Visit the Botanic Garden which was created in 1817 by King John VI of Portugal. In its famous greenhouse, more than 500 species of delicate orchids are carefully tended to. We will then make a visit to the Tijuca Atlantic Forest, the largest urban forest in the world, stopping at the Chinese View Belvedere which features a magnificent view of Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, the Guanabara Bay and the Sugar Loaf Mountain. It was great to get out...

It was great to get out of the urban and busy part of the city to visit these two outdoor gems. Nobody else signed up for my tour so I got a solo guide! Wagner was very knowledgeable and clearly loves the outdoors, flora and fauna, and these two parks. He was able to guide me to some of the nicest scenes in the gardens and to a lovely waterfall and vista in the park.

Can’t miss this hike with Thomas!

Thomas is an excellent guide. He is knowledgeable and passionate. He was careful to make sure we arrived and departed safely. He showed us where to go with our Uber driver. He contacted us ahead of time to make sure we knew where we were going. He is great about adapting the hike to the fitness and interests of the participants. I highly recommend. The tour with Thomas was one of the highlights of our trip to Rio de Janeiro.

Great views, great guide!

This was a great experience! Not only did we go on an amazing hike, but also got to see a few other places in the forest, including waterfalls and a cave. Felipe was a fantastic guide speaking great English, going at our pace, taking tons of photos and making sure to point out animals and other points of interest. The views were amazing and he made sure this was super easy and convenient for us. I’d recommend this trip to anyone wanting to do a hike!

Best adventure in Brazil

Almost 3 weeks in Brazil and we did 3 total hikes. This was the best experience. Our guide Ian kept us well informed and entertained throughout. He set a great pace and made this very enjoyable, despite my friend and I being in different fitness levels. The views from the summit were spectacular.
