It was all about skipping the line to start the stairs to the top! Guide was fine and the view was good. Was happy that they had pullout points for those of us not in shape for 450+ stairs. One-time thing.

The Duomo deserves a much better tour

The “ guided” part of this tour was so reduced, (while queuing before climbing the steps mostly) that it left me frustrated. Besides, squeezing the explanation while queuing before entering is not fair for our guide either for she can only give a small contribution. Therefore my suggestion, if I may : propose a different experience / product with enough space and time for the guide to talk about this extraordinary achievement. To do that there should be a proper place to have this explanation, enough time and a proper content

Disappointing guide

I was looking forward to this trip unfortunately it was very hard to understand our guide. I recommend a microphone closer to his mouth which might have made it clearer. I was aware of the stairs going up the Duomo… not for the faint hearted. It is a spectacular sight once we got to the top. I was not aware that the ticket for other parts of the building is good for 72 hours… which we were not able to use sadly.

This tour was surprising because I wasn't planning on going to the top of the Duomo but the tour literally leads you into the staircase upon entering the Duomo. The closed in stairs gave me anxiety and I felt anxious walking up. I was going to go down but instead waited until the tour groups passed and continued on my own. I asked at several stops how to go down and was told to just go up a few more steps and I could go down. I never found a spot to go down but I made it to the top. So satisfying to make it to the top. What a gorgeous view! Just be warned that the stairs are all enclosed.

Challenging stairs to the top but worthwhile for amazing view of Florence. The only downside is that because it’s so busy they rush you at the top.

It was a waste of money considering what we we paid.

The most of the guided tour was in line while we waited to enter in the copula Duomo entrance at the bottom. English was hard to understand. Thought we were getting a 2 hour "guided" tour. 30 min in line is where the guide did most of the talking where you see nothing inside the Duomo. No talking as you ascend the stairs and maybe 10 min at the top. Was told to go see the inside of the Duomo on your own as well as the bell tower and bapistry.

Showed up right as tour was scheduled to start. May have been a few minutes earlier but couldn’t find person with tour sign in her lap. Was told we couldn’t join tour even though the whole group was in a line right there. Kept asking why can’t we get at the end of that line. Was told “ the man with the tickets “has already left “. Do yourself a favor and find another tour group that understands customer service and satisfaction.

Ilenia from Italy Pass Tours did a fantastic job providing a tour of the Duomo and at the end of the tour, she provided each of us a Brunelleschi Pass to access the Cupola. Regrettably, when we reviewed the tour information, unless overlooked, our group was not aware we would get this type of pass and therefore, didn’t understand we would have access to Brunelleschi's Dome, Giotto’s Bell Tower, Baptistry, Opera del Duomo Museum and Santa Reparata -- so we purchased a Giotti Pass the night prior to ensure we would be able to access the tower and baptistry. It would be helpful to include the type of pass provided for this tour so others avoid purchasing a duplicate pass. The hike up to the top is arduous, but well worth it for the views. The tower also provides great views and is slightly less stairs to climb. I would definitely recommend scheduling this tour, well worth it.

Shambolic experience

The tour is advertised as ‘Skip the Line’ tickets, yet we queued for 45 minutes to get into the Babistry and we’re then told we could only stay for 15 minutes because we had to be at the next part of the tour. We did nor receive a guided tour of the Cathedral as our guide said her ‘time was up’. We did not receive what we had paid for.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. We payed 32€ to go up to the Dome and we have several problems to acces. The oficial price was 20€ so they toke 12€ of each!!! The workers in the Dome sayed y to us to be carefull other times about buying tickets from this and other websites. I would never buy more tickets.

La nostra guida, Victoria, preparatissima, disponibile, simpatica e gentile ci ha accompagnato fino in cima ci ha raccontato in modo dettagliato la storia del duomo e della cupola. biglietti pagati ma non pervenuti

servizio lento. prenotato un primobiglietto il 31/08 e fino qui tutto bene. prenotato un secondo biglietto il 03/09 dato che dava ancora disponibilita per un certo orario, arrivati a salire sulla cupola il 05/09 e il secondo biglietto non c'era, la prenotazione non era stata confermata, pero i 34 euro di biglietti erano stati prelevati dalla carta. una volta parlato con la signorina addetta le parole sono state queste: i biglietti non ci sono faro' uno storno dell'importo pagato. lo storno ancora non si vede, ed ha aspettato che arrivassimo a firenze per dirci che i biglietti non erano disponibili.

Buongiorno Giulia! Siamo estremamente dispiaciuti per la sua esperienza con la nostra agenzia. Come ho già spiegato al punto di incontro la piattaforma VIATOR ci manda la richiesta di accettare o rifiutare la sua prenotazione. Ad esempio la sua prima prenotazione per il 4 settembre e’ stata fatta il 31 agosto e noi l’abbiamo accettata in quanto i biglietti erano ancora disponibili. La sua seconda prenotazione e’ stata effettuata il 3 settembre per il giorno dopo e la piattaforma VIATOR ha inviato la richiesta. In questo caso abbiamo dovuto rifiutare la richiesta in quanto i biglietti per la cupola erano già’ venduti. La stessa cosa e’ successa con la sua terza prenotazione. Il suo pagamento e’ andato alla piattaforma e non alla nostra agenzia. In 2-3 giorni lavorativi VIATOR le farà’ in rimborso in quanto Lei non ha usufruito del servizio.
