We only had a day spare to see Venice and luckily we were shown around by Barbera who made the trip from Milan to Venice go quite quickly with her interesting and engaging commentry.
We saw and experienced everything we wanted to see including a Venetian glass blowing demo(after which we bought a vase) and a gondola ride together. There were obviously the crowds we expected but all in all it was a wonderful day

Visiting Venice was a great experience overall. The city is beautiful and it's definitely a place everyone should try to visit at least once. The tour guides, especially the local one, were very knowledgeable. Only four stars instead of five because we were not told the gondola ride woild be shared with other people. My partner and I were hoping for a private gondola, but it didn't happen. If you want a private gondola for you and your significant other, make the arrangements yourself instead of doing it through the tour. Otherwise, great tour to a beautiful place.

Tour guide walked too fast and left prople behind. The gondola ride was terrible! Just s boring ride with no commentary from bored gondola drivers. Young kids driving gondolas with no care or interest in customer satisfaction-none. Won’t return to Venice.

We are sorry to read your review; however, we find it necessary to clarify the sequence of events to ensure fairness toward our staff.
The fast pace set by the guide on the way to the boarding point was dictated solely by YOUR late arrival at the meeting point. Despite the scheduled time having passed, the guide chose to wait for you so you wouldn't miss the excursion and be left behind in Venice—a courtesy that necessitated a brisk walk to ensure the rest of the group didn't miss the boat. We can confirm that no passengers were left behind.
Regarding the gondola ride, please be aware that, by tradition and regulation, no commentary is provided by the gondolier. All Venetian gondoliers are highly qualified professionals; their age does not impact their technical skill, which is the result of rigorous selection and training.
We find your comments to be misplaced, particularly regarding a guide who prioritized your inclusion in the tour despite your lack of punctuality.

Really great trip with plenty of free time. Didi was a fantastic tour guide. We had two little children and she made sure they had a great time as well, which was great to see. Small group which allowed for all of us to interact with Didi who was extremely knowledgeable. It was great that this company partnered up with a local to the area as it allowed it was extremely helpful to hear Venice from a locals perspective.

Wonderful day trip. We had two guides - Barbara from Milan who was with us throughout the trip, and a local guide Barbara in Venice. They were both exceptionally knowledgeable. Made the best of our time in Venice, which is a must see. Because it was a private tour, the ride was luxurious and extremely comfortable. Definitely recommend.

Our tour guide was upbeat full of information and entertaining. Wish I could remember her name. Would recommend to anyone. It was a long day but we saw alot. Plenty of time to ride the gondola, eat lunch and wander around.

While the tour description stated that it was for 13 hours, for myself and traveling companions (over age 70) it was long and tiring.
Venice was just like all the pictures you have seen over the years.
We went in October on a beautiful day, and the city was very crowded. Travel time each direction including boat to city and rest stops were 4 hours each way.

When we first thought about going to Venice from Milan, we weren’t sure whether a day trip would be enough. Venice always seemed like the kind of place you should stay overnight, wander at your own pace, and see under the stars. But at the same time, staying there would have meant dragging luggage through tiny streets and spending a small fortune on a hotel. In the end, we decided to go with a guided day tour—and honestly, it turned out to be one of the best decisions of our whole trip to Italy.
The simple version is this: we had a fantastic day out, saw Venice in a way that felt relaxed but still complete, and were guided by Barbara, who really made the difference. She’d been recommended in reviews, and those reviews turned out to be spot on. Barbara and her colleague in Venice were brilliant—funny, organised, and genuinely passionate about what they do. By the time we got back to Milan that night, we felt like we’d had a proper taste of Venice without the stress of planning it ourselves.

Our Tour Guide did the best she could. She was very plesant and informative, however, our departure time was delayed 2 hours and 40 minutes. It was not her fault, there was some issue with drivers. Once in Venice you had the option for a guided tour or free time. When we departed there was another issue with drivers and needing to swap drivers because of the amount of hours worked. We arrived back home late of course. I just wish there was more to do once in Venice.

Our tour guide from TaoTravel was awesome! We went on a comfortable & clean bus ride for about 3 1/2 hours each way. The bus stops after about an hour for bathroom/coffee breaks. We had some free time after connecting with another tour guide in Venice. We enjoyed a lovely lunch at Ristorante San Silvestro. We sat outside. We asked for a gondola ride and our tour guide helped us to secure a space for after our free time but before the final meeting time. She collected the money & paid the owner of the gondola ride. The quiet gondola ride around the canal cost $125. Overall Venice was beautiful and there is lots to explore & see including shopping if that’s one of your interests. Wish we had more time there but it was definitely worth the day trip!

The itinerary was well organized. Our tour guide Ornella was friendly and attentive. She did a very nice job explaining the history and cultural heritage of Venice and the nearby region. She also gave useful travel tips. The coach driver did a superb job as well! It's a fantastic experience overall.

Venice is a beautiful city with lots to do.
We enjoyed a pizza and cocktails while sitting in San Marco square.
Great shopping. We watched a glass blowing demonstration. We skipped the gondola ride but enjoyed watching them from many bridges.

If you don't have time to stay in Venice then this is a great, but quick introduction to it that ticks the highlights.
The coach journey there is 3hrs, a half hour break on top at services. When you get off the coach it's a 10 minute walk to the boat, this takes 20 minutes - only then does your tour start. We met a local guide who gave us a tour for an hour - she seemed oblivious to the 40 degrees heat even though the group kept trying to find shade and spent prolonged periods in the blistering sun. She was however full of information about Venice and extremely enthusiastic - unfortunately like the guide we had for the day. I'm jealous when I read other reviews for this tour where people say their guide was full of information on the coach. Ours spent her way there chatting to the driver, then fell asleep on the way back. Offered no suggestions for the day, no information on Venice, absolutely nothing.
Is it worth it? I'm still undecided. I'm glad I got to see Venice but you spend more time travelling on a coach than you do in Venice, my experience wasn't helped by our guide unfortunately. Worth noting just before we got back to Venice she did her rounds on the coach asking us to scan her QR code to leave her a review, looks like I'm the only one so far which speaks volumes!

All other participants found the meeting point with ease, arrived on time, and joined the tour regularly. We even waited beyond the scheduled departure time, but you did not show up.
Given these facts, we find your review unfair, as the responsibility was not on our side.

The tour to Venice was incredibly well organized from start to finish. Every detail, from transportation to guided tours, was handled seamlessly, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the experience. The itinerary was perfectly paced, balancing iconic sights like St. Mark’s Basilica and the Grand Canal with free time to explore. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the city’s rich history come alive. We especially loved the gondola ride, it was magical! Overall, the trip exceeded our expectations and created unforgettable memories. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience the beauty and charm of Venice.

Really good day out - it’s quite a long way but the bus is comfortable and there was a quick stop halfway. Good tour, just about enough time to have a look round yourself after the tour. But it’s a big city! We realised once we were there that you need a couple of days at least to see the all of the best bits! Ornella ne Ricardo were great. Highly recommended ❤️
