Many recipes have been preserved within Candomblé and Umbanda terreiros, where food is offered to the origás and shared as a symbol of community and connection. We’ll visit some historical sites and afterwards we’ll have the Afro-Brazilian culinary experience led by Black chefs. At each location, tastings will be offered, showcasing the richness of flavors and traditions that have shaped the country’s identity.

Gamboa, the city’s port area, is full of secrets, hidden history and forgotten stories that, once uncovered, can shed light on a fascinating part of Rio de Janeiro.
