Turned up on the day & was told it was cancelled, never received any info about cancellation and 3 weeks later have just received an email from Viator that says ...
After a thorough review, we regret to inform you that we’re unable to issue a refund for this booking, as the operator has not approved it ..... So thats that then?? Not good good enough Viator, be careful folks.

I thought it shouldve went out later in the evening since the sunsets much later. It was hot and sunny from departure to return and It wasnt even a good way to cool off. My 3-stars was for the sight of the coast of Rio, its breath taking and special.

This was a nice short (1.5 hours) boat ride in the Rio bay. The trip was very nice and the staff was friendly. The bar was good but cocktails were priced a bit expensive.
Only criticism was the overhead tour information (PA announcements) was difficult to understand.

This is a lovely way to get a feel of the bay area and various main landmarks around Rio. The staff were friendly and allowed everyone time to get their photos at the three stops of Museum of Tomorrow, Sugar Loaf Mountain and the Museum of Art. The booking and check-in process was easy the boat left exactly on time.

I did the sunset cruise and really enjoyed it! Definitely take a jacket with you as it will get chilly and windy. As described, there were three stops to take pictures from the boat. I would recommend this tour if you’re looking for a different view of Rio’s mountains and skyline from the Guananara Bay!

We did the sunset cruise on the last day of our holiday, which was a really lovely end to the trip. Got a great view of different sights and buildings from the water. The information was given via a recording in 3 languages. The only criticism I would have is for the staff on the boat - one in particular is in desperate need of customer service training. She was incredibly rude to me on several occasions and I have no idea why. After spending a month in Brazil, this was the only negative interaction I'd had. The rest of the crew were delightful though so I didn't let this ruin my experience and I would recommend this trip to others.

The scenery along the route is exceptional. We checked in at a stand near the provided address in Marina da Glória. Some of the highlights included the gorgeous city skyline, mountains (including Sugarloaf Mountain and Corcovado Mountain), the island with Fortim da Boa Viagem, and a close-up view of the Museum of Tomorrow. There were commentaries in English from the speakers at different attractions. It was very informative (but when the boat ride was fast, it was a bit hard to hear due to the wind). It is a great way to watch the sunset, see Rio from a different angle, and catch a glimpse of Niterói, the city on the other side of the bay. If you plan to join this tour in the winter, don't forget to bring a jacket; the wind can make the ride chilly.

This is a wonderful boat ride with fun bossa music. We'd done it once before and thoroughly enjoyed it. But this time, the only trip offered was at 4:00pm, and although the daytime temp had reached 80F, it was _very_ cold out on the water. If you do it then, be sure to bring a warm jacket to put on as necessary. Too bad there isn't a sailing midday this time of year.

A truly value for money tour that will give you a glimpse into different sites that can not be appreciated otherwise. Helpfull stuff and thoroughly information given about each site we passed by or stopped for fotos.

I thoroughly enjoyed the boat tour. It was an exceptional experience to gain a unique perspective on Rio de Janeiro. The favourable weather conditions, characterized by clear skies and abundant sunlight, provided optimal lighting for capturing photographs.

This is a pleasant and compact cruise that doesn’t cost a lot of money. I would recommend it to a friend but there are some issues, several of which could be easily fixed.
1. Boarding - There are literally no signs or directions on what to do when you arrive at the marina (in any language). I thought it was the right boat based on the picture, then the guy at the dock pointed me to a random booth, the lady at that booth left while I was in line, then another crowd just started getting on so I did too. It would cost 50 BRL to print a few signs.
2. Inaudible Narration - If you are not first to board you have to sit inside. Even though the cabin was less than half full, I could hear a word of the narration over the other passengers and the engine. It is theoretically in English and Spanish which is nice. Turn it up!
3. Limited Ability to Be Outside - If you are seated inside you are not allowed on the deck while the boat is moving which kinda defeats the point of being out to sea a little.
The staff was courteous once we boarded and the bar is good. The route had nice stops, including under a landing plane. Just be aware of what you’re buying and if you’re picky skip the cruise.

The boat didn't turn up
Several people had taken the time to turn up and no one had been informed the trip had cancelled.
The tour operator blamed Viator, Viator blamed the tour operator.

We sat upstairs as it was a cloudy day & to take some pictures. Unfortunately, we could hardly understand what was being announced due to the motor & wind. The drinks on board were weak & expensive. Sadly, I do NOT recommend this tour.

Great cruise! Love the sightseeing and the crew was very nice to us! I wish it was a little more organized before we get on the board; guests seems to be a bit confused by the check in system since we already brought tickets ahead of time. Pick up location was very easy to find but the need a banner or bigger sign to see their company name.
