No communication of cancelled trip

The trip was cancelled and no email or text was provided prior. Reykjavík excursions helped us after we arrived at the Bus Terminal. We have requested a refund. Surprised 24 hours later to have had no communication except a text asking for a review. Not sure what to suggest for future travelers re checking prior to getting to bus terminal. The weather was good and we rented a car at bus terminal and went to the waterfalls mentioned and Black Sand beach at Vik. Definitely recommend checking out the South Coast.
