Wonderful experience, highly recommend!
The venue was small and intimate. Food was good and portions were large. Drinks also good and reasonably priced.
Definitely recommend coming for the workshop before the show as it was a fun intro to Flamenco.
The Flamenco show was great too! Our six year old had a great time and was attentive throughout the entire show.
Only very minor issue was a mix up on what the Viator voucher said was included. This mix up was resolved quickly and wasn’t a problem at all.

Skip this. There was barely any food. They do not take into account any dietary restrictions although they say they do. It was far from the city center. The show was ok the performers gave their all but it was not worth the uber ride. It lasted 90min in total. Not at all worth the price.

I am so sorry your experience was not as expected. The menu comprises Iberian cold cuts, home-made tortilla española, grilled calamar, olives and fresh bread. We do offer alternatives, if people ask for them. I will take this up with the staff. I would however just like to point out that we are only 15 mins on a direct metro line from the city centre.

This place is way out in the suburbs!!! If you are staying any where central, it is far! The people were friendly, the food, is subpar, the entertainment so so. The three of us do not recommend!

Loved the flamenco show. Lovely dancers. Most enjoyable. Just missed the dancers using castanets. Also was hoping we would get the soup as advertised but the food was good.

We loved this show! The singing and dancing were amazing! The food was just okay and there was a bit of a language barrier between us and the waiter. Some confusion as to what we could order; it seemed as though there was a different menu for folks on a tour. Notwithstanding, we had a wonderful time!

I would highly recommend anyone visiting Madrid to partake in the Flamenco Show, Dinner and Workshop at Taberna Flamenca El Cortijo. Tired from a day of sightseeing, we declined to participate in the workshop part, so I cannot comment on it but I'm sure it would have been great based on everything else. The tickets included the show as well as an appetizer, entree, and a drink per person...so there was no extra or hidden charges at the end. We both started with the plate of Ibéricos (a delicious selection of local charcuterie). My husband had the Calamari and I had the Tortillia Española-- both were delicious. The real draw, though, is the show, which is by itself worth the full price of the ticket. We saw a group of 4 Flamenco performers (including two from Sevillia). All were supremely talented. The guitarist was epic, flawless really. The vocalist was an 18-year old (could not believe the pipes, control, and dexterity this kid had)! Both dancers were extremely talented not only musically but as storytellers... moving at times with the lightness of a butterfly and at other times-- the zapateado felt and sounded like a pack of 10 horses galloping. So exciting! There were two sets with a short break in between (#costumechange). This place is outside of the center of Madrid, but not by much. It was extremely fast, safe, and inexpensive to take an Uber to and from the venue from our hotel in the Center (The Westin Palace). Highly recommend!!!

Thank you so much for your review. We are so glad you enjoyed your experience. Yes, our venue is just outside the tourist circuit (10 mins on direct metro line) but that is what keeps us authentic. The neighbourhood is residential where a large part of Madrileños live. Working class but very safe- I have lived very happily here for 24 years. You are more likely to lose your purse in the centre of the city.

Had a wonderful time. Thoroughly enjoyed the performance. The dancers were brilliant. The singer's voice was amazing and the guitarist was a pleasure to hear. Regarding the food, there aren't much options for vegetarians. Spanish omelette was good.
Would suggest this people who visit Madrid.

WE were there at the place at 7 45 Pm because the ticket indicated that the dinner-show was at 8 Pm.
There was no body at the white front door. We knocked the door several times and no body answered.
We felt like we were ripped off and a waste of our time .

Great way to experience Flamenco. Melody was awesome explaining the art behind the dance. Without the workshop before the show, we would have been totally lost and likely left early. Highly recommend. Close to METRO.

This was such an amazing experience. It was intimate and beautifully done. Highly recommend. The dancers came up to the tables and greeted us and were very friendly. The food was great and was of perfect proportion.

My flamenco experience was awesome! If your looking for a authentic, intimate show, I highly recommend! I had read reviews about the food portions being small, but I believe they must of changed things because i recieved a appetizer and main! Lots of food!

The Flamenco show was great. Very entertaining. The food was a let down. There was a fish or beef option, however I am vegetarian. They served me carrot & cucumber sticks with hummus as my main. While tasty, it was not filling.
We paid for the additional workshop which was fun, however, it could have been longer and more serious.

The Flamenco portion of the tour was beautiful. I give the dancers and the musicians 5 stars! There is so much passion and artistry during the performance. One of the dancers even stayed and talked with my friend after the performance and gave us some much info regarding the history and art of Flamenco. I can’t say enough about the dancers and musicians. They were great!
Now the food, left a lot to be desired.
The wait staff was very nice and drinks we good.
I would recommend I would just say eat dinner first!

The flamenco show was very good. The dancers were excellent. The food was mediocre. A drink, salad and entree was included. Its a nice cozy place owned by a couple of the dancers. Very friendly. Before the show they have an optional workshop for the guests of flamenco dancing - conducted by one of the owners, who moved from England decades ago to take up flamenco dancing.

Dancing was amazing and the workshop sharing the history of flamenco informative. Was a little difficult to find the entrance but the show was great. Food was not actually dinner but more shared snack.

I am so glad you enjoyed the flamenco experience. The dinner has a starter (soup`or salad) and then a choice of "racion" per person. These "raciones" are normally shared by two people so we class it as dinner and not as a snack but I understand that maybe for bigger appetites it may be lacking. We will definitely take into consideration your comments.

The flamenco dance workshop prior to the show was very informational and fun. There was a group of 6 of us that participated and the dancer/facilitator did an excellent job of engaging everyone. I would definitely recommend it for a better understanding of the flamenco art form.

We visited on a Sunday, I was excited to see a Flamenco show and this one included tapas which we were also looking forward to. Unfortunately my excitement turned to disappointment once we arrived at the venue. The location was dark and dingy, there were only three customers including my husband and I. The tour /excursion was supposed to be 3 hrs but it was done within 1 1/2 hrs, the tapas were not great at all. The staff /performers as were friendly and really tried their best, hence why I gave it three stars. Do I think it was worth my time, absolutely not.

Hello Alejandro, I am so sorry your visit did not live up to expectations. Sometimes on Sundays there are fewer spectators as our venue largely attracts a local audience which have to work on Mondays. Rather than cancel the event and disapoint those few with bookings, we go ahead and hope that the lack of audience will not detract from the show. In your case, it obviously did.

The entertainment was great. The location was way out in the boonies. finished late, and it was very difficult to get a taxi for lunch. Party The food was awful.

As your party was large - six people if I remember correctly, finding an extra large taxi would have been difficult anywhere. I am really glad you enjoyed the flamenco show. The workshop was fun and fabulous and enabled greater appreciation for the artistry of the performers. The show was mind-blowing, especially learning that each dance was spontaneous. Don't go there for the food because that is a lowlight and not really neccesary in my opinion, but the atmosphere, energy and local community vibe is why you should go. Perfecto!

Great experience but overpriced. No need to book ahead, plus is not really a dinner but appetizers. I just noticed the locals pay for their meals and enjoy the show for free. Great performance, it’s a must see.
