Overview
Spend a half day exploring the beautiful Rabacal Valley, walking through nature trails and tunnels, and finding several waterfalls along the way until you get to the pool with 25 fountains trickling into it. Your guide will lead the way, starting at Paul da Serra, passing through an 875 yd (800m) tunnel of branches, explaining the flora and fauna along the way.

Very nice views. 1 major waterfall. More steps than I realized but doable-I’m 68. Elton was so nice and informative. I learned alot about Madeira.

Whilst being a long walk (12K) with lots of ups and downs this balanced perfectly by an amazingly knowledgeable guide (Susannah) and some local knowledge to avoid an tough climb at the end. Not for those who don't like narrow paths or steep sides, but a fantastic walk

Be prepared to get very wet if raining. Guide was very good. Views limited due to poor weather. Would however go again in summer.

We had a fantastic walk with experienced guide through many waterfalls. Great sense of humor and practical advices. Paths get busy lots of times but we were very well guided through all of them ;)

Out of all the tours I went on during my trip, Alvaro was by far the best tour guide. The walk was challenging at times (with steep inclines, declines and stairs), a little scary (w/ parts of the trail being near the edge), and so much fun! My favorite part was walking through the dark tunnel as well as Alvaro pointing out different plants and birds. He’s also very funny which is great! I’d recommend wearing hiking boots that cover your ankles, as there are some puddles along the way (esp in the tunnel).

We braved rain hailstones and cold, but still managed to appreciate the beauty of this walk. Our excellent guide Alvaro kept us going and well entertained with lots of information about the walk and the Madeira generally. All in all a very good day.

When we booked it said that the tour was four and a half hours, but it turned out to be wrong. It was four and a half hours walk in 11 km which was not clear. The tour was 7.5 hours. If you’re not a hiking enthusiast, the tour is too long and boring and once you’ve arrived at the 25 fairies, it’s like Dante’s inferno with people climbing over each other and over rocks to get room to eat somewhere or to take a good selfie. It was a tiny area and you could not see much of the springs for all people. There was a lot of downhill and uphill and over 800 steps. It all ended with going through a completely pitch black tunnel of 800 m with water up to the calves , that part could have been completely without. The guide Elton was so nice and tried to make the best of everything even though I thought it was boring and hard. He was entertaining and nice

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Tour. Die Tour ist auch super für Anfänger, auch mit unserer 9-jährigen Tochter war es kein Problem. Susanna, unser Guide war mega bemüht und spricht fließend alle Sprachen. Sie wußte unsere Gruppe geschickt so zu steuern, dass wir immer vor den anderen großen Gruppen an den Hot Spots waren.
Wir waren sehr zufrieden, die Landschaft, die Levadas und die Wasserfälle sind absolut sehenswert

Geweldige gids. Informatief sterk. Duidelijk en helder in wat er aankomt en wat je kan verwachten.
Prachtige tocht. Door vroeg weg te gaan, drukte klein beetje ontweken. Rit er naar toe en terug ook prachtig.
Niet voor mensen die niet trappen kunnen lopen voor in totaal 20 min.
