Amazing knowledgeable and likable tour guide with inside info into the industry and a perfect mix of stops on the tour. Very stop was different and inspiring and I love that we were able to participate in the activity. Don’t miss out on making the bead! Plan a little time afterward for lunch close by also so you have time for your bead to cool down.
We even got a sneak peak of a new exhibit. Thank you again for the experience!!!

Thank you so much for this wonderful review!
I’m really happy you enjoyed the mix of stops and that the lampwork experience made your visit to Murano even more special. Making your own bead is always a memorable part of the tour!
Thank you also for mentioning the cooling time — great tip for future guests.
It was a pleasure showing you a few hidden corners (and that sneak peek!).
Hope to welcome you back to Venice or Murano soon!

This was an amazing tour and Valerio was such a great guide! He was very accommodating and helpful with our group, as well as knowledgeable and entertaining! My daughter had a great time with Monica making her own glass bead to take home. Definitely a one of a kind experience!

I really appreciate your kind words and hope to see you again for another Venetian adventure.

Lovely little tour around Murano. Valerio was fun and engaging. He knew heaps about the history of Murano and showed us great places to eat and drink.
Glass bead making was super fun! Monica is a great teacher.

Valerio was great!! A genuine experience and tour. Not rushed or pressured with all of the glass blowing in Murano. The experience with “Monica” was something my kids enjoyed very much. Valerio also helped to give nice suggestions for Venice for gelato, hot chocolate and cichatas! Thank you Valerio and keep up the great work!
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Thank you so much, Chirag, for your kind words!
I'm very happy to hear you and your family enjoyed the experience in Murano – especially the time with Monica, who truly makes the lampworking moment memorable. It was a pleasure sharing my island with you at a relaxed pace, away from the pressure of the usual tours.
I’m also glad my Venice suggestions hit the spot – cicheti, hot chocolate and gelato are always a good idea!
Wishing you many more joyful family travels, and hope to see you again in Venice sometime.
Warm regards,
Valerio

We had an amazing experience in Murano with Valerio - as a native from Murano he told us so much about history and took us to three different glass making experiences. My husband also was able to have a go at glass making and made me a wonderful glass
Bead souvenir to take home. Unique one of a kind experience. I highly recommend! Ask for Valerio!
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Thank you so much, Elisa, for your kind words! It was a real pleasure to guide you and your husband through my native Murano and introduce you to the fascinating world of glassmaking. I'm thrilled you both enjoyed the hands-on experience — that handmade glass bead is now a truly unique memory! Wishing you many more beautiful travel moments, and I’d be happy to welcome you back anytime.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and bead making! Valerio went above and beyond in spite of some less than great weather.

Valerio was a wonderful guide with a very infectious personality. We really enjoyed his commentary of the city, and the insider access to one of the local glass making factories and their showrooms. It’s worth noting that you have to pay 30 euros extra to actually work with the glass. We also didn’t receive the walking tour with the chapels, so we had to pay an extra entrance fee to see them by ourselves. Overall it was good, but a little overpriced in my opinion.

Thank you for your feedback! 😊 I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed my tour and the visit to the glass factory. The glass Lampwork demonstration is for free and included in the tour. Differently from many other tours in Mùrano, there is absolutely not any kind of purchase push in any of the locations visited during the tour. As option you can choose to take a workshop, create your own glass bead and take it with you, as you chose to do it. After a clear and polite question underlining the extra cost, you decided to take the workshop with a local artisan, you created your bead, you took the bead and you paid the artisan for that, as clearly stated in the section "not included" in the tour. I am really surprised you expected the artisan to work for free for you. After the tour you visited a church on your own and you expected to be included in the tour, this is also very weird as a comment. In general any visit of churches or museums you take after a tour and not listed in the section "included" are clearly not included in the tour. Luckily you did not visited the glass museum, maybe you expected to be included too! 😉 Your input is invaluable as I strive to enhance our offerings. However I suggest you to read better the tour description next time you book a tour and have understanding that a high value tour, as you and many other travellers outlined, cannot be cheap as other tours you probably experienced. It is plenty of cheap providers of cheap tours available in Venice, especially in Mùrano. Some offers even free taxi rides to Mùrano but unfortunately then you get stuck in a glass factory as long you do not buy something. I am sorry but I decided to work differently and this quality approach has a value it . I am glad you had anyway a great time with me!

Such an amazing experience! I recommend anyone looking for a glass experience that is genuine and hands-on, for a low price! I can't express enough of how knowledgeable our tour guide, and just phenomenal over all! I would do the tour again if I had the chance!

detourist Guide Valerio is nothing short of amazing! Tour was very personal and personalized. From exclusive areas at one of the most prestigious glass factories in Murano, to an upstart art glass factory and a tiny mother/daughter craft glass shop, this was the real highlight of our time in the Venetian Lagoon.
Response from Host, Jul 2024
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the personalized tour and the unique experiences in Murano. It was a pleasure to show you the hidden gems of the Venetian Lagoon. Looking forward to welcoming you back in the future! 😊

It was wonderful to learn about Murano from a local person and see places we might not have without his guidance.
Melissa_W, May 2024
This was a wonderful experience that I will remember for my lifetime. The walking tour really allowed us to understand the history of Morano and the labor of love for the art created there. Our tour guide was just as charming as the city itself, one that he lives in and is clearly proud to be a contributor to…which made the entire experience that much better. 💕
Monica was such a sweet and kind host to us. She shared with us her livelihood and vision for her shop and invited us to make our own unique creation to take home with us.
I cannot say enough good things about this tour. It was the most memorable experience during our stay in Venice for me and my 2 friends who are artist at heart. The trip to Morano was worth it!! Don’t hesitate. Book now!

The tour guide changed the meeting place while we were already on the island without phone service, therefore we missed the tour.
Response from Host, Jul 2023
I am sorry to hear about your experience and I apologize for the inconvenience caused by the fact you missed the meeting point as you had no phone service. On that day the meeting point was affected by a construction site. For this reason the meeting point was shifted 500 meters. It is a pity you did not manage to take the tour, like all the other 7 people, who actually enjoyed the tour a lot. It is also very strange that you always had a great phone connection for booking the tour, contacting me and ask straight away for a refund, even if you were not eligible, but surprisingly you had no phone connection at all to read the instructions for the meeting point or to answer my phone calls and messages. I am also surprised you did not tried to contact me by phone, for instance asking at the bar or using a public phone. Actually we have been waiting for you 15 minutes, after that I needed to start the tour as some guests started to get annoyed by the fact I was too kind in doing my best efforts so that you can join us. Anyway I understand your frustration for missing the tour because of the problem with your mobile phone but please have understanding I would not been able to look for you through the whole island. This is the reason why it is a good practice to always keep your phone charged or use a power bank or a charger. Finally, about the 1 star review blaming me for you having missed the tour: I understand some people are acting nasty and a bit childish when they are frustrated. Very often they try to blame somebody else, too. I hope you had anyway an amazing day in such a beatiful island. A big hug. Valerio
