It was great seeing the rainforest with it's mountains and waterfalls. Our guide Isaac was excellent. He is definitely a fantastic guide with his knowledge of El Yunque and would recommend him to anyone.

The half day tour to El Yunque Rainforest was just perfect. Ingrid was such a wonderful tour guide as she drove us out to the rainforest and throughout the tour explaining the history and culture of the area. The hike and visit to the river were amazing. Great experience!

The 1/2 day El Yunque Rainforest trip was well worth it - from seeing the incredibly beautiful panoramic views from the top of the tower in the mountains, experiencing the uniqueness of the rainforest up close including the waterfall, and finally to swimming in the refreshing river. Making it extra special was our guide, Isaac, who was full of knowledge and enthusiasm regarding the rainforest and surrouding area. A portion of the nature walk is uphill on a rugged path so Viator's information suggesting you should have a moderate physical fitness level is definitely true. I'd also recommend shoes with good traction. Finally, the communication from Viator and our guide Isaac was excellent before, during, and after the tour. Definitely recommended.

If you want to get in the water bring a towel. A little bit of walking not to much. An opportunity to buy food at the end.

Amazing experience! Isaac was very knowledgeable and fun! Be prepared to have some delicious traditional food as well!

Ingrid was a knowledgeable guide on the biodiversity of the Yunque rainforest. Being my first time in a jungle, I appreciated the insights she had in navigating through a mountainous tropical biome. Also, great lunch option.

There was more hiking than we originally thought. I thought our guide was joking when he talked about getting our "cardio" in during a portion of the tour. He was not ... and while we were prepared with the proper footwear (and I could use the exercise) there were some in our tour group that probably read the description as we did, and they would have picked a different experience.
Overall, the tour was great. Got to see some beautiful scenes, learn about the only rainforest in the National Park system, experience some local flavors and put our feet in the local waters.

We had a great time! Isaac, our tour guide was awesome- friendly, knowledgeable, and great energy! Both our 11 yo and 6 yo loved it, as did we! Highly recommend and would do it again!

The trip started with pickup at our hotel. We then went for a 40-50min hike, quite a way up the mountain but no advanced ability needed. After that we drove to the lookout tower and then a river where we could go in the water if we wanted to. It was overall fun and we learned a lot on the hike.

What a wonderful time! Isaac was a wonderful guide. The excursion was exactly as advertised. Isaac answered our questions but also wasn't afraid to look things up if asked a question he didn't know the answer to. The pace was great. The lunch stop was excellent with Isaac jumping in to help the people serve the food. We greatly enjoyed our time and would highly recommend this tour to anyone!!!

Wear sturdy shoes
Great time
Our guide was amazing. Issac told us alot about the area and what we were seeing. He even educated us on some of the insect species.

Best excursion guide I've ever had in the Caribbean. Ingrid was beyond excellent in knowledge, care and service. She adapted wisely to a couple different traffic difficulties. The itinerary was fine, nothing exceptional. It included a lunch stop at a friend hello Puerto Rican food roadside grill. Cost cost was amazing bargain.

Nice to see waterfall and view. Hike nice but not as educational as I had hoped. I thought would be more about plants. However our tour guide showed us plant and animal pictures ahead of time on ride. Water cold but many fish.

This five hour van trip was the perfect tour of El Yunque if are in Puerto Rico for a short visit. Ingrid our tour guide checked in with by text us prior to the tour to ensure our pickup spot in Condado, a short walk from our hotel. After a prompt pickup in a clean an efficient van, Ingrid provided a great introduction to the PR landscape and culture during the less than one hour ride to the National Forest. With five varied stops in the Forest, as described in Overview, the tour provided insight to the Rain Forest and the history of the property. It was great to climb the tower (only 96 easy steps) and swim in the river! Ingrid was a generous and intrepid tour guide and van driver. I highly recommend this tour.
Sue_B, Feb 2026
The guide was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about Puerto Rican history and the rainforest. The trip was just the right length of time - enough to hike a little in the rainforest, take a swim, and enjoy a fun lunch.

We had a great time! Ingrid was so friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about San Juan and the rain forest. It was a perfect amount of time and great views!

What an incredible tour. Ingrid was an amazing guide with so much knowledge of the rainforest/wildlife. She was also super attentive to every person in attendance and their needs/abilities (it is somewhat physical but there was also an 81 year woman old on our trip who did amazing on the hike) We ended up seeing even *more* than what was listed (it says just a drive by of the waterfall but we were given a moment to actually get out and see it up close which was such a nice surprise, idk if that’s common on every tour, I wouldn’t fully expect it but it really was special she went out of her way to do that.) The lunch spot she took us to was also soooo good/very authentic roadside food stand with truly the best food I had the entire trip. My only complaint would be that on the way to the Forrest Ingrid was speaking during the ride and explaining a lot of the history/info about the area and Forrest but unfortunately my partner and I couldn’t really hear any of
It because we were seated in the very back of the sprinter van. So if you want to hear, def sit in the first two rows of the car, but I would also push them to get a sound system/head set maybe. Anyway, great tour, would also recommend for people who prefer small groups (we saw some of the larger/groups of 30+ people and it looked so unpleasant). Spend some extra money and get a truly personal/special experience.

The best part of the whole trip was our guide, Isaac. He was amazing. Polite, professional, knowledgeable, funny and engaging. Learned so much from him not only about El Yunque National Forest but also about Puerto Rico in general. If we ever get to visit Puerto Rico again, we would definitely want Isaac as our guide. Thank you Isaac!

The tour was well designed to provide a good experience in the rain forest. Our guide Isaac was fabulous. He was so personable and knowledgeable about the environment and shared so effortlessly. He assured that each member of our diverse group had a good experience. He kept us on schedule without feeling rushed.

Ingrid was very knowledgeable about the area’s history, plants culture. She was engaging and friendly.
Arthur_S, Feb 2026
Ingrid was wonderful, full of knowledge and information, making sure we were comfortable at all times, friendly and answered any questions we had. Visit to the rainforest, tower, falls, river were awesome. Very authentic lunch was a perfect end to a wonderful day!
Lee_W, Feb 2026
Isaac was a ton of fun. Nice half day activity, great tour of the rainforest. Plenty of time to see and take everything in.
Chelsee_M, Feb 2026
Tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The small hike was low impact through the forrest. The food after was delicious.

This was an amazing day at El Yunque! Ingrid, our guide, picked my friend an I up in a very nice mini-bus and we went on to the next stop to pick up a group of 11 parents and children, who turned out to be very congenial. It was a packed day and included a stop at a beautiful waterfall, a gorgeous hike that took about 40 min. through the rainforest, a stop at a tower with magnificent views, and a swim in a lovely river. After all of that, we stopped for lunch at a roadside eatery, where local food was cooked over an open fire. The best part of our trip, however, was Ingrid. She attended to all of with friendliness and so much knowledge of the miraculous life in the El Yunque. Her enthusiasm for everything she showed us was contagious! I have been on many tours in many parts of the world and I have to say that Ingrid is without a doubt one of the best guides I have ever toured with. I highly recommend this trip for anyone who wants to see and learn about this exquisite rainforest. The one caveat I would give is that if you are looking for a major hike, sliding down waterfalls and jumping off cliffs, this may not be for you.
