Cathedral's Dress Code and Conduct: Entry is not permitted to visitors wearing inappropriate clothing. Silence is required inside the Cathedral.
Food and Drinks: Consumption of food and beverages inside the Cathedral is prohibited.
Terraces: Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Strollers and prams are allowed only if folded, as the route includes narrow staircases.
The elevator covers part of the ascent, but you will need to climb approximately 75 steps to reach the top of the Cathedral, and the same number to come back down at the end of the tour.
During warmer days, we suggest wearing a hat, using sunscreen, and carrying a bottle of water to remain protected from the sun and properly hydrated throughout the tour.

Great Semi Private Tour. Stephen met me at the Fountain and gave me a full history of all the exciting things about Milan. As we walked through multiple spaces in the city , he had something to tell me about everything. Once we got to the church we got to skip the VERY long line and gained access to the rooftop quickly. I was impressed by that. Stephen was super accommodating to how we were doing and continued to check in with us over the entire tour . Would absolutely do it again!

The best walking tour

My husband and I have been traveling around the Mediterranean coast for the past three weeks and have joined more than ten guided tours along the way. Our walking tour in Milan with Stefano from Abroads Tours was by far the best experience. We accidentally went to the wrong meeting point in the morning, but Stefano was incredibly kind and patient with us. To our surprise, he even turned the experience into a private tour for just the two of us. Stefano is clearly passionate about Milan and deeply knowledgeable about both the city and Italy’s history and culture. His communication skills are excellent, and he made every part of the tour engaging and enjoyable. The highlight was visiting the rooftop of the Duomo. The panoramic views over Milan were spectacular, and Stefano’s explanations of the cathedral’s architecture and history made the experience truly unforgettable. The tour was extremely well organized, with the perfect balance of history, storytelling, and breathtaking scenery. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Milan.

The five of us had a very good, walking, personal tour with Stefano of Abroads Tours in Milan. We saw the highlights and learned a lot about: the history of Milan, Sforza Castle, La Brera neighborhood and its Fine Arts Academy, Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle, La Scala and we went inside and on top of the roof of The Duomo. Stefano was personable, interesting, fun and answered all of our random questions on the tour. He calibrated the pace of the tour based upon our interest. The tour lasted approx 3 hrs 15 minutes and he gave us good recommendations for resturants to try while in Milan. I would highly recommend Stefano and Abroads Tours!

Best Tour Ever!

It was the best tour we have ever done (there have been a lot). Stefano was so knowledgeable, patient, kind, and tailored the tour to what we wanted to see. The rooftop at Duoma was wonderful, but it was the small details like seeing the college of the arts that made this tour so much fun. We can’t wait to book more tours with him.
