Absolutely fabulous workshop, Janka was so helpful and friendly and was able to answer everyone’s questions, it was well paced and I came away with 3 delicious chimney cakes and a certificate 😊 highly recommend!

This chimney cake making experience was really fun and well organized. Everything was prepped for you, and the instructions were easy to follow, so it felt relaxed and beginner-friendly. You get to make three chimney cakes and choose your own flavours, which was a nice touch. The kitchen is set up in a U-shape and fits around 12 people, so it feels structured and efficient without being crowded. Overall, a short and enjoyable activity I’d recommend.

Excellent workshop! However, we found it a little difficult to find as there was no sign on the store to say the class was in the shop. We had to ask if we were at the correct place. The class was down stairs in the shop. The stairs may be difficult for those with mobility problems. Otherwise a fantastic way to spend an afternoon with family!!

Enjoyable Cooking Experience

Visitors stood around a U shaped table with our own preparation station, equipped with food and tools needed. This made for great learning and easy conversation with others. Note we had to stand the whole time which was fine for us but thought to let others know. A walk down a steep staircase brought us to a very cheerful kitchen area.

Wonderful time making chimney cakes. The young man who led our session was fun, clear in explanation and the group of people we were with weee brilliant fun. We made theee chimney cakes, for the history of the pastry, the bakery we were at and for to take them away with us. A complimentary drink is provided and a certificate to mark the day. I would highly recommend this activity as part of your visit to Budapest! Fab!

Fantastic family experience. We enjoyed the Chimney cake making and the guide who showed us how to make it, Marcel was great as well. It was efficient, well organized, and a fun evening activity to do with the kids and both my teenagers enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend.

It was ok. Crowded space in a basement with very steep stairs. Sunflower oil is used. We made 3 chimney cakes and it was fun. No history given or narrative. Just made the cakes.

We had such a fun experience at Chimney Cake School! The instructor was incredibly patient and kind with my 7-year-old, which made the whole class so enjoyable and stress-free. We loved learning how to make the chimney cakes, and they turned out absolutely delicious. Such a memorable activity for families — highly recommend!

Bianca was a wonderful teacher and very patient with us novice chimney cake bakers. We had the opportunity to make three chimney cakes which was more than enough. They also offered 4 different topping options.. My son would have liked to have been able to try to make a cone chimney cake and add ice cream to it. Overall, it was a good family outing.

Excellent experience, I thoroughly recommend, it was great fun and a tasty take away too. It was a small shop, tucked away on a street near to St Stephen’s Basilica. The staff were very welcoming and spoke perfect English. We were given expert tuition to create three chimney cakes, and the even shared their own cake when one of the group’s cake fell apart.

Nice classroom setup in basement of s chimney cake store. Made 3 cakes, and each progressively got better in quality. The teacher Tabitha was very knowledgeable and described the process clearly, so was easy to follow her directions. Very fun class!

I believe our teachers name was Kate or Katy, but she did a great job teaching us how to make Chimney cakes. I love that we got to make 3, so you could try different flavors and take pictures of your best one. She also offered a few separate times to take pictures, which was sweet.
