This tour was an awesome mix of all things Old San Juan. It was such a sweet experience to learn the historical background and gain an understanding of how to navigate the area. I traveled to Puerto Rico solo, and chose to book this tour first thing so I could have an idea of the area. After the tour I felt connected to the space, and confident enough to get around on my own.

Our tour guild David was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had great time touring around and learned something about San Juan.

Our guide was very informative and took us to many important spots for sightseeing. He made an effort to stop in the shade and where the breezes were. Overall good tour.

One of the best things we did in Puerto Rico. Our guide was fantastic — clearly passionate and deeply knowledgeable about the history of Old San Juan. Came away learning so much more than I expected. Highly recommend!

Great tour! Gave a great amount of history without being overwhelming. Also, touched on area that had more in depth tours if interested. Would definitely recommend!

David was very informative, kind, and prompt. (Please be prompt too.) we learned so much history. His tour motivated us to visit other sites of interest. Well done.

The walk was very interesting and started on time. The guide considered climate conditions allowing occasional cool spots from the hot sun. The guide was very knowledgeable and had a witty sense of humor.

Great way to explore and learn some of the history of Old San Juan! I feel like I would continue to learn new things if I went on the tour again!
Kisha_M, Jun 2026
The history shared was very interesting. There was a lot of walking with a few breaks along the way. There were many places we wanted to go back to, but were unable to because we were leaving the next day. So I suggest you do the walking tour early in your trip.

David our guide is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Puerto Rico. The tour is educationally. History buffs will be delighted & non-history buffs will actually enjoy the new information. Put on your walking shoes and enjoy Old San Juan!
Allison_F, Jun 2026
Informative guide. Saw lots of principal sites, including churches, park, and historical buildings and learned bits of Puerto Rican history.

David was very knowledgeable, funny, and friendly. He showed us the best, most historical places in Old San Juan. It covers everything you need to know and see about that part of the town, and gives you plenty of time to shop and eat. This activity is good if you travel with teenagers or young adults who enjoy history but might not be interested in details. Overall a must do activity.

David was great! His tour is a must if your visiting Old San Juan. Knowledgeable and friendly.
Only suggestion would be to have him use a mic.

I booked this as our first activity in SJ, and glad I did it that way. The city is easily walkable but I wanted a guide to get more information about the history of the area. Our guide provided a lot of interesting stories and details of different places around town. My only criticism was the tour felt a bit too slow paced for me and my kid. But this could be a positive for other groups. Was still well worth the info provided and glad we did it!

The tour was very educational and the guide was funny too. The architecture of Old San Juan is stunning. The churches are beautiful!
Julie_S, May 2026
Large group, often difficult to hear/understand our guide due to distance away from him and also a heavy accent. If you stayed behind even a little to take a picture, he moved on without you, and had to race to catch up. Very nice, very informative.

David was a great tour guide. We learnred a great deal of San Juan history. A lot of walking but so interesting. Would recommend David to everyone.
Hannah_S, May 2026
David was an excellent tour guide, this was a great tour, perfect length, and we got to see a lot of Old San Juan.
Patti_F, May 2026
Our guide was good but he could have been great if he had shared more info and not repeated what he had already told us. Too much focus on brothels and iguanas. Good tour but more research is needed to share better/more info with guests.

This is a great experience for newcomers and also native Puertorricans that never delved into the history of their island. It was very informational and wonderful to observe all the beauty of Old San Juan from the colorful structures to the panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean seen from the great walls surrounding the city.
Yan_M, May 2026
knowledgable and informative, effective, friendly and clear communication, helping tourists gain a comprehensive understanding of the old town's culture and history, recommend!
