While our guide was excellent, most of the food was not! The worst pizza I have tried and the meatballs were cold!

We did this food tour as part of our day off the cruise ship. The food was not great. The meatballs had no taste/flavor, the pizza was doughy. The best part was the desert. It could’ve been so much better if we didn’t circle the same block 2 times. Did not feel that we got the experience we should’ve had seeing the neighborhood since we stayed basically on the same street the entire time.

Regarding the itinerary, the tour is designed to focus on one of the most traditional food areas of Naples, where many historic and local food spots are located close to each other. For this reason, the route may remain within the same neighborhood rather than covering a wider part of the city.

This tour was my favorite of my trip particularly because of the food but also the tour guides you through the streets and you’re stopping and learning about the different aspects of Naples. For me the street food was amazing especially the seafood and the guides provide great insight into why the food in Naples is so unique. Ending with dessert is also great idea.

We stopped at 6 places for tastings. Nothing was prearranged nor prepared. When we arrived at each place, the tour operator would stand in line and order. I would guess half of our time, about an hour was just waiting.

Miri is an excellent guide. Unfortunately the food tastings were disappointing. Most were smaller than bite size and had to be eaten standing outside in the crowd. The one good sized portion was a meatball but it was cold and hard. No pizza. 90 minutes total. Recommend trying a different company or tour.

Our street food tour includes 6 tasting stops:
meatballs, taralli, fried snacks, fried fish, cold cuts and cheeses, and gelato, spritz, and limoncello.
This is why the portions are not large.
However, it is definitely the Naples food tour with the most food included, and we also hold a Certificate of Excellence.

Miri was a great guide, friendly, engaging and informative. Even though it was only two of us (my wife and I) the tour was not cancelled. The weather was rainy but we didn't allow it to us including Miri. She gave us a very nice overview of various street foods of Naples and tasted many foods. We highly recommend the tour and Miri.

This was a wonderful food tour, but it was more than just food. We learned a lot about Napoli history and culture through food. All of the places we went were close by, and we saw lots of markets, delis, and other shops. Highly recommended!

We booked this tour the night before. So maybe it wasn’t enough notice. But they accepted our booking and money. The tour was awful. First, no guide showed up. Then a guide came and said she wasn’t for us. After 20 min and a call from her office, Roberta did end up doing the tour. But she didn’t seem prepared. We went to 6 places. All but the last place—gelato—were within one block of each other. We went to one place twice! Three of the four of us had in advance asked for vegetarian; the options they gave us were terrible. The regular food was just ok. Know that the “pizza” they gave us was awful—cold, thick, chewy, hardly any sauce. And pizza was invented in Naples!! Roberta had very little to say about the foods. Mostly how she remembered eating each item growing up. The two hour tour ended after 1-1/2 hours. We have taken many food tours all over the world and this was by far the worst!

Regarding the delay, this was due to an unexpected family emergency of the guide originally assigned to your tour. Roberta, who eventually led the experience, was informed at very short notice, and this adjustment was made to avoid having to cancel your tour altogether.
As for the stops being close to one another, this was a deliberate choice to highlight the street food culture and the authenticity of the Pignasecca market, which we believe is the true heart of the tour, offering an experience different from more tourist-oriented areas.
Concerning the gelato, unfortunately on that specific day the gelateria closed without informing us in advance. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and understand how it may have impacted your overall impression.
We truly value your comments as they help us improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again for an even better experience in the future.

Such a fun way to experience Naples! La Pignasecca market was buzzing with locals and the food was unreal. From the crunchy taralli to fried seafood and the sweetest babà. I loved hearing all the little stories behind each dish too. Our guide was so easygoing and made the whole thing feel super relaxed. If you’re a foodie, this tour is basically a dream. I left stuffed and so happy!

I have watched Gordon Ramsey and other Food Network shows, and have always wanted to do a Street Food tour in Italy! Our tour guide was Sara and it was fantastic!! She was patient and very knowledgeable! Sara had the shops lined us for us. Because spaces are small and tight, Sara goes into the shops, brings us the food, and we sample the items. We enjoyed this tour that highlights the staple foods of Naples, Italy! The tour was only 2 hours, which was perfect for us! It was fabulous!
