blowing is explained thoroughly and patiently. After the tour you are taken to the museum (showroom) where you can't resist buying an expensive souvenir! The glass tour guide turns you over to the original guide who hails a return water taxi and drops you off at the Emanuel II monument. The tour is only 2 hours and doesn't include water or a snack.

This was a fabulous private tour with Niccoli! He shared interesting facts and entertaining stories about Venice on our boat ride to Murano. Then we thoroughly enjoyed an amazing glass-making demonstration. We highly recommend this tour.

Leonardo was great, he got us to Murano and answered all of our questions along the way. The glass demonstrations were great and all the glass items were absolutely beautiful.

Well worth the money to see the glass blowers at work. What the Master was able to do with the glass was amazing.

The tour guide was friendly and helpful—as were the boat drivers. The staff at the glass factory were also great. The only thing that I would want someone to know is that there is a fairly hard sell at the factory to get you to purchase their products. Everything was of the highest quality—I just was not expecting the big sales push at this type of event (“tour”).

"Guide" met us at the gathering place and sent us off unescorted to the factory on a water taxi. Were met there and did receive "watching Master make a pitcher" and "info about glassmaking" and "tour of their showroom" but when we weren't going to buy any of the expensive merchandise the "tour was over" and we were sent back alone to Venice on a water taxi. Felt more like sales pitch than historical/informational tour.

Dear Mrs. Karen,
Thank you for this important feedback.
We'd like to inform you, just like we did on the day of the tour, that our Authentic Murano Glass tour is not a history tour of the island but it's an experience inside one of the oldest glass factories to admire a technique that has more that 1000 years.
The tour also includes a visit of the showroom with all the masterpieces made by the artists of the family. Those are one of a kind works of art exposed in an exclusive gallery becuase this is a dying art, new generations are not learning it as it used to be few decades ago, so one day it will disappear.
Buying is not required at all. The guide made it clear too and the explanation of the works of art was made to analyze the techniques seen during the demostration on a bigger and finished piece. Not to sell it.
If you had more interest in the history of the island that would have been a tour of the Murano Museum, which is not what we organize.
Best regards,

Great tour and wonderful host! Luka was super friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable! There were six of us in the group from two seniors to a teen and a ten year old and all enjoyed the tour. We toured the Schiavon Art Gallery and Factory and got to meet the master himself, Massimiliano which was a treat.
Response from Host, Feb 2025
Dear Christopher,
We are super happy you think our Murano experience was lovely, it's been a real pleasure to be your guide and hope to welcome you back soon!
We have many more things to show you.
Arrivederci!

Natasha was our guide and she met us by the Monument to Victor Emmanuel II in San Marco. She was very friendly and informative, teaching us about Venice as we took a Water Taxi to Murano. Once at the glass factory we met with one of the liaisons who introduced us to the master glass maker and we witnessed him working on a piece for a beautiful chandelier.
Another artisan created a horse from a glob of molten glass. It was an amazing transformation as it went from a glowing orange mass and within two minutes it was a beautiful horse. Afterwards we were taken around the showroom to see all the amazing glass creations. At the end of the tour we were able to shop the gift shop.
On the way back to Venice, Natasha told us about other parts of Venice and gave us restaurants and sites to check out. Overall a great personal tour and a nice way to see one of the Murano glass factories.

Dear Tomas_R,
Such a great thing to read this amazing review about the Authentic Murano Glass tour.
In a city where more than 90% of the glass is fake we are trying to promote the real and authentic artisan work and I'm thrilled to see you loved it.
I stay at complete disposal and wish you a great day!

Georgia was a fabulous guide. She informed of the background information about Venice and Murano. The glass tour was quicker than the two hours so she gave us a bit more info around San Marco square.
Response from Host, Jan 2024

Thank you for such a positive feedback!
It has been a pleasure to stay with you during our Authentic Murano glass factory tour!

Ciao ciao,

Two hour tour. The guide that pick us up in San Marco was very good. Very informative. Went to murano. Saw about 15 minutes of glass blowing. Got to look at all the stuff they had for sale. We were done and back in San Marco in an hour. Seemed like we paid a good amount of money for a sales pitch

Leonardo was a great guide! He was very knowledgeable about the sites and had fun facts from his own experience living in Venice. I wanted a particular Murano vase and he knew where to go on the island to find the right artisan. We would never have found it without him :)
Response from Host, Jan 2024

Luca was our tour guide. We had an awesome experience meeting him. Fluent in English. He made us feel like a VIP.
Finding the meeting point was very easy. They display your name on a Ipad.
Glass factory tour was phenomenal.
Highly recommend!!

This was one excursion that is well worth it. Beautiful and artistic glass that was exquisite! I’d do this one again it satisfied the artist and engineer in me!

Everything was so nice, the private boat to Murano, the tour and explanation of the demonstration by the owner, the tour of the gallery and the private boat back to St. Mark's. Lovely way to spend the morning.
Frances_A, Jun 2023
From the private boat to pick us up at Piazza San Marcos, to the hug good bye from the Robert La Rosa after getting my own piece of artwork, the experience was extraordinary. I highly recommend the tour. We were personally escorted through the factory and showroom with Eilas and made to feel so special. The master artisans at work made the experience with our daughter special as she will tell her grandchildren about when she went with her family to Venier in Murano to get the piece. The artist engraved the piece but they will add our family name and date to make it ours. They pack, ship, and insure your piece and because it is artwork, it is now duty free. I can not wait to get it in the mail. Such a great experience and one our family will treasure the memory of for generations. Again, I highly recommend especially if you like glass artwork and want to see or purchase your own original Murano masterpiece.

Great experience from pick up, to transfer to tour and the art. Wonderful gallery exhibit with helpful tour and explanation to offers to purchase but not pushy. Enjoyable experience where they made you feel comfortable and made sure you enjoyed the time there. Wonderful art.

We had the most amazing experience- Luca and his family were stupendous guides. We were warmly welcomed and my children were allowed to experience glass blowing first hand. What a day!
Justin_T, Jul 2021
Great experience. As we were the only 6 people in our tour, Matteo reached out to us to ask where the best place was for them to pick us up on our private water taxi. Matteo might have been the best, most personable guide we’ve had in 3 cities here in Italy. Very friendly, outgoing and full of suggestions. The glass tour itself was fun and interesting and there is an opportunity to explore the collection and purchase some if you choose at the end.
