What an amazing experience! It was lovely to see a traditional Japanese neighborhood and learn about Ikebana from an absolute artist! Hiromi taught us about the history and guided us through our first ikebana creation. We also were pleasantly surprised with the matcha and sweet treats. We highly recommend Hiromi’s class!

Amazing opportunity to learn from the Master the art of Ikebana! Dive deep to the Japanese culture and become one with the nature! Learnt so much new and really enjoyed the Ikebana art! In the end enjoyed delicious matcha and wagashi (Japanese sweets) in the original tatami room.

Lovely Experience

We had fun learning how to make ikebana flower arrangements. Loved that we could purchase supplies so we could continue making ikebana arrangements when we get home. We also had matcha tea and a sweet at the end that was delicious. Great experience!!

Hiromi is well versed in English which made the lesson more enjoyable. It was great learning about the tradition of Ikebana. Hiromi has a beautiful home with a Japanese room and colorful garden which all added to the immersive experience. She also served me matcha and explained the process of drinking it and answered lots of my questions about the Japanese culture. I even bought some items from her to try Ikebana back home.

It was a great experience! My daughter and I really enjoyed the class and learned alot! It is something we will use in the future. Hiromi was a great teacher and spoke English really well so we could easily understand. Also the special matcha treat at the end was so delicious! This class was worth it and highly recommended!

My short class with Hiromi was a highlight of my time in Tokyo. She was kind and flexible in scheduling me into her class (even when I had a last-minute conflict). At the class, she was patient and helpful in her explanation and demonstration while making sure to leave enough room for me to express my own creativity. I came out with something that I was really proud of!

What a wonderful way to end my trip! Hiromi was so welcoming and the best teacher! She met me at the station and guided me to the location carrying an umbrella to shield us both from the intense sun. She explained everything very clearly and helped me along the way as needed. I had such a lovely time. I can't recommend this experience highly enough! Thank you so much!

Great class for beginners!

Class taught by Hiromi was very exciting and fulfilling. The class was held in quiet traditional Japanese room. She gave me the basic information about Ikebana and Tea Ceremony. Not only giving the class but also she listened thoughtfully about my passion toward the flower and gave me some advice. The class took about 1:30 hours. She shows how to properly cut the flowers and arrange them. After that you can try arranging by yourself. Since Ikebana focuses on the beauty of flower's line and water you won't use many flowers. So it doesn't take that long.
