Great communication via WhatsApp after booking prior to meeting time. Perfect size boat with not too many people. Drinks were always available and the crew were excellent. To manage expectations, you don't travel too far' mainly remain in the bay and depending on the time of year, the tour might be over prior to the full sunset, but the trip is a MUST DO!

Well organized from the start. Good communication about where to meet the sailing crew, with several texts confirming meeting time. The three crew we had on our boat provided food & drink as well as taking photos during the sail. Three hours of peaceful bliss with amazing views.

While we didn't get to see the sunset because of the clouds covering the sun, it was still the perfect sunset sail. I loved seeing Rio's beautiful topography from the bay. The crew was especially friendly, serving tasty snacks and drinks. We highly recommend!

We are visiting later in the month, the wrong date was booked and even after multiple attempts to contact the company about managing our tour and adjusting the date no one responded to emails or calls. Very unprofessional.

As our tours operate with a limited number of spots per departure, last-minute changes are not always possible once availability becomes restricted. We had a wonderful sunset sailing cruise with Dream Destination Rio (ddrio.com) 10 passengers in total (we were the oldest) around Guanabara Bay in Rio! Our crew of 3 included the captain, Apollo, and his helpers, Adriana and Lutetia! We sailed around the bay including getting close to the water’s edge of Sugarloaf Mountain which we had been on the top of only 2 days prior. Of course, we were constantly in view of Christ the Redeemer Statue on top of Corcovado Mountain! Adriana and Lutetia served us drinks and snacks whilst we cruised for 3 hours. We enjoyed chatting to them throughout the cruise learning about life in Rio! Lutetia was particularly friendly and engaging and spoke great English! Highly recommend our experience with DD Rio!!! They cancelled the tour 1 hour agter the scheduled…… We waited for 1 hour before telling us it is cancelled……… TOTAL WASTE OF TIME….. Dont book with them

Our ancient Sailboat failed!

We sailed on an overflow boat and it DIED in the middle of the harbor. The captain got us back to the marina with a tow and harbor assist an hour later than expected. The crew was wonderful but the boat was uncomfortable and archaic. The boat was too small for passengers!

Nightmare Boat

Boat was too small and cramped. Had to sit across from others with legs immobile and intertwined. Boat not designed for this sort of thing. We chose to get off and forego what looked to be a grueling experience. This tour needs to be re-examined by Viator. Not good for your image...

We had such a great experience. It was nice that this was a small group on the boat so everyone had plenty of room. The crew were very attentive to us and made wonderful drinks. There was even snacks and fresh fruit. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a sunset sail.

Booking was simple as was communication with the tour operator. The boat was just the right size. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They did well to satisfy the very diverse group we had onboard. Everyone got along well and enjoyed their time. It was nice to see places I hadn’t seen along with all the hot spots. I enjoyed getting to jump in and swim for a while. Snacks and beverages were great. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Would do it again and highly recommend.

The tour itself was good but the boat was too small for that number of passengers. It didn't feel safe and no life jackets were provided. I was drenched by the time we got back because water kept splashing onto the boat and there was no enough space on the deck. I recommend they should reduce the number of passengers to a maximum of four.

Great experience sailing around Rio's coast and bays. The boat was small and took around 10 people on deck. Drinks and snacks were provided and freely available. The crew were so friendly and helpful and we had a great time. It got a little chilly towards the end but this didn't spoil the experience for us. I would definitely recommend doing this trip to others.

I booked this thinking it was more of a party sunset cruise it was not, it was more laid back & chill which ended up being very nice. Mother Nature had other plans as during our cruise it was a bit cloudy, got to see some good views but probably not as great as they can be. Drinks on the cruise & little to snack on it was a nice way to just chill & enjoy the scenery. U can go in the water should u choose too, none in our trip did, everyone seemed to just enjoy the views, nice music & drinks.
