Highly Recommend So Many Options!

Very friendly tour guide and great amount of options. We were picked up at the hotel, and made our way around to pick up everyone else. During this time we were given multiple options. At our first stop: snorkeling, a buggy tour, and project Tamar. You can do all three but we chose to do two. Highly recommend getting some ice cream and spending some time looking around the shops outside of project Tamar. Also LOVED the buggy tour. Next stop we got food at a restaurant, did some swimming and shopping in the area!

Personal tour of Salvador with Carlos

We had an amazing tour of Salvador with Carlos, he spoke English very well, we learned so much history of Salvador and Brazil from Carlos. He took us to a fabulous place for lunch. He was so patient as I had a leg brace from a knee surgery, he was mindful of having me rest while walking and assisted with stairs. Thank you Carlos, it was an amazing day!

Great Tour of Salvador

Gabriela met us near the cruise ship at about 8:15am and from there, we had a lovely 6 hour tour of the city, with a lunch stop, (our expense) in the touristy, (but a must see), area of upper old town. Gabriela’s English is excellent and her knowledge of the city is superb. Although there are countless churches in Salvador, we limited our visits to the Bonfim Basilica. Had we seen more, the tour would have extended another hour. Book this tour without concern. It’s massively better value than any cruise ship excursion.

Ariel was excellent! He gave us all the info we needed. TAMAR lived up to expectations. I thought after reading some reviews we'd find the conditions sad, on the contrary, everything is clean, well managed and gets you close.to these amazing creatures we must protect. Our tour of Salvador was truly exceptional, thanks to our guide, Vagner. He arrived early, ready to share his extensive knowledge of Salvador, its history, the Afro-Brazilian culture, and the local community. Vagner provided excellent information about Salvador and the various sights we visited. Some of the sights we hoped to see were closed, but Vagner made up for it by sharing information about what we would have seen. Vagner also shared information about activities we could do later. The restaurant recommendations he offered were also superb, adding another highlight to our day. We truly enjoyed every moment of this tour and highly recommend it!
