Paragliding was absolutely incredible! Dalton was amazing — he explained everything so clearly, made me feel completely comfortable, and gave me confidence before and during the flight. The entire experience was smooth, safe, and so much fun. I felt knowledgeable and at ease the whole time, which made it even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this experience and especially flying with Dalton!

The flight itself was absolutely amazing, and Luiz was great. However, I wouldn’t recommend booking this experience as a group. We went as a group of four, and only two of us were able to fly. We were told it was due to weather, but that didn’t seem to be the real issue—after two people from our group flew, the same pilot immediately took two other passengers. Our group had a 7:30 a.m. excursion time and should have been prioritized, but we were sent away because the company was overbooked and only had one pilot available. Because of this, the group experience was a major inconvenience.That said, I do recommend this experience if you’re going solo. Just be cautious when booking as a group. the two people then never got to experience this because the next day two passengers were in an accident.

Your feedback is very important to us. Your booking took place during the busiest week of the year. The paragliding option was offered at all times; however, some of our pilots were participating in a free flight championship in Governador Valadares, which significantly reduced the number of available pilots.
I sincerely apologize for this. We clearly communicated the waiting time and the possibility that the other two participants might need to reschedule for another day, as they preferred hang gliding only. Accordingly, we rescheduled their flights for a few days later, and everything was set.
Unfortunately, we were unable to complete their flights due to the closure of the club following an accident involving another team at our location. We provided them with a full refund.
We always strive to deliver the best experience to our customers. However, due to various circumstances, we are sometimes unable to meet our usual 5-star quality standard, and for that, I sincerely apologize.

The whole experience was fun and easy to navigate. I just showed up at the meetup location, which is the local hang gliding club. I was quickly directed to meet up with my lead pilot who walked me through the whole process. Then we went up the mountain, got set up, waited our turn, and jumped. It was a great experience, though a bit tense if you're not a fan of heights. Highly recommended.

I recommend the experience. It makes me want to do it again somewhere else. The takeoff is truly sensational, and organizing it with Viator is simple. However, it's still quite expensive, especially considering the 360° images offered.

Unskippable experience if you're visiting Rio! The waiting experience is a bit confusuing since the runners are independent, but they take safety and the customer experience extremely seriously. Fully recording is included just make sure to move your camera around since your responsible for capturing your own footage. Both session runners were super cool and reassuring, would 1000% recommend

My partner and I booked the hang gliding trip after travelling South America all the way from Australia only to be let down by this tour and not complete the hang gliding. After some pour weather in the morning there was some delays and flights couldn’t take off until later and this company took the opportunity to heavily persuade us into changing from hang gliding to para gliding as the “weather wasn’t good enough”. We reluctantly said yes to make sure we could still go however so many other groups were still taking off well before us and doing hang gliding. This company has extremely poor communication and organisation skills. It was lucky for our two pilots who saved the day and gave us an amazing para gliding flight otherwise this would have been a disaster.

Agent kept pushing for para gliding despite our clear written instructions for hang gliding and perfect weather conditions with green flags.. flight was only 4 mins , we were told it's over 10 mins... and most dadly, we were there from 9:45am to 2pm.. all this after paying $1200, prebooked, pre paid and had left 5 family members - small kids and parents - back at the hotel for over 6 hrs..

Three of us went for the hang gliding experience. We got there very early but the weather wasn't right for it. So we waited some time for it that morning to get better. Positives; the instructors explained everything that was going on. They go through a training exercise to prepare you. There was a small cafe on top of the mountain. Cons, we only got 2 instructors for 3 people. We had to wait some time for the third person to come down from the mountain. The overall experience was adrenaline filled and we got good videos from it.

Holy heavens what a surreal experience hang gliding was! Huge thanks to Ed who made this such a fun, safe, and a once-in-lifetime experience! I’ve been skydiving and bungee jumping, and hang gliding was the most enjoyable experience that I would totally love to do again. Floating like an angel over the forest mountains and then the ocean and beach?! My goodness!
I did have to wait a couple hours before my flight time due to a hang gliding competition but it was well worth the wait. Thanks Ed and team for the memories!

It was my first time paragliding and it was amazing. The guys there are very relaxed and nice, which was exactly what I needed. And of course, beautiful vieww!! Heads up, the video taken as part of the price is pretty zoomed in onto you. If you want a more panoramic view, it’s extra, and I recommend it!

My friends and I would never recommend this to anyone. My group of 4 was extremely disappointed. We booked the 8:30am tour slot and didn’t finish as a group until past 3pm. I have pictures and receipts of proof of this. 6.5 hours later is unacceptable. The guide did warn us in the beginning it would take an hour or so longer but never 7 hours total. We missed another afternoon tour as a result. On top of that, the hanggliding experience was 5-7 minutes for each of us. Marketed online as longer. The guide was not interested too, could tell he was putting on a show for video and camera but before and after recording was not happy to be there at all. In addition, they charged part of our group insurance AFTER we already did the experience, not before. I have proof of this too. Just all around the worst experience from a Viator tour ever. We would never choose to do this company again.

I’ll preface this saying the experience of the flight itself was great (even if it was not the hang gliding we were hoping for) and Luiz and the team did give us some additional camera footage as an apology (after asking - no compensation was initially offered), however in general the communication and coordination of this experience left a lot to be desired.
We arrived on time, however weren’t told who to meet, where to wait and what to do. The flight school area is very chaotic, particularly if your Portuguese is poor. Despite messaging on WhatsApp and Viator, I didn’t even get a response until 1hr in. We kept being delayed and delayed, and I think were forgotten about. We were ushered to one side and not really treated with very much care. We waited nearly 3 hours with very little communication until we managed to even meet our guide/pilot, who was about to take another group without looking for us, after we’d just spoken to his colleague on the phone.
The main issue was that the communication was poor and was from someone in the office who was not communicating with the instructor/pilot properly. It would really be better if you had the direct number for the pilot.
As we were now running late for another activity, we took the only remaining options available. We booked this because we would have liked an English speaking guide, however he was busy with another group, so we made do. We were also told that the weather was not good enough for hang gliding, which was the reason I booked this (expensive) experience, but the weather can’t be helped, and at this point, we just wanted to go up, so accepted this, only to see 3 hang gliders go off the ramp as we arrived…
Finally flying (for 7 minutes…) was great, however having a pilot with limited language skills wasn’t great for health and safety at the top of the ramp and the wait we had to endure was simply just not worth the reward. It was sadly just a very very disappointing morning wasted, and could have been made so much easier with a little more care.
For anyone thinking of booking this tour, I wouldn’t necessarily say avoid it, however I’d recommend book the earliest flight in the morning, as your instructor/ pilot can’t then be stuck up the mountain without communicating, and also ask for your pilots name in advance, as that is who you need to tell the flight school you are looking for.
And for the operator, I’d recommend you give a clear set of instructions of who to talk to at the flight school, what to expect in terms of wait and check in and please specify which pilot to ask for. We had no idea, and coupled with the poor communication throughout the day, it unfortunately left a bad taste in our mouth for what should have been an amazing experience.

It was a very busy Saturday, with many clients, so the waiting area was chaotic, but the main issue was the bad wind that day, generating long lines and delays in takeoffs, making the whole process slower. I understand that your workday has limited hours, but we work with nature and some days are more complicated. Regarding the pilot's name, it is in your online reservation - Luiz Ireno, usually this is not a problem for me, sorry for this. From takeoff to landing, it was absolutely fantastic. The pilot clearly knew what he was doing, and I even got the chance to steer the glider myself!

I was originally booked for a Monday but the weather was terrible! Daniela was a pleasure to communicate with. She let me know the weather wouldn’t work. Neither did Tuesday. I was rescheduled & squeezed in for Wednesday. Arrival to the location was very easy and the process was seamless to check in. My pilot Delton was super kind, great positive energy and gave clear instruction. I knew I was in good hands and I enjoyed the ride. He made sure I got all the shots and kept me engaged throughout the experience. Even sung happy birthday to me in the skies! 10/10

If hang gliding in Brazil isn't on your bucket list, it needs to be—immediately. From the moment I was strapped in, nerves and all, I felt like I was about to take flight in the best way possible. As soon as we launched off the cliff, it was pure magic. The views of the ocean, the mountains, and the colorful rooftops of Rio below were breathtaking. I felt like a bird!
My instructor Nito was amazing—super chill, funny, and made me feel completely safe the entire time. He even snapped some incredible photos of me near the edge . The landing was smoother than I expected—no crash, just a graceful glide onto the sand but make sure you listen to him while landing that's were the skills come into play.
10/10 recommend if you’re in Brazil and looking for that once-in-a-lifetime adrenaline rush with a view that will have your jaw on the floor. I still can’t believe I did it—and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Sao Conrado’s tandem flight was who we were booked with. Unfortunately we have forgotten the name of the instructor, but he was very experienced and reassuring.
There’s also a lovely place to sit with a cold drink whilst watching all of the paragliders and hang gliders come in to land. We sat for ages watching them all.

This was an incredible experience. I chose paragliding because I wanted to be seated. I was super excited to do it until I got to the top and got scared lol. My guide reassured me and off we went.
