Our guide was knowledgeable and got us thru the crowds to stand close to or be in front of the important art pieces. The pieces themselves were repetitive subject in different styles, mostly two dimensional. After seeing the Pitti Palace, and the big buildup. .the Uffizi was a big disappointment. Not much of anything there.

Vanessa was an amazing guide: we learned so much in a thoughtful and engaging way. Wonderful experience—would definitely recommend.
Patricia_S, Sep 2025
Our guide was wonderful! Her insights into the culture of the time and personalities of the artists brought these works of art to life! Wish we could have spent twice the time on this tour, we really enjoyed it. So glad I booked the in-depth tour with an art historian!
Stephoni_C, Aug 2025
Our guide was amazing! He knew art so well and he helped us learn and relate to it. He knew a lot about the Uffizzi, of course, but he also know about the city and the history. 100% fantastic!

Our tour guide seemed kind and passionate, but the combination of poor audio equipment, her hurried, broken English, and accent made it difficult for us to follow what she was saying. She spent more time in certain places, but by the end, she began speeding up, and it felt like we missed out on the important galleries. It was as if she rushed through the final parts of the tour just as quickly as she spoke. Felt like a waste of money because everything we got out of it, we read on our own.

Dear Guest,
Thank you once again for sharing your feedback with us.
After a thorough review, we found that the other participants on the same tour did not report any issues with the radio devices. We believe the slight instability in audio that you experienced might have been influenced by the particular atmosphere inside the museum, which sometimes affects the perception of sound quality.
Regarding the English language, we would like to reassure you that our guides always ask at the beginning of the tour if anyone foresees difficulties, in order to address and resolve them immediately. In this case, no such comments were raised during your experience.
As for the tour content, the Uffizi itinerary follows a curated path designed by our product managers, based on an official manual. While the guide did mention a few artworks outside this core route, these were shared as brief enrichments, and there may have been an impression that more time should have been devoted to them. Unfortunately, with only 3 hours available, a deeper focus on every piece is not always feasible.
In fact, what might have been perceived as a rushed pace could actually stem from the guide’s personal enthusiasm, leading to additional insights beyond the standard script—something that, while optional, we see as a passionate contribution to the experience.
We truly hope this clarifies some aspects of your visit, and we remain at your disposal should you have any further questions.
Warm regards,
Customer Care Team

Travelers should be warned that internet service is unreliable in Florence. We were unable to download the voucher, tour information or directions to the meeting point. Download everything as soon as you can and take screenshots so you don’t have to rely on service. By the way, the museum is enormous. It would take days to see everything.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Dear Guest,
Thank you for your feedback. Connectivity can indeed be challenging in certain parts of Florence, and we appreciate you sharing this helpful tip with other travelers.
We hope you still enjoyed your visit to the Uffizi Gallery — it’s truly a remarkable place with so much to discover.
Thank you again for your review, and we hope to welcome you again in the future.
Best regards,

This was a great tour - longer than other options on Viatour. 2.5 hours was a good amount of time. Our guide had a masters degree in art history, and took us from the medieval period through the Renaissance. I have forgotten her name though! She shared the stories and history behind the paintings, especially in relation to the Medici and Florence. We had 12 people in our group which was manageable. The museum was very crowded, but our guide was able to keep us together and we could hear her very well with the headphones. Learning about the personalities and interactions of Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Botticelli and DaVinci was very enlightening. Plus her critique of some of the more famous works and seeing the “mistakes” some of the artists made was very interesting.

I would not recommend this tour. Very short (1.5 hr), time wasted a lot, not efficiently planned. Nor worth the money and time spent
Lisa_H, Apr 2025
This is a great way to "cut to the chase" when touring Uffizzi. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about each of the artists and some of their most important works. She guided us through the museum, which was exceptionally packed on that day. She negotiated with other tour guides to be certain we had time to take some photos while she described the history surrounding each piece. I learned a great deal about each of the major artists, the Medici family, and the progression of art over several hundreds of years. I would have known none of the information had our fantastic guide not enlightened us
Dana_B, Apr 2025
Informative and enjoyable - our art guide, Francesca, showed us the museum’s highlights and pointed out things we never would have known without her guidance. It really enhanced our experience!
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Thank you for your kind words! We're so happy to hear that Francesca enriched your visit with her knowledge and passion. At Towns of Italy, we believe a great guide can truly elevate an experience — and we’re thrilled it made a difference for you. Hope to see you again soon!

This was the best tour that I’ve paid for in the last four visits to Italy. I am not a huge fan of paintings, but this tour guy brought everything to life with all of the back stories. She took the time to speak one on one with each person in the group and made them feel welcome. It was evident that she was passionate about her job and it was infectious. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience :)

We went with our guide, Sarah, who was formally trained and so enthusiastic and kind that she made the time melt away. She brought us all deeper into the experience of this amazing collection. This was a wonderful way to experience what could be an overwhelming museum otherwise. With the help of our guide we felt as though we were able to enjoy and appreciate the building and the art collection it houses. This also helped us to gain a better understanding of not only the museum and the art specifically, but also Florence, the Medici, and the Renaissance more broadly.
Highly recommend if you plan to visit the Uffizi (and if you are in Florence…you want to go to the Uffizi!)
Sarah_F, May 2024
This was such a great experience! Our guide Sarah really knew so much about the paintings and the history. She helped us understand not just the art but the history and culture of the people who made it. This was the most fun I've ever had in an art museum. Highly recommend!
Barbara_W, Jan 2024
We had an absolutely fantastic tour with Andrea! She was so knowledgeable and shared such interesting information about both the history of Florence and its art, weaving the two together to really help you understand the Renaissance period. Her comparison of the practices and techniques used to what we do in contemporary times really helped our understanding. Her enthusiasm was contagious. The tour showed us so much more than we could have ever discovered on our own. This experience is highly recommended!!

Vanessa was an exceptional tour guide during our visit to the Uffizi Gallery. She gave us the history and the stories of the art with passion and her detailed knowledge of the art and imagery was truly impressive. What set her apart was her warm and friendly approach, ensuring everyone in our group felt included and engaged. Highly recommend!
Petar_P, Aug 2023
Our tour guide Marta was phenomenal. She made the whole experience unforgettable and so interesting and educational. We left the tour with more knowledge and understanding of art because of her. Thank you! Highly recommended!
Aristea_T, Jul 2023
Excellent !!! We got tired but we saw and learnt a lot of things.
We gave a lot of money, but we will never forget this experience.
Kevin_M, Jul 2023
I have taken a shorter Uffizi tour a few years ago. It was very good; more an introduction to the Uffizi collection. This 3 hour tour was on another level. It was a small tour group which is beneficial. The guide allowed us time to discuss the background, technique and style of the most significant paintings. She filled in biographical details of the painters and models. We also discussed other artworks by many of the painters on display in other art galleries. The 3 hours flew by. It was an outstanding tour led by an outstanding guide. I decided to focus on one tour on my visit to Florence and I definitely chose the right one.
Rebekah_S, May 2023
Wonderful! Our guide was a bonafide expert in art and kept everyone's rapt attention for hours. Seeing these world famous pieces was an unreal and exhilarating experience.
Jose_B, Apr 2023
A Philistine like me had a lot to learn from Marcia… I am not much of an art lover but this was a great way for me to appreciate the value of the art in front of me. Highly recommended
Tove_H, Oct 2022
Our guide was so skillful, she loves her job, art and Firenze, and know how to communicate in a interesting and funny way. I learned a lot and had a great time . We were a small group and my friend has earproblems , but on this tour she had no problems. Everything was perfect!
Julie_N, Aug 2022
We had a great afternoon tour with Vanessa, who was informative, engaging, charismatic, and had a natural talent of bringing the paintings and their stories to life. With all the art in the Uffizi, we definitely needed a guide to help us make sense of everything we were seeing and were very pleased by this small group tour offered by Florencetown and Vanessa.
wendi_r, Aug 2022
Wow! So much to see. A definite must for art enthusiasts! Our tour guide was great. Our tour guide was great!

Robert_L, May 2022
This tour was very informative & interesting. Our guide, Sara, did an outstanding job of keeping our group moving & expertly moved us in between the many other tour groups to allow the best view of each of the art pieces she spoke to. We throughly enjoyed her tour.
June_K, May 2022
Our guide was vary knowledgeable without being boastful! She was always aware of our comfort!! I loved this tour!
Caroline_S, Apr 2022
Sarah our guide was very knowledgeable and efficient. She was able to summarize and explain the story related to the masterpieces of this museum. The time flew so fast. I would have taken more explanation!
