We don’t pick up our guests from their accommodations. We’ll meet at Norte Shopping Center in San Juan. Van/bus will be parked at the shopping center parking lot. Your tour guide will contact you before departure at the number provided during reservation.

Meet up with your fellow travelers in the heart of San Juan and take a van out to the eastern side of El Yunque National Forest, where your adventure begins. Hike for around 25 minutes until you reach a waterfall, where you can take a refreshing dip or take a rope swing into the water. Hike for another 15 minutes to reach a swimming hole with a natural rock slide. As you explore, listen to your guide explain to you about the history, flora, and fauna of the surrounding rainforest.
After your hiking and swimming adventure, head to a family-owned restaurant to dine on homestyle food (at your own expense) before making your way back to San Juan.

- Safety is our priority, in order for you to enjoy the experience to its fullest we may have to slightly forward or delay your start time after reservations are made, to avoid heavy flow of people and betterment of the experience. The notification will be sent by email the evening prior the tour.
- ** If you're traveling with a group but reserved your space separately, you have to notify us that you're together. The chances of being assigned to different tour guides are high, and changes can't be made on the day of the tour ** IMPORTANT: Don’t use the “Special Requirements “ field, contact the provider or notify Viator Customer Support directly.
- We recommend shoes that you won’t mind getting wet and muddy, that have a good grip and thick sole. Sneakers, water shoes or hiking sandals that cover your toes are the best option. Be mindful that sandals, flip flops, croccs or slides are not allowed as it can be dangerous once wet or muddy.
- If you’re using UBER services you can use “Deli Plaza Loiza (Norte)” **KEEP IN MIND we have no affiliation with Uber nor we have any way to change the location or the names in their systems. The name provided for the meeting point in Uber system can change at any point, confirm location through your map and the location of Norte Shopping Center, San Juan.
- Pictures AREN’T part of this experience, if you’d like to bring your phone with you keep in mind you should have a waterproof pouch in order to protect it as it can get damaged during the excursion. Some guides will take pictures which they will share after the tour is done. It’s not their obligation to send this pictures to you after you’ve parted ways
- OFFICE HOURS: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Fridays 9:00 am - 7:00 pm. Thursday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.
- Food stop WON’T be available for tours at 1:00 pm. Our guests are welcome to bring snacks and water, no alcoholic beverages.
- Running late / Cancelling under 24 hrs prior the tour: Contact your assigned tour guide directly to inform them your ETA, they can give a 5 min grace period if they’re informed. If you arrive late you will be considered a NO SHOW meaning no refund or reschedule will be provided. Cancellations under 24 hrs prior the tour won’t be honored and NO refund will be provided.

I had so much fun exploring the rainforest! It was so beautiful! We had so much fun going down the rock water slides, jumping off the rocks, and jumping off with the rope! I totally recommend this to everyone! Mario our guide was the best! He was so knowledgeable, nice, and took nice videos of us going down the slides! He also took nice pictures! Thank you Mario for being the best tour guide! You made the event very memorable and fun!

It was a perfect day for our excursion. The rainforest was beautiful, the water and waterfalls were crisp and refreshing after our trek. The slide was fun, the jumps were 3 different heights and the rope swing was the perfect ending the the water fun. Our tour guide was Sébastien and he was fun and help throughout the excursion. I went with 6 other girls friends for our girls vacation and this was fun and beautiful. They take you for food after, it is an extra cost. We got one platter and some sides and a few drinks. Food was good also.

This tour would have not been the same without our tour guide Gian. He was amazing and fun! The knowledge of the rainforest and culture is amazing. The experience alone was excellent and the food during lunch time (not included) was great. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone if you want an excellent hiking experience.

Such a fun excursion! Our guide Jesus/Chuky was kind, knowledgeable, and his energy certainly added to our experience. The drive was about an hour, and our hike was almost 3 hours. Expect to be away for about 6 hours, maybe 7 with traffic. I wouldn’t go in a swimsuit, but definitely wear clothes that you don’t mind getting wet during some jumps and water slides. I wore Tevas/trekking sandals, but some people in the group wore water shoes or sneakers — it’s all up to your preference! Pack light, I promise you won’t need as much things as you think! We kept our belongings in the car, and Chuky carried 1 phone per group in his dry bag for photos/videos.

Sebastian was friendly and went out if his way to make our trip amazing. He carried everyone phones in his waterproof backpack so they would be extra safe. And he took great pictures and videos which he shared with everyone.

It was a great challenge getting to point B, but overall, a great experience. For future reference, proper footwear like hiking shoes or sneakers. Is a must. Xiary, Orlando and Brian, were excellent tour guys and very attentive with everyone.

ABOVE & BEYOND, No Kizzy, Forreal, From The Moment Orlando (TourGuide/Driver/Primo/Family/AllInOn) He Was ON TIME, Prepared, Personable & Really Way The Core Of Excitement, Fun, Invaluable Memories Created & Made Everyone In Our Group Feel Right At Home & You Literally Feel Like Family! The el Yunque Experience Was Literally My First Tike (Mind You I’m Rican) & It Was 1000000/10 Amazing Views, Scenery, The Water Is Clear & You Just Have To Do It! We Got To Go Down A Couple Water Slides, 3 Height Tiers For Jumping Off Rocks (12/16/20FT) & A Final Rope Jump, After He Takes You To Luquillo For Lunch Which Is Literally Maybe 100 Feet From The Beach! Pristine Clear Absolutely Beautiful Water. His Recs (Recommendations) For Food Are Top Tier & Prices Are Valid Not For Nothing! The adventure started with the bus ride of a life time. Watching Jonathan maneuver the large bus on those small narrow roads was something. He smiled the whole time! The guide Luis was incredible, kind, patient and attentive. He moved with grace while keeping an eye out for every single one of us. He gave detailed instructions and made everything thing fun!! Would totally go again!!! The land was beautiful. My favorite was the rope swing!! Only wish I could have done it a few more times to work off the nerves. Lol visiting La cosita after was great. Their food was amazing. Best part was watching my husband be one with nature 🥰

Miguelito is the best tour guide! Great experience definitely wear water shoes or something with traction. My friends and I wore a workout set. I recommend doing that because it can get a bit rocky. I don’t recommend wearing a bikini

Pack a small bag to leave in bus. Your guides will take all the pictures and airdrop them. Bring a water though for the walk and most likely they can fit it in their bag or if not disposable you leave it at the first site and everyone respects it. Major fun! After you go to a quick stop for a beverage and food if you want. Highly recommend this tour.. all of the tour guides which we were surrounded by were amazing …solid performance!

We had such a blast! Gian was our guide and he was awesome! He was so informative and you could tell he really knew his stuff — even when we had follow up questions, he knew it all! And he was super fun and supportive. I went in thinking I’d skip the cliff jumping part because it seemed scary but he sold me on it and I’m so glad! Everything was safe and fun. An awesome adventure in a beautiful place.
You really don’t need to bring anything other than water if you really need it. Gian took great pictures of us that he air dropped after. Water shoes are a must. The hike isn’t hard but it can be narrow and sometimes slippery.

It was so fun to be able to do this activity. I will say they were not joking around when it comes to being physically able. My mom joined me for this and it was very tough on her, however, what made an impression was how understanding and helpful the staff was. At one point on our way to the water slide, she fell on the rocks. One guide took her right down again and helped her. Jesus was our guide and he was awesome! Very informative and very patient with my mom as we were walking slowly. All and all really fun! Just keep in mind it’s extremely physical !

My family and I had an amazing experience. The hike to the rock slide was challenging but totally worth it. Our guide Jeremy was very friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging the whole way. This was the highlight of our trip for my wife and kids. You will be exhausted but leave with life changing memories.

I would recommend to book early before your travel date. Pick an early time in the day to go to the rainforest so you have extra time throughout the day to enjoy more activities in the afternoon.

This was a super fun excursion into the rainforest with Wilbert! The hike was very minimal, so if you're looking for more of a hiking experience, then this probably isn't for you. The main thing was the water hole with the rope swing, cliff jump and water slide, which was super fun. And there was a short, somewhat challenging hike up to the water slide. Definitely wear water shoes, as your feet will get completely wet. And bring cash for post-adventure bacalaitos and pina coladas! Wilbert was super sweet and very accomodating!

amazing tour guide. awesome experience. make sure you are properly hydrated and eat something before you go! wear tennis shoes that you are okay with getting wet/dirty. make sure you bring towels to leave in the bus. our tour guide took pictures and videos for us and she was very knowledgeable about the environment and surrounding areas around el yunque. definitely book this experience!

Fantastic experience! Must do if you love nature 😌 We forgot to bring water but I would bring water shoes. They also sell them for $10 if you don’t have any. The water was perfect and I would go again, it was nice to see the big trees and hike through puerto rico

I had such a great time on this tour! My tour guides, Daniel and Mueca, were both so nice, helpful, and made the whole experience even better. Daniel shared so many interesting facts about El Yunque and the park, while Mueca’s driving skills are truly one of a kind
My favorite part had to be when we got to the water. We got to do water slides, rope jumping, cliff jumping, and hiking but honestly, it felt more like parkour. It was so much fun and definitely an experience I’ll never forget.
There honestly wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the tour. My only advice would be to make sure you’re prepared for the hike because it was definitely more adventurous than I expected! Overall, I had an amazing time and would absolutely recommend this tour.
