Wasn’t guided the entire time. Just inside the duomo. Also the ticket to the roof access is timed and you don’t choose the time.

I booked the tour for 10am. When i choosed the options, i have not choosen museum but at the end it seems all was included (not clear when booking). On the day, guy appeard with ticket for Duomo+Museum, saying the guide would be there at 11am.
It ended up i did the duomo tour without the guide tour.

Great tour and explanation inside the Duomo and very interesting visiting the rooftop. Note it was probably at least 125-150 steps to walk up to the rooftop

The cathedral is amazing and the tour of the roof tops was worth every penny. However the tour guide was an hour late, he contacted us by what's app after we contacted the office asking where our guide was. He sent our tickets and asked us to walk round the museum first and he would meet us later. His guided tour of the Duomo lasted 36 minutes.... if I'm honest I'm not to sure paying for a guide was really worth it. This is the first time we have felt let down with a viator booking.

Tour guide took us through the history and the important things to look for. He walked and talked for half an hour. Then we have our own time to navigate through the catheral and the rooftop.

The guided tour was only in the cathedral and there were many paintings put up that were not explained to us. Overall, there was not much explanation given about the significance of the sculptures and why there were so many of them. Guided tour was only 15-20min. The rest of the time was spent on our own visiting the museum and the Rooftop.

The tour started 30 minutes late. The tour guide was rude and cold. He didn’t give us a chance to ask questions before or during the tour. When I did ask him a question he told me he would explain everything was the tour started….i got there on time so he wouldn’t answer a question until he started 30 mins later and then explained nothing. Not worth having a guide chat gpt could’ve given me a more immersive experience

Our tour guide was very informative and share so many interesting facts. He made sure all the tour group stayed together and helped w pics where he felt were the best area to take them. I enjoyed the tour. good Job

We arrived at 1355 hours, in advanced of the 1415 start.
After numerous other guides arrives, ours still was no-show. We tried calling the contact centre but nobody picked up.
After messaging the guide back on the app, someone magically turned up to say our names were not communicated to another group who were tasked to manage us.
In the end, the tour started at 1445, which was super behind schedule.
As a result of the late start, we couldn’t see much in the duomo service area as evening mass was about to start, which felt like a rip off.
The guide was decent and I felt the experience could have been more decent had they identified us from the start and had the tour start on time.

Very difficult to find the people at the meeting point or even the meeting point, no signage whatsoever and nobody standing anywhere we had to ask 10 people around it until we found this person

I can’t take the tour they never answer me. My tour was at 12:00, at 12:02 I wrote them because they no one in the meeting ponit and the never respond. Then they wrote me at 2:00 and they said they tray to call me I don’t have my calls available but they never asnwer my message, I asked for my refund at Viator and that’s the moment when they contact me yes by message the same way that I wrote them at my tour time.

Our team is always positioned at the meeting point with a visible sign and our stand, making it impossible to miss.
Furthermore, the meeting time was at 11:50 AM, as clearly stated in your booking confirmation, not 12:00. Arriving 10 minutes before the start time is essential to ensure a smooth check-in process and distribution of headsets.
When you did not show up at the meeting point at the scheduled time, we immediately called the phone number provided in your booking twice. We also shared with you and with Viator the screenshot of our call attempts to demonstrate our efforts to reach you.

The tour guide was professional and informative and very nice. The tour says it starts at 11:00 AM. When you arrive they tell you to go to the museum and the tour would start at 11:30 AM. The tour guide gave us a 45 minute tour. She was quite helpful. Then we were told to climb to the rooftop on our own. I totally understand that, but given the amount of time with a tour guide, it really was expensive. The Duomo and rooftop were breathtaking and the museum too.

Don’t book Duomo through Viator. My tour guide never showed up and when I presented my ticket to the gate so I could at least go into on my own (I gave up on the official tour), the Duomo 3 agents I spoke to said “you booked through an agency and we don’t accept those tickets. You would need to purchase directly from us” . I was texting the “operator” and they responded with “did you find your guide” which tells me it’s AI responses. I am now out over $100 dollars. Don’t book this tour through Viator

We have done many experiences with Viator, but this one was an anomaly. We scheduled months ahead of time a tour of the Duomo in Milan. A couple of weeks before our tour we received an email saying it was changed from 15:00 to 14:00. No problem. BUT the day of the tour, we received a phone call at 12:47 saying we had to get there right away and arrive by 13:15. We had just landed in Italy and could not make that. Over the next hour, we received several frantic calls saying we were late and that “the group was waiting for us.” When we finally took a taxi to get there more quickly (arriving at 13:45), we were whisked up to the group and quickly bustled into the Cathedral. As we entered, the tour group leader pointed out in front of the group that we were late (we let her know we were actually scheduled for 14:00 and were early). She was very nice but seemed baffled by this. We discovered we had missed a good part of the tour already. The lovely tour guide’s English was not as good as it should be, impacting the quality of the tour. The Cathedral windows were referred to as “stainy glasses,” for example. We also had listening equipment that did not work (this was eventually rectified, but not before we had missed out on much info). Over all we were mystified as to how we ended up on the tail end of another group’s tour when we had paid full price for a complete tour later. The only redeeming part of the tour was skipping the line and going to the rooftop, but we could have done that without the guided tour.

We also regret that you missed a portion of the tour and that the listening equipment initially did not function properly. Although the issue was resolved during the experience, we understand how important it is to enjoy the full tour from start to finish without disruption. This was our first experience with Viator in Milan.
Unfortunately, when we arrived at the meeting location we as well as another couple waited for our guide and they never showed .
We did get a tour with another person however they were not the name that showed on our event vouchers. The Conordinator got us added to the group .
Our guide was great ! Very knowledgeable and also fun to talk to.
She even offered post tour suggestions !

There was some sort of mix up between the tour operator handling us. We were eventually accommodated with the right tour guide, The museum was very informative before the start of the duomo tour. You get to appreciate the DUOMO. Rooftop experience was a breeze although there are a lot of people. Rainy weather also slowed down the movement of the people. Scaffoldings were on certain parts as restoration ongoing.

The guide was extremely lacklustre and did nothing to keep us engaged. I dont think he even knew how many people were in his group. The entire tour was haphazard. Also, the location to meet was incorrect and chaotic.

Monumental and beautiful inside, especially the stained glass windows and double organs. Our guided tour was somewhat quick, but the guide did hang around at the end to answer some questions. We took the elevator at least 2/3 of the way up to the roof (was well worth it as there were still 90+ more steps to the top!). Unfortunately, most of one side and part of the other side of the cathedral were covered in scaffolding and clothe (simulating what the cathedral would look like if the scaffolding wasn't there for those looking up from down below on the plaza). This occluded what would have otherwise been an impressive view. Had we known beforehand, we might have saved money and much effort associated with the rooftop visit. Be sure and check recent TOURIST photos to see if the cathedral is still under renovation!

The guide Marino was very informative and we enjoyed the Duomo tour, but we paid for a tour with group of 6, and there were 30 people on our tour. I’ve booked many Viator tours in past years and this is the first time this has happened. I believe Viator should adjust the price.

The cathedral itself is gorgeous. The tour started almost 30 minutes late and the folks appeared a bit disorganized. They were rushing to buy last minute tickets for tourists, so seemed like they had not planned it well. The guide was good and had much to share.

Seeing the beautiful Duomo. Unfortunately, the group was so large that it was unmanageable. The guide was frequently on his cell phone which we could hear through the ear pieces. The tour did not last as long as advertised. I have taken many tours with Viator- this was the worst

While the Duomo Cathedral itself provides an amazing experience, the tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and made the tour even more powerful. The opportunity to also visit the museum enhanced the experience. The staff were incredibly helpful.

Don’t waste your money
