Do yourself a favor and book this tour!
This was the best way to see Dois Irmãos- special shoutout to our fantastic guide Andrew🤩
From the moment we met Andrew, he made us feel like friends visiting Rio; he was incredibly patient, made us feel safe the entire hike, and kept everything interesting by sharing stories and local insights along the way.
He also did a great job accommodating both the faster and slower hikers. On top of taking us to the best viewpoints, he showed us local shops and hidden gems we never would’ve found on our own.
10/10 experience. We’d recommend Andrew to anyone visiting Rio!

Our best tour guide ever!
This was well worth the early departure from the hotel. Our pickup was ontime, safe, and very professional. We met our guide Ederson at the site for the view of the sunrise. He was very knowledgeable about the Redeemer and Rio as a whole. After sunrise we went up to the Redeemer and he continued to explain the history, opinions and conflicts of the citizens at the time. He went above and beyond the topics of the tour and explained a lot of other cultural topics about the country he obviously loves. He did such a great job that we hired him for the next day to take us around to some markets, the forest, a tour of the city, and to a nice quiet beach restaurant an hour outside the city. It was hands down the best experience we have had with a tour guide in our years of traveling. We inadvertently through conversation discovered that our son had Ederson as his guide 6 months prior and had been raving about him before we left for Brazil what are the odds. Thank you Ederson for the wonderful experience. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Matt and Trina.

History, Charm and Great Guiding
Marcela was an amazing guide! She is charming, incredibly knowledgeable, and made the tour enjoyable from start to finish. She guided the group seamlessly in both English and Portuguese and handled Rio’s traffic like a true professional. Thanks to her, we learned so much about the city’s history and culture. Highly recommended!

Rocinha Favela visit
This was a very stimulating, inspiring and memorable experience. We visited a place where 200,000 people live in a way so far from our experience at home. Our tour guide Roberto went out of his way to explain and answer our questions, and with him we felt ultra safe, many thanks to him. There were some 'eye opening' parts of this visit (no spoilers, you have to go to experience the reality of being in a favela). Highly recommended.

It was great to get out...
It was great to get out of the urban and busy part of the city to visit these two outdoor gems. Nobody else signed up for my tour so I got a solo guide! Wagner was very knowledgeable and clearly loves the outdoors, flora and fauna, and these two parks. He was able to guide me to some of the nicest scenes in the gardens and to a lovely waterfall and vista in the park.

If I could give this six stars, I would
If I could give this six stars, I would. Ines was a friendly and interesting guide on a tour which was both informative and enjoyable. It was great being close to this year's floats, and seeing and trying on some costumes and headdresses.
I learned a lot about Carnaval: this experience made me keen to see it for myself one day. Highly recommended.

Rio city tour
Excellent tour with an excellent guide. The tour ticked all the boxes that one would expect while visiting Rio. It was for me probably the only chance I will ever get to visit this magnificent city so the locations visited was of paramount importance.

Larissa 11/10 :)
When it comes to the best tour guide in Rio, look no farther than Larissa! From the start, she was kind, professional, and knowledgeable. A heart of gold and a commitment to justice, she transported us through time and took us on a journey of Afro Brazilian history. From the origination of Quilombos to learning the truth about where the word “Favela” comes from. She was a joy to learn from and was truly a light on our trip to Little Africa.

Exceptional Day in Rio with Karla
We were picked up right at the cruise port by a private driver and our guide, Karla. Communication beforehand was excellent, with very clear instructions about the meeting point. Karla spoke excellent English and was energetic, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about her country. At each stop, the driver dropped us off and Karla guided us personally, sharing a wealth of information, taking photos for us, and making the experience feel very customized. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Carretão, a Brazilian steakhouse, which was a highlight of the day. Karla seemed to know everyone everywhere we went. At both Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer, she greeted the staff warmly and was able to take us straight to the front of the lines, which made a huge difference. It was a fantastic day and a tour I would absolutely recommend—especially with Karla as your guide.

Must do while in Rio
The guide was fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English. She gave great and detailed information about the history of the country, the city of Rio de Janeiro, and some buildings we passed along the way.
The van was air conditioned and great. The Cristo Redentor was packed yet everyone was kind to each other. Take water with you but they sold it 3 for R$20 (about US$4 for 3 bottles).
We also went to the Se Laron steps, be ready to walk up the steps (about 140 or so). It was equally packed also.

Living on the Edge!
This was a physically CHALLENGING experience! If you are not in decent physical shape (great knees, great legs, great lungs), this may not be a tour for you. The hike up the mountain is TOUGH! It is almost an hour long hike on rugged terrain. The Telegraph Stone is at a height of 1161 feet (354 meters). But if you can make it to the top, it is WORTH THE CHALLENGE! The views are breathtaking and the pics are priceless! Mauricio, our tour guide was patient, accommodating and as can be seen, also a GREAT PHOTOGRAPHER, he took my pix shown here, thanks bro. The tour van however is quite OLD and is in poor shape and SHOULD to be replaced. The ride in the van was very uncomfortable. We were all crammed in with little or no leg room. Please please please get a NEW VEHICLE. Would I do this specific tour again? HELL NO as it is very challenging physically plus, unless you're at the telegraph stone at the crack of dawn, you'll have to wait for close to 2 hrs to take your pics as there'll be others ahead of you and some folks in other tour groups are selfish and want to take 50 pics per person! There should be a limit of no more than 10 mins of pic taking per person! Anyway, I am happy I was able to complete the hike and get my pics with that iconic piece of rock! Go for it! You won't be disappointed!

Churches, theatres and coffee shops in old Rio
Millene was a fantastic guide. She tailored the trip to suit our family of four, ( including allowances for one with limited mobility) She showed us the highlights of old Rio, from the churches to the theatres - ending up with at a traditional coffee shop for pastries and drinks (coffee, tea and Guarana ) and was very engaging and a most knowledgeable guide.
