Your tour begins on Piazza del Duomo, in front of Mondadori. Here, you’ll greet your guide and immediately launch into a historical overview of the Duomo, the third-largest Catholic church in the world.
Begin by admiring the Duomo’s grandiose Gothic façade, replete with gargoyles, elaborate carvings, and statues, and then, with your skip-the-line ticket in hand, you’ll bypass lines and head straight to Duomo’s elevator for the short ride to the summit of Italy’s biggest cathedral. At the top, you’ll be mesmerized by panoramic views of Milan and gain an alternative perspective of the 3,400 statues that decorate Duomo’s façade.
If you’re feeling brave enough, ascend 50 steps to the cathedral’s highest point for the ultimate view of Milan’s skyline and see the golden statue of the Virgin Mary.
Your tour concludes at the exit of Duomo.

- Due to increased security measures at the Duomo some lines may form. Additionally, strict rules apply to enter the visit the Rooftop (no knives, no scissors, no glass bottles, etc.)
- The elevator has a maximum capacity of 7 people
- The monumental complex might close the elevator used to descend for security reasons; in this event, the descent will be done by stairs
- Please note that you will have to climb nearly 50 steps to reach the highest level on the roof
- DRESS CODE: Please note that appropriate clothing is required to enter religious sites. Shoulders and knees must be covered. Off-the-shoulder or low-cut tops, shorts, miniskirts, and hats are not permitted inside the Cathedral.

Visiting the Duomo rooftop was one of my favorite Milan experiences. The spires up close are absolutely breathtaking, the panoramic views stretch across the entire city, and the history behind every detail feels magical. Really fave you the “behind scenes” feel. Our local guide was amazing and brought the stories of the cathedral to life. A must-do when visiting Milan!

If you get a chance this tour is a must. There is an elevator that goes up and stairs are not to bad 170 down. View from the rooftop was spectacular. With 23 tours on our trip this is definitely in the top 5.

Make sure you have clothes that cover your knees and shoulders to enter the basilica. The sites were beautiful

Our tour guide was funny and it was nice to be able to walk through the cathedral, although this isn’t part of the tour, but I was able to take a few photographs. My recommendation is to have the sign pictured In the email. We don’t a few minutes looking for the tour guide with the sign explained in the email and it was difficult to find because instructions were different in the email

Highly recommend, we only did the roof top tour but you can the cathedral tour as well. Our guide was fun and knowledgeable, she made the tour even better (I think her name was Keira but I can’t remember for sure).

We had Fabrizzio for a tour guide and he was great. Very knowledgeable and good sense of humor. The meeting spot is not right at the cathedral so start looking before you reach it. :) This exact ticket DOES NOT include unlimited access to the cathedral BUT you walk through the back of the cathedral to leave and for us, this was okay. Consider bringing binoculars, you get to see a very unique side of this church and it is gorgeous.

There is a lot of stair climbing. also there are lots of other people on the roof. The guide spoke very quietly. Even though he had good English skills it was hard to understand him.

Our tour guide never showed up at the written meeting point. We tried contacting them through the app, but no response. I recommend that you make your own reservation online directly through the Duomo website. We were unable to rebook via other options during our 2-day stay because it was sold out. Very disappointed.

Tour was led by a very personable guide. She was informative and very helpful as I have a mobility issue, awaiting an operation on my knee. The information on the tour said there would be access to a lift but didn’t mention the extra 90+ stairs to access the higher area and the 180+ stairs to come down. Our lovely guide sorted out the lift for me though.
Once there, the views were stunning and worth taking the tour.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t enter the cathedral as a service was taking place!!

Not worth a guided experience in my opinion. Very minimal information from the guide. You can buy the skip-the-line tickets from the website and learn about as much from the sign boards on the terraces. Duomo terraces are definitely worth a visit!

It was a larger group that it should have been. A few people monopolized the guide with questions and the rest of us were on our own. Would have preferred a smaller group or a private guide would have been more engaging.

It was the perfect length for our short stay in Milan. We got access to the roof and learned about the history in less than one hour. The guide was very knowledgeable. There are a lot of steps but it is worth it!

There is a bit of stair climbing both up and down. There is also a bit of scaffolding which obscures the view.

This was a wonderful tour with a fantastic guide. Jada was fun, knowledgeable and super helpful. She was very considerate of those who may not have been able to do the stairs (around 45) and gave everyone the confidence to make their own decision. The tour organisers were excellent. We had only booked the outside and rooftop tour and not the inside, which we didn’t realise. This was no problem. One phone call and our guides had organised the extra payment and got us in. They even held on to my daughter’s coat for her while we went to the rooftop on a warmer day than expected. Couldn’t ask for more.
