Your guide will meet you at your hotel to begin the visit (please wait for your guide in your hotel lobby). They will arrive a few minutes before the scheduled time. The journey from your hotel to the museum will be by taxi and is included within the total duration of the tour (included in the 4 hours). The transfer will be made by taxi, and the cost is included in the visit. For any questions regarding your pick-up, please feel free to contact us. Please note: the transfer will be carried out using a regular Madrid city taxi; this visit does not include a private chauffeur service. Madrid is a capital city with traffic, so we apologize in advance for any potential delays due to congestion. If your hotel is close to one of the museums, the journey will be done on foot, as taking a taxi for very short distances is unnecessary and may waste time. If you have any mobility issues, please let us know in advance.

Our guide Sofia was wonderful, very nice and very knowledgeable. It was a good way to start our Madrid experience. We learned a lot during these two hours and then could explore some more on our own. At the end we went to the Botanical garden which was right next door and is a very pleasant and quiet place.

Sophia was a superior guide. We had time for a short visit to the Prado Museum and she guided us expertly to view a good number of masterpieces. It was a fantastic tour! Sophia did a great job explaining the paintings and connecting them and the artists from a historical aspect. I am a novice at art - and she was great for me, however she would also be fantastic for someone that knows art. She can tailor her tour to either. I learned so much and it was an incredible tour.

A truly amazing tour of the Prado museum, we can’t say enough good things about our tour guide Yanny. He was as much of a highlight as the beautiful works of Art he helped us experience while in Madrid.
With limited art knowledge we wanted a guide to enhance our tour, what an absolute treat to spend the afternoon with Yanny. His passion and knowledge of the museum was clear from the start, and with his help we were able to learn and experience many of the amazing works in the Prado.
We have done many guided tours, and we can say this may have been one of the very best because of Yanny.

We had a two hour private tour with Javier. We met and since I had previously had a private tour of the Prado about 15 years ago, I knew I wanted something different from a "highlights of the Prado" type tour. Instead I wanted a tour emphasizing the links between key pieces in the collection as a reflection of then current events/politics in the region of Spain. This required Javier to pivot somewhat from his standard tour, and he did so not only seamlessly but it was beyond all expectations. He is a historian with a deep knowledge and appreciation of Spanish art, so he was perfect for us. This special private tour stands out as a highlight of our time in Madrid.

The tour was very good. Our guide Olaya was full of knowledge and stories about the history of the palace. She had a lot of knowledge about all the rooms and included a little bit of her own commentary which made it feel more personal. Also, she had fun ways to remember all the monarchs too.

Olivia, our guide, is very knowledgeable about the works in the museum and the history of the works. She is very pleasant and patient. Her English is not as good as her art knowledge. That, combined with the tour only lasting 2 1/2 hours rather than 3, is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. She really did bring the art to life, but unfortunately we could not understand all of what she said. Lovely person.

My husband and I both ended up with a major man crush on José. This was quite possibly our best and favorite museum private tour to-date and we have been on quite a few. The selection at The Prado is massive and you could spend several days looking at everything.
José took us to the most iconic and significant pieces that outlined the history of Spain and the influence of art on its culture. After two hours we were completely spent and was thankful he was able to jam so much information within that time. He later confessed he had been a tour guide for over eight years. It showed. Fantastic tour and we didn’t need to see more.
You have the option of sticking around and viewing more great art afterwards. We needed coffee. Don’t miss this if you need a quick tour of The Prado!
