I booked the hang gliding activity with transportation. The experience was very beautiful and completely worth it. My guide was very friendly and reassuring the entire time. The staff moved quickly and efficiently. I would definitely do it again!!!!

It was a truly memorable experience in Rio. The pilots were great, very fun and passionate, and the video footage is really cool too. I recommend going as early in the day as possible for the best chance at good winds and having the biggest number of pilots available.

I’ll start by noting that is this truly a once in a lifetime (at least) experience and it was so amazing. However, this company in particular is mismanaged, leading to a lesser experience.
I booked my start time as 11 am, however waited a total of 5 hours before jumping off. Of course, there’s travel time in there >20 minutes, however I waited a significant amount of time. It’s worth noting that other companies seemed to be in order, having their guests off the group within 20 minutes of arrival. For me, that was deeply frustrating, especially as hour after hour passed.
Once you’re in the air, it is truly amazing. I can’t recommend it enough. This company needs to improve in their administration before that happens.

Flying with Roto was a fantastic experience. My pilot for hang-gliding was Nilo and he was efficient in explaining what we would do to take off but also easy to speak to ( in my very broken Portuguese). The facility was neat and clean and the bathrooms were VERY clean and well maintained.
I loved that they have a covered viewing platform so you could watch others before your flight. Overall, this was a 10/10 for me. Nothing I have done to date can compare.

There was a 2 hour wait while we were up at the top, but that isn’t due to the fault of anyone! Wind conditions must be up to par before you go. I appreciate the safety precautions! Our guides were very professional and knowledgeable. They made sure we got awesome footage and got to see the most beautiful views! Would highly recommend.

This was an amazingly fun and peaceful experience! My first time doing anything like it so I was definitely nervous but everything went according to plan and was clearly nothing to be nervous about at all! Absolutely worth the premium camera views! I’ll also say I really wanted to hang glide but I’m a bigger guy so I had to paraglide instead, which actually gets you more air time! 🪂

From start to finish this was an incredible experience. The communication prior to our tour was fantastic and my request for private transportation to the meeting site was easy to make. They arranged a Felipe as our driver who was a godsend. He expeditiously drive to the site and secured two qualified pilots to take my husband and I paragliding. He generously shared his bug spray as we failed to wear any prior to going to the ramp. After a short wait our pilots provided simple but excellent instructions and we enjoyed an amazing flight. I would highly recommend.

Such a fun experience would do it again. I actually found it scarier than skydiving. Only thing I would say is it’s a little confusing to know where to meet the instructor so definitely contact them an hour before arriving like they request as they meet you at the meeting point.

Incredible experience, highly recommend!
We booked for 11am but had a message from one of the instructors suggesting coming earlier. The traffic out of Copacabana early is bad so it's definitely worth leaving plenty of time to get there.
On arrival I needed to ask the info centre which kiosk was the right one because there aren't any signs, that would be my only criticism.
We waited around near the beach for 45 minutes or so for our pilots to be ready, sort forms and insurance payment etc. then drove up to the launch point in the forest.
It didn't take long to get set up at the launch point, we had a very brief intro which was enough to know the basics.
The flight was incredible, such a great experience.
Once down you get to see your videos. The main video which is included is pretty decent but then you have the option to buy addition ones. The 360 view is really cool, if you're even considering getting this make sure you've downloaded the 360 app before hand.
One of the staff members provided a WiFi hotspot so we could order an Uber back to our hotel which was helpful but there are plenty of taxis around that area.

Did paragliding in Rio with this incredible family run business and it blew me away. From check in to landing, the whole team made it seamless. The mom and son were warm and welcoming, and the dad (owner) took it to another level. His energy is unmatched. He made the entire flight fun, safe, and unforgettable. Felt more like flying with a friend than a guide. Highly recommend if you want an experience that’s more personal than commercial.

INCREDIBLE experience, the instructor has over 27 years of experience and so made me feel completely safe. He’s very funny and kind so made it feel not so crazy to do even though it was my first time gliding and I was so nervous! Must do in Rio with this company specifically, all the staff (camera crew, driver, etc) are so fun to be around, they will only fly if it’s safest conditions, I had to reschedule because of weather and they even dropped me at a breakfast place that day since we couldn’t fly. When it was finally just the right conditions, it was the best day ever and flew like a bird. Highly recommend

The gliding experience itself was great and we had good conditions. The disappointing part was that I felt rushed - processed. I am a lighter weight guy, but we landed before the heavier person that took off before we did. Based on the video, our flight was just over 6 minutes, when other reviews I had read spoke of 8-9 minutes of flight. I was at the landing beach the day before and observed the flight pattern and range of many that day. The flight path my guide chose to take was far more direct. So, at the price point, another couple of minutes would have been 25% more experience and I was having fun and enjoying the whole time in the air, so no idea why it was cut so short. If I make it back to Rio, I will go for the experience again, but with a different company.

This was our favorite activity during our trip in Rio! The guides were extremely safe and knowledgeable - they fly at last 5 times a day. Very easy check in process and they drive you up to the take-off area and you are told what to expect and the safety protocol. They have a couple different checks and then you are off! Such an incredible experience. Seeing Rio from a bird's eye view is a once in a lifetime experience.

From start to finish, this was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life! I went hang gliding during my trip to Brazil and honestly, I was terrified at first—but the amazing team made me feel safe, supported, and totally ready to take on the skies.
The instructors were incredibly professional, friendly, and clearly experienced. They walked me through every step of the process, and their calm confidence helped ease my nerves. Once we took off, it was pure magic. Soaring over the breathtaking landscapes of Brazil with the ocean, mountains, and city below me was absolutely surreal.
I’m beyond proud of myself for facing my fear and doing something so out of my comfort zone. If you’re even thinking about trying this—do it! You’ll walk away with incredible memories, stunning photos, and a whole new sense of confidence.

This was absolutely the best way to end my trip to Brazil! I had a phenomenal time and I have to say that this company had amazing communication via WhatsApp. I had multiple questions before hand gliding, and I was always promptly answered via WhatsApp. Hang gliding over Rio de Janeiro was the coolest thing that I’ve ever done and probably the coolest thing that I’ll ever do.
