Great Hike
My group really enjoyed this hike! Our tour guide was friendly, and spoke English and Portuguese which made it easy to communicate. The hike was moderate pace, beautiful scenery with great photo options along the route. Our guide was informative and fun!

10/10 An enriching experience embodying the history and culture of Rio
This was an enriching experience that celebrated and shared the history, art, and cultural influences of Rio. My tour guide Ana Julia was phenomenal in sharing the rich African history of Afro Brazilians and hardships faced during the early stages of their new lives here in the country. She went into important stages of history, old and new which tied into the art and gallery pieces we saw in the museums. I definitely learned a lot and it was an enjoyable experience that made me appreciate not only Rio but the entire Brazilian culture. You won’t regret taking this tour! I saved it for last which was a great choice because it was a sweet end to my first visit to Rio de Janeiro. Thank you Ana Julia!

You do have to be up...
You do have to be up early. Think 0400. But it's well worth it. The guide not only took us to the places, but he made sure we were able to take pictures and he gave us a brief history lesson on the attractions. The itinerary was adjusted to where we did the Selaron Steps before Christ the Redeemer but that was the best thing to do. We started at the top of the steps and walked down, instead of walking up. I think regardless of the time, especially during Carnaval season, it will be almost impossible to be the crowd at Christ the Redeemer.

Lovely evening event!
Great communication via WhatsApp after booking prior to meeting time. Perfect size boat with not too many people. Drinks were always available and the crew were excellent.
To manage expectations, you don't travel too far' mainly remain in the bay and depending on the time of year, the tour might be over prior to the full sunset, but the trip is a MUST DO!

100% worth booking
This was a nice small tour (only 3 of us total) our guide was amazing start to finish. He took us to all the best picture spots and even some secret spots with no crowds so we could enjoy sunrise.
He took all of our photos from all the different angles, we didn't even have to ask he got every single shot for us which we are grateful for.
Honestly the best experience ever.

Exceptional Day in Rio with Karla
We were picked up right at the cruise port by a private driver and our guide, Karla. Communication beforehand was excellent, with very clear instructions about the meeting point. Karla spoke excellent English and was energetic, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about her country. At each stop, the driver dropped us off and Karla guided us personally, sharing a wealth of information, taking photos for us, and making the experience feel very customized. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Carretão, a Brazilian steakhouse, which was a highlight of the day. Karla seemed to know everyone everywhere we went. At both Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer, she greeted the staff warmly and was able to take us straight to the front of the lines, which made a huge difference. It was a fantastic day and a tour I would absolutely recommend—especially with Karla as your guide.

Rainy day...but still incredible
Sometimes you win with the weather and sometimes you lose. We scheduled this tour on a day that unfortunately ended up 100% rain and clouds. Despite the weather, Ederson (our guide) made the day amazing. He adjusted the morning schedule as much as possible in hopes of the weather clearing by afternoon (it didn't).
We had a great tour of the city from his car and learned so much about Rio. We finally attempted the big events late morning (Christ the Redeemer) and Sugarloaf Mountain). We were able to see the Redeemer through the rain and clouds (as a shadow outline), but could see almost nothing from Sugarloaf. I can only imagine how amazing this tour would be on a clear/sunny day.
Another positive to a rainy day...we didn't wait in a single line all day (in peak summer tourism).

We did a guided tour of...
We did the tour of Rio’s historic center and Santa Teresa with guide Renato and enjoyed it overall. The small group made the experience more personal, and Renato was agreeable, knowledgeable, and gave clear, interesting explanations.
The only downside was that it took place on New Year’s Day, so the shops in the city center and the handicraft stores in Santa Teresa were closed. Otherwise, it was a pleasant and informative tour.

Great way to start our trip!!
This was top tier!! I was disappointed that I couldn't take pictures in the beginning but no big deal. I understand the reason. While the ladies were putting decorations on a piece I asked to help and they let me. That was cool. Learning all the information was very interesting. The costume activity was fun!! The dancing was super fun. So glad I arranged this for my group. Highly recommended.

Hands down the best helicopter company.
Hands down one of the best companies we have dealt with during our travels. We were late due to traffic and they made accommodations so that we could still fly. We felt welcomed and invited. The entire team from ground crew to the managers and the pilot all went above and beyond. We had an epic flight around all the promised landmarks. It was a great way to begin our trip and get a lay of the land tour.
The reception crew welcomed us with coffee and a brief explanation of what to expect. Then we proceeded to the flight line where the ground crew and pilot took care of our safety and communication. After liftoff it was a blissful view of the chaos of Rio and the surrounding area. The tour was informative and fun. Throughout the rest of our trip we could repeatedly say “Oh we saw that from the helicopter.”. We are pretty sure that the rest of our tour group was jealous of our time in the sky.
The company is top notch. The employees there make you feel safe and pampered and allow you to relax and enjoy the flight.

Excellent Guides in Rio
We had an excellent guide Diogo and driver Beth. They customized the tour and helped us see many unique and wonderful parts of Rio. Despite the rain, we had an amazing day with wonderful guides. We booked a separate tour with the same company and also enjoyed our time with Igor. Everyone was friendly and gave great history and current events info.

An amazing last minute tour!
Our tour guide, Wellington, was awesome! He gave us amazing information and brought us to some great places to eat, drink, and hang. For anyone visiting, go with an open mind and a willingness to see life through another's eyes. What you'll find is that life is magnificent, fast, and beautiful. You'll meet locals, have time to get food and shop, and get to appreciate the true beauty of life in the Favelas. My husband and I found life there to be its own work of art. And it's a form of art the we personally loved. We had so much fun and would go back again. It was truly captivating and the highlight of our trip. It's going to sound silly, but my favorite part was looking at the electrical wiring, it was just very pretty to me!
Ps, best drinks in Rio 🧉🧉🧉they be doing heavy pours
Again, I would not recommend you go if you are not open minded or if you are going to be judgemental. You are visiting a place that thousands call home. Be respectful of the people and be appreciative that they've welcomed you into their home.
And most importantly- TIP YOUR GUIDES!!!! None of the Europeans on our tour tipped, and that's not cool. They tip in Brazil! Fellow Americans - tip your guides like you'd tip your guides in the states. Don't be cheap!
Other advice, wear good walking shoes and be prepared to walk a lot of steps. If you have issues walking I would not recommend going. Also I'd recommend dressing down. I was dressed up and was fine it was more so that my long skirt made walking the steps more difficult.
