These were pretty much worthless. You still wait in a line to redeem your voucher in the same place that everyone else waits to buy their tickets. And there is a self service booth that faster that you can’t use with these tickets. After you have tickets almost everyone got on the next train. At no point did anyone check our wristbands. Most importantly, they are not valid on the return ride just the ride up. Save you money and just get there early and buy your tickets there. This is seriously a nonproduct.

Skipping the line to get tickets and board the train was worth every penny paid. We were not prepared for standing in the long line necessary to return to the starting point. I expected that we would be skipping the line on both ends. I feared we would be late getting back to our ship.

Waste of money...should get a refund. Paid to skip the line and were lined up with all the others who did not pay for your services

Excellent communication with the tour company customizing our tour before our trip. Our tour guide, Tiego was a great. He met us on time at the cruise port and took us to Christ the Redeemer where he stayed with us and directed us to the right locations and lines the entire time. He was also very informative on our tour of the city. We observed Sugar Loaf Mountain but didn't go up and also visited the Selaron Steps. Tiego took pictures for us which he later sent to me. He was very kind and attentive.

This is an absolutely fabulous tour, but you must get the skip the line tickets. Spectacular views, fun train ride up through the woods.
Dunia_R, Mar 2026
It is not worth to pay for skip the line ! The only advantage is to get the tickets little faster other than that the rest of the process you must make the lines and try to catch the train like anyone else!

We had the absolute pleasure of spending a full day in Rio with Luis as our private tour guide, and we could not have been more pleased with the experience. Luis is exceptionally knowledgeable and clearly very well-educated on a wide range of subjects. His expertise in the Botanical Gardens was especially impressive — he shared fascinating insights about the plants, their origins, and their role in Brazil’s natural and cultural history.
Throughout the day, Luis also provided rich historical context about Brazil, including meaningful and informative perspectives on Afro-Brazilian history. His storytelling made the city come alive and gave us a much deeper appreciation for Rio beyond its beautiful scenery.
In addition to being an outstanding guide, Luis was extremely courteous, professional, and a very safe and attentive driver. He thoughtfully planned our route, ensured we were comfortable at all times, and truly guided us through the city in a way that felt seamless and personalized.
This was one of the best private tour experiences we have ever had. We highly recommend Luis to anyone visiting Rio who wants a knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely kind guide.

It was beautiful and perfect! Skip the line was the fastest way to go! We had the best time and the weather was perfect

Very efficient and easily accessible. Had no issues getting the skip the line ticket at the kiosk. All the staff are really helpful.
Anand_G, Mar 2026
Worked flawlessly. There is no tour guide but you just show this to the ticket counter and you get a ticket and a yellow band. You then get to skip the line on the way up and down. I WAS REALLY nervous this was not going to work. But it did and was very easy! Buy early as they run out!
Also a tour guide is not needed as this jist for pictures and the view.

Carlos is an encyclopedia of knowledge and adds so many insights to the tour. Born here his insights we're wonderful. We can't recomend a better guide, one of our best ever. If you want an excellant tour you won't regret hiring him. Also gave us great restaurant and other recomendations.

Really good, skipped the line going up not available coming down. You have to approach one of the attendants as there is no signs for "skip the line". Would recommend it as it was busy and very hot.
Reut_H, Mar 2026
If the weather is good the views are incredible and the statue is quite impressive in person. The train ride up is scenic and cute, and def nicer than driving up the hill (we took a cab there and the driver misunderstood us and drive us halfway up the mountain instead of to the train station, so we got to do both hahah).
There was no real “line” to skip so if I was to do it again I would just get the regular tickets and wouldn’t spend the extra money on the fast pass.

A must...dont even think about waiting in the line. Totally worth it. Go to the attraction directly. Little confusing details.
Keith_T, Feb 2026
Always use the skip the line feature. It's worth the expense, unless you enjoy standing in line for three hours in extreme heat and humidity.
Jessica_B, Feb 2026
Just buy skip the line, it’s so worth it. You can’t use it on the way back down but it was perfect, minimal wait time.
Bria_J, Feb 2026
This was not worth $91. Yes you skip long lines at train station, but you still end up waiting for at least 20 min with everyone else for train. Also, this doesn’t include any other excursions. Too expensive for just Christo and not include Selaron Steps or Sugarloaf Mountain
Joshua_S, Feb 2026
Dont by the skip the line pass you will pay extra for nothing. Nobody tells you where to go so you end up waiting with everyone else. When we asked someone upstair they said it was only to go up… Bad experience
Sondra_M, Feb 2026
The skip the line pass was definitely worth it for us! We arrived around 10:30 on a Friday morning. The line was long and the temperature hot. We spoke to an attendant, were sent directly to the ticket booth, then directly to the front of the line. One train departed as we arrived, then we got on the next train. We definitely saved a couple of hours by the looks of it. Gave us more time to travel over to Sugarloaf next.

This one is tricky. You get to skip the first line waiting, which saved us at least 40 minutes. But in order to make it work, our Portuguese-speaking tour guide had to ask employees in three different locations, and we did sail through. But reviewers who said it didn’t work for them probably had a language barrier.
Donald_T, Jan 2026
This is a, Godsend for seeing this super busy & popular iconic site. I guesstimate this was, probably 4-5 times faster than a, regular ticket. And it helped that we, also had an experienced guide with it as, sometimes it wasn't clear where to go to best use it in the several queues up the mountain. And that's, in part because the crammed regular line blocked our way. But our guise knew to politely but assertiveky move forward past them. This ticket is like the Fast Pass ticket at the busiest amusement park you've ever been to. Defibetly worth it if your don't have 4 or more hours to stand in the regular line fot this one excursion.
Dejan_R, Jan 2026
Skip the line is worthwhile to get because you would feel the difference and get up there faster! With our tour guide which we booked separately, this was amazing option because he joined us throughout the time we spent there, as he probably had the option to get there faster too.
Laraine_M, Jan 2026
Even having purchased the Skip the Line Tour, still had to queue up. Appeared very disorganised. Got to ticket office, issued with wrist band, but few direction from there. Finally made it through, but should be an easier process.
Pamela_S, Jan 2026
Great experience - thanks to these tix we were able to show our voucher to skip the long line and get our tix quickly. Gave us more time to enjoy the statue and views!
Mark_G, Jan 2026
Tickets didn’t work, took an extra 30 minutes to escalate through staff to generate manager override
Matthew_J, Jan 2026
The "Skip the line" tickets were well worth it during the peak January tourist season. We got to the front of the train line only 5 minutes after arriving.
It was 35C so my only negative comment was about there being almost zero shade whilst waiting the 10 minutes for the train to arrive to take us to the top. Did I mention it was 35C and very hot! Yes, very hot!
James_C, Jan 2026
You absolutely must buy these tickets or spend hours in lines. Also best to visit first thing in the morning.
PaigePortnoy, Dec 2025
Our group really enjoyed Christ the Redeemer. We went early- made the 8am train so we actually didn't have to skip the line because there wasn't a line yet. When we were on our way down though there were definitely a lot more people and the skip the line would have been very useful. As all of the sites say- please plan to get here early to beat the heat and crowds.
David_R, Dec 2025
You see more and experience real local neighbourhoods when you take a small group tour rather than a bus tour.
rami_j, Nov 2025
Nice structure. Consider getting the fast pass tux to save on time. Also consider doing a hike up the mountain if you're fit to do it.
