Unfortunately this tour did not work out for us. Once our guide Sylvia arrived - she was 10 minutes late - she was accommodating to helping us check our backpack & find a toilet. After that, I was not impressed with crowd or long line control. There was no “skip the line” with a private tour guide to get into see the Duomo and the line was very long. We ended up going to the Bell Tower first, then the museum. The Baptistry was under construction so nothing to really see via the main sight.
Upon returning to the Duomo line - it continued to be long. Sylvia told us out tickets are good for 3 days so we decided to call it done & visit on our own.
Nothing bad to say about our guide - just the entire process of getting in & touring was not easy or pleasant.
There are other smaller museums & collections to view. Go enjoy them

However, we would like to clarify that when our guide arrived at the meeting point, you were no longer there. It was therefore necessary to contact you by phone in order to meet and start the tour. The guide immediately apologized for the small misunderstanding and did her best to ensure the smooth running of the visit.
Regarding the visit itself, please note that access to the Cathedral is managed directly by the administration of the complex, and during busy periods, lines may form even for ticket holders. The ticket used for this tour includes priority access to the various monuments of the complex; however, all visitors are still required to go through mandatory security checks, which can sometimes cause brief delays.
We are pleased to know that the guide remained patient and did her best to make the experience as enjoyable as possible despite the circumstances. We sincerely hope that, despite the crowds and the ongoing restoration works, you were still able to appreciate the beauty and history of Florence’s Cathedral complex.

Great take - Had a great guide. On the negative side 1) Email sent us pre-tour on a wild goose chase to pick up tickets (wasn’t necessary because guide had them). 2) Assumed we were getting “skip line tix” which were faster than regular tix but still 45 minute wait…

As mentioned on the voucher, tickets are normally collected at the meeting point. However, for guests who choose the pick-up option, the guide collects the tickets in advance, and the meeting point becomes the location selected for the pick-up.
Regarding the skip-the-line access, please note that it allows you to bypass the ticket line, but all visitors must still go through the mandatory security checks managed by the museum. During busy periods, these procedures may take a little longer, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

One of the best tours we did here. Our guide was amazing and easy to understand. We went to the top of the dome. Worth the thigh burning climb! However keep in mind you only have a limited time to climb to top get pics and get down. I loved seeing the paintings up close and learning how they worked on it.

The tour was absolutely fantastic! Everything was on time and nicely paced. The tour guide was very knowledgable and she gave us great lessons about history, culture and religion during the tour, which we found fascinating to learn. They arranged the tickets ahead of time, and we do not need to worry about anything just showing up, which is convenient and helpful, especially if during peak seasons. My husband and I very much appreciated the work and effort put into the design of the tour. Climbing the dome was optional but definitely worth it, to have an overview of the city.

Wehad the absolute best time with Sarah M! We were running a few minutes late and she did not mind at all, she was gracious, warm and kind!
My mom was in a wheelchair and she was very helpful and even met us at our hotel! Her knowledge of the Duomo was both interesting and educational! She spoke very good English and was very patient! We loved our time spent with her and it was really worth the money!

And it was obvious that Sandro, steeped in art history was prepared to answer our questions, some of which were quite arcane.

The cupola, Baptistry, and museum are, in and of themselves, stunning and worth every Euro. What made them even more spectacular however, was the context and history provided by our guide, Eva. Her vast knowledge of the history of the region coupled with her commentary on the symbolism behind the art made this less of a tour and more of an experience. I highly recommend booking a private tour with Accord.

Our guide did not add much to our experience. She had a lot of info to share, but it was recited rote, and her accent was extremely difficult to understand - Eastern European? I love history, art, culture... but I was bored by her presentation.

The Guide was tired and with a lasst Attitude. I expected more for a private Tour. In the DUOMO she said: it’s the final judgment. That’s it.

A terrific experience with this tour. Skip-the-line is the only way to go in Florence during such a busy tourist time. Our guide was informative, personable, and entertaining. However our guide struggles a bit with English and compared to other tour guides we’ve had she was lacking in knowledge and her ability to help us understand what we were seeing.
