Overview

Enjoy an immersive culinary experience with a 4-hour private pastry making class. This cultural cooking class comes with one-on-one attention from your teacher. Choose from two menus - including langos (deep fried flat bread) and gerbeaud (layer cake) - based on your tastes and your teacher will provide all of the ingredients and cooking materials, along with round trip transport. The course location was easy to find, and we were even sent a photo of the venue in advance. All communication beforehand was pleasant and professional. The course itself was informative and enjoyed by all our colleagues. The lady who led the cooking class was very friendly and made a great effort. We were all able to make 2-3 Baumkuchen and take them home with us. Some background music might have been nice to make the atmosphere more relaxed.

The entire experience was a highlight of our trip. Marti was so organized and hospitable we loved our time with her learning about Hungary and experiencing foods and making some delicious desserts too! We’ve made the recipes at home and they work wonderfully.

Really enjoyable experience!! Marti was very friendly and a great teacher. Food was delicious and definitely something I'm going to try at home. Only issue was that I ate too many of the Langos and had to lie down for a bit when I got back to my hotel, but it was worth it! Highly recommend!

This baking class was such a great addition to my trip to Budapest. You get to try some homemade Palinka and soda. Marti is a wonderful instructor and host. Since there was some down time while waiting for yeast to rise, she was able to give some suggestions on things to do while I was in Hungary. The desserts themselves were so delicious and I cannot wait to try them for my family! I would highly recommend taking her baking class!
