10/10 recommend this activity if your are looking for something fun and exciting to do in San Juan! Mara the tour guide was phenomenal! She was considerate and stopped at some wonderful places along the tour. I would definitely do this again!

Overview

For an adventurous thrill in San Juan, take a private beach ride on a Can-Am UTV. You’ll just meet your instructor at the departure point, then transport is arranged to Pinones where you’ll start the ride. Know your safety is of the utmost importance. Local professionals will make sure you have an exciting, and safe, ride along the beaches of San Juan.

What's Included

It's a guided tour and each UTV seats up to 3 passengers.
Free admission to Pinones area and Vacia Talega beach.
The experience includes a designated driver who leads the tour.
The UTVs are not driven primarily by passengers, but one person will have the opportunity to drive.
Driver have to be 22+ and have a valid driver license.

A $50.00 fee for a liability insurance is required for each unit. (Applies at service)
The liability insurance only covers body injury. (Medical)
Transportation to our property.
Extended arrival time incurs an additional charge.

Itinerary

Meet your instructor in San Juan, and head to Pinones to begin your adventure aboard a Can-Am UTV. Spend some time getting familiar with Can-Am UTVs before heading out for your adventure. Cruise along the coast, listening to music as you take in the views.

Throughout the course of your adventure, you’ll check out the scene at Pinones, known for its stalls selling everything from fruit shakes to skewer and explore the sands at Vacia Talega Beach and visit some more secluded areas of shoreline in the area. Take a break at Paseo Tablado de Pinones where you can sip on mojitos or soft drinks or indulge in a snack before returning to your departure point.

Not worth it if you have a rental car already

No off-roading whatsoever . Just drove thru lots of traffic and stopped at tourist zones to take pictures and that’s pretty much it . The only cool thing was getting to drive it, for about 15 minutes What I didn’t appreciate either was being told “after prepaying “ online, about the $45 insurance fee that I had to pay… not cool . Other than that , Will never try this again and I don’t recommend it if you have a rental car already . The guy was great tho .

We booked our excursion through Viator who I have to say where absolutely brilliant. The buggy tour operator was late picking us up so I was anxious they weren’t coming and I could not get hold of them. However when I contacted Viator they were super helpful and were able to get in touch with the operator. While we were late starting our excursion we still had the full time if not more, and I must say our guide was so good he really made the experience worth while and we soon forgot about the poor experience at the start. It was one of the highlights of our holidays we enjoyed it so much and would def recommend.

Bad tour & horrible customer service

The driver was 1 1/2 hr late. He tried to say he was at the meeting spot and was not! When the manager called me, he said he was calling-which was yet another lie… because even the hotel said he got there late. But, they only contacted me after I asked for a refund , which they only did part of the tour and it was sloppy and disjointed. We only agreed to go because the manager said I wouldn’t get my money back! Then said he didn’t want to argue on the phone. So disrespectful and terrible customer service! Pick another tour.

We had a blast. We got to see the real Puerto Rico and enjoyed every minute of it. Our driver was very nice and a cutie! Would do it all over again. One thing I would suggest, wiping down your seats with disinfectant. I ended up with a horrible rash on the back of my legs from the seat. It started while we were riding but I was having so much fun I didn't say anything.

It is more a tour and less a drive. Still pretty fun and enjoyable. I dont know about the price for just 2 people. But we had fun. Even in the evening.. just make sure ro wear long pants at night and bug spray

This was my first time in Puerto Rico. Our Group tour guide Daniel was great , very accommodating & attentive. He took us around to several beaches we were able to get food , he even dropped us off at home . And was very polite about everything . I was confused a little by the fact that I thought everyone would be driving a utv when it’s actually all of you guys together in one car. I would highly recommend to tourist . The tour guides were awesome! Was not what we expected. Only for about 10 minutes, did not drive on beach. Also we were told that we could have multiple driver but was only allowed one per car. Plus description of booking was not what we received .

We loved this trip outside of San Juan. We stopped at a great and inexpensive lunch spot and had delicious empanadas. I just wish the beach to drive off road was more open. Otherwise, highly recommend this trip.

Very expensive lackluster experience

I would not recommend this outing. Almost an hour of the excursion was driving on the road to get to and from the beach area. We stopped at a few beach locations for 5-15 minutes and the only time driving on the "beach" were short paths on the side of the road. The music in our vehicle didn't work with no apology from our guide. Our guide was also a young kid who barely spoke two words to us. Overall a VERY expensive excursion for an extremely underwhelming experience. Spend your money elsewhere.

I'm be real about it, first they drive half way out of San Juan than you start to drive, Speed is set to 45mph. the ride is just average. than you have to spend additional $40 per person for insurance so the ride cost over $300 trust me you can do something else for this type of money. I wish someone review this type of experience.

An amazing way to experience La Isla del Encanto!

This was a fantastic private tour! On this tour, we saw parts of the island that we would've never seen before. An amazing way to experience La Isla del Encanto! The beach was beautiful, and we truly enjoyed taking in the sights. Stopping by a kiosk to grab a quick bite to eat was an excellent way to end the tour. Kudos to our tour guide, Jafet, who was great! He even returned our sneakers to us the next day after we left them in the Can-Am.
