Make your own way to the designated meeting point in the Sao Conrado neighborhood and head to Tijuca National Park, which is surrounded by the lush Atlantic Forest.
After a safety briefing, gear up and head to the launch point. Then, feel the rush of the wind as you glide through the sky, safely accompanied by an experienced instructor. Enjoy unparalleled views of the Atlantic Ocean, Sugar Loaf Mountain, the Rocinha favela, and the Christ the Redeemer Statue atop Corcovado Mountain.
The flight concludes with a gentle landing on the pristine sands of Sao Conrado Beach. If you'd like to capture the memories with photos and a video of your hang-gliding experience, upgrade to include a DVD.

- A maximum of 8 people per booking
- If you plan taking the 360° camera option, it's recommended to install the "insta 360" app from the App store/Play Store before you come, this will help expediting imagery transfer times after your flight.
- Pictures and videos are usually downloaded to your phone so please make sure to have at least 3GB available for the standard imagery and another 7GB if you're planning on taking the 360° camera option.
- This activity is weather dependent so delays or cancelations may occur influenced by wind and weather, we always recommend you to contact us before you head over for the latest weather updates.
- As on any aeronautical activity weight is a decisive factor. By booking this activity please be advised that people over 90kg (about 200lb) can be directed to Paragliding if safety concerns caused by atmospheric conditions demand so. This should be considered a reference since height/weight ratio and other physical factors about the participants capacity of safely performing his role during the activity can also affect such decision.

Communication regarding a delay did not occur even after we called ahead to confirm. After waiting almost an hour to be picked up, we reached them and they said they forgot to call us. However, it was rescheduled for later in the day, and it was an amazing flight and very professional guides.

The experience itself is great | 100% recomme nd doing it but Everything around that not so g ood, they schedule one ore but made us wait 40 minutes for the pick up, not for weather pro blems which happens yo so you have ti consid er for your schedule but for pick up we wait m ore than 40 minutes so consider that for your t ime in Rio, I pay for 2 people doing hang glidin g but when we arrive they say they are full and one of us have to do paragliding even we reser ved with good time for doing this, and the instr uctor with passive aggressive attitude since pi ck up. despite this I totally recommend doing t he jump!

Often we suffer delays caused by nature, mostly unsuitable winds, when that happens we will always do our best to get you guys going. When you where offered to switch to paragliding, we where very backed up due to natural interference and that was the option to avoid you a long wait. It was a bit chaotic, possibly because we didn’t know what we were doing. We didn’t expect the 120 Reals insurance payment, nor did we realise that we needed passport numbers. Apart from that, it was scary, exhilarating and brilliant!

While I greatly enjoyed the experience, I was disappointed and a little ticked off to find out that I still had to pay more for the experience beyond the $230 I spent here. I had to pay for the club fees, which in all honesty should have been advertised as an extra cost and added to the total here. The real cost is around $260.

Conncwrning the club fee, this is clearly and transparently explained in the "non inclusions" of the product before you book it, after you book it you where once again reminded on the confirmation email and for last the non inclusions are once again described in your voucher.
It's important to clarify that this payment is a usage fee charged by the hang gliding club since they maintain the whole take of infrastructure including the access road and the safety staff. This fee also covers the insurance you have during the activity.
Since it's to be paid to a third party we can not receive it with the payment of our services.

The flight experience was wonderful
The directions to the location were not precise. The Uber would have dropped me at the location mentioned….a fruit store
The instructions should say on the Beach across from the large building with numerous flags…“the Rio Air Club”
Also, it seems as as though they take last minute call ins. I got bumped 1.5 hours.

The flying experience itself was thrilling, but the lack of proper safety and preparation made it far from enjoyable. My hand got caught between the ropes during the flight, and for what felt like ages, I thought it might break. With no thorough safety check or clear instructions beforehand, we had to struggle mid-air to free my arm, and it’s still swollen and painful. On top of that, no one warned us about the sandflies at the takeoff zone, which left me covered in more than 20 bites that have been itching relentlessly. While the instructor knows how to glide, his attention to safety and communication needs serious improvement. If you plan to try this, I’d recommend looking for a more professional operator and bringing insect repellent.

We're glad to know you still had a good time. It's always important to state that besides being a fun and thrilling adventure, this is still an activity that involves some risk, therefore it's crucial to listen carefully and follow instructions correctly. After the pre flight safety check you removed your arm from the correct and already checked position twice even after being warned not to do it, which ended up causing your discomfort.
Please be carefull in following all procedures strictly whenever engaging in such activities again.

The flying experience itself was breathtaking, but the overall safety and preparation left much to be desired. Instructions were rushed and unclear, with no real explanation provided—just a quick rundown that felt like it was shoved into my mouth without much thought. The instructor repeatedly told me I would “fall into position naturally” during the flight, but instead, my head went straight into the frame, leaving me stuck there long enough to injure my jaw. This was preventable with proper guidance and preparation.
Additionally, we weren’t informed about the biting insects at the takeoff zone. Sandflies were everywhere, and I left with more than 20 bites that have been itching incessantly and will likely take at least two weeks to heal. A simple warning to bring insect repellent would have gone a long way.
While the instructor clearly knows how to fly, his skills as an instructor are severely lacking. If you’re considering this activity, I’d recommend going with a different operator for your safety and comfort—and don’t forget to bring insect repellent!

Considering the bugs, we operate in a dense tropical forest inside a national park, insects thrive in this kin of environment, specially when we have rainy periods. Even with insect repellent being available at the kiosk at the launch site, it's smart to carry some in your daypack whenever visiting forested areas around Rio.

I booked this experience with the hotel pickup. However when you book there is more a place to add your hotel address. I sent a message immediately and got no response. I sent another message 4 days before I am supposed to fly and STILL NO RESPONSE. Viator then contacted this company 2 days before I was to fly and AGAIN MO RESPONSE. I then decided to cancel and book through another company as I really wanted to paraglide for my birthday. These people finally sent me a message at 10:57 pm the night before asking for the hotel address so that they could provide a pick up time. I am so glad I canceled as they were horrible with communication. They has 12 days to answer me but chose to do it the night before at 10:57 when most people are sleep.

Unfortunately we never got your first messages. At the moment you told us that you canceled, your booking was still active after the 24h cancelation period, so you didn't really cancel the activity in a real sense, which makes me belive that you didn't either really send us the messages since our team monitors communication channels regularly several times a day, maybe there was some confusion when operating the platform. So as you had active reservation we did provide your transportation but you didn't show. All that said we still issued you a refund, after the cancelation period and your no showing.

Pretty short ride in the air, they were late for pick-up and try to force sell you the additional money cameras…. Nice instructors but the ride in the air is only about 4 minutes then you land.
Not worth the price and not as fun.

I was very excited to do this and this is supposed to be the highlight of my trip to Rio. The communication was mishandled, was waiting for hours at the hotel for their instructions. I was booked in advance and the weather that time was great in real time to do this activity upon checking with concierge.. It was just possibly overbooked that affected your clients, Contacted them multiple times thru whatsapp, message and even the concierge at the hotel several times with your phone number and the other number. A day was wasted waiting for nothing. Then, operator was telling me their phone shut down. You have no reason to cancel this booking and resources to communicate. I have done my very best to communicate with you but not a word. Unprofessional the way you handle this, you don’t understand that every min counts when you are on vacation. How would you feel if this happens to you? Be respectful in communicating coz I was patiently waiting for nothing.

I could not do hang gliding due to I'm fat. But even so it was a great experience.
I'd say it is a must.
The only moment you will have some fear is when you take off, and when the instructor said he is in the process of divorce. We never know if this process might make her think that living doesn't worth anymore.

The view is amazing! Konrad on the other hand only cares about making money. The flight was supposed to last 20 minutes but in the end it was 5 Minutes because of the wind. He knew before so he should have charged less or cancel to be fair. After the flight he tried to sell me pictures for another 60€. So of i loved the view of beautiful rio and felt save but i wouldn’t recommend doing it capitalism konrad.
