We enjoyed the tour tremendously., however we were disappointed that the Estergom Cathedral was undergoing renovations, so didn’t see it in its full glory. Our guide Vera was very informative. too.

This was an awful experience: bus broke down. No washrooms. Lunch at 4:00 pm , guide spoke mainly Spanish, description of excursion was not as depicted. It was a total waste of time and money. The cathedral was under construction and we were not advised in advance. Definitely a do not book in my opinion.

The guide was rude from the start. Had zero desire to answer any basic questions. We didn't even get her name. She had no empathy for my father who was slower because he uses a cane. They did no preplanning around getting out of the city, even though the bike race had been scheduled for months so they should've known about that. They advertised going to the church, but the entire inside was filled with scaffolding for the last two years and they didn't tell us that. At the first stop she didn't even wait for my family to get up to the line to get entrance so we had to argue with the guard that we were actually with the tour that went through. She just didn't care.Then,
at the church instead of telling us where to go, which did not need a ticket for entrance, we had to wait 15 minutes for her to get into an elevator to come to the top to tell us we didn't need a ticket. Next, It was supposed to be English and Spanish, but it was clearly Spanish first and with more detail. She was disrespectful at times. And I've been on a lot of Viator tours, more than many people. This woman was terrible and she made a bad trip worse. I would definitely avoid this trip with this female guide.

The trip description did not match the itinerary. There wasn’t a boat trip. We were advised that the boat would continue through September. In actuality it doesn’t operate on Mondays. So no boat trip. We were dropped off at a different location than where we started. And the Grayline bus air conditioning wasn’t working. Very hot and uncomfortable.

What an unpleasant tour guide. I think her name is Judit, a blonde lady. I don't want to judge people, but if I am paying $100 for a day, I don't want to spend with a tour guide who is uninterested and lazy. She did her short commentary in English and Spanish on the bus, and talked to the driver the whole way. She doesn't engage with guests and treats them like they are obstacles for her. She complained about the wages being the lowest in Hungary among EU countries, I was just surprised that she has a job as a tour guide and gets paid with this performance in any EU country. The tour was not designed well either. The lunch place is middle of nowhere, you are stuck to eat there. I went to the bathroom in the restaurant first and it was pretty dirty, so I couldn't eat lunch. Also, the tour uses the bus 90% of the time and the boat is a public transport, so you can take it on your own. We had Ben as a guide on our city tour with the same company, and we had fantastic time. Unfortunately, it wasn't the case this time and I cannot recommend this tour to anyone. Total waste of my money&time in my opinion.

reasonably well organised day trip, we visited nice towns, even stepped on Slovakian soil. The only issue was that we arrived too early at Esztergom’s Basilica and we wasted an invaluable hour waiting for the mass to finish but such things happen. We loved Visegrad Castle and Szentendre.

It was a great day, with so much history and beautiful sights! The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The coach driver was lovely too. The stop for lunch was amazing. There are some steps involved at the castle so be prepared and also have a euro for the rest stop at the Cathedral. The boat cruise back was a relaxing way to end the day. Highly recommend this wonderful day out.

Vera and Antonio were awesome. Vera was excellent in switching languages to explain to us. First in English, then in Spanish. Her native tongue is Hungarian, so that made it even more special. A perfect day!

During the excursion we stopped at each place (Esztergom, Sturovo, Visegrad, restaurant, Szentendre, boat) for a short time between 15min and one hour. This was not a problem for me, as I visited Szentendre before several times on my own, and also Visegrad once, while in Esztergom the church was in restoration. The whole experience to see all together along the Danube was the main focus and the timing of the guide (Istvan) was great. There was also time to buy souvenirs. Thanks to the audios to take with we could also not get lost when going a bit to the side. The tour was in both Spanish (main) and English. The food in the restaurant was very good. We were also helped by the luck of good weather, unlike the next day. The boat to Budapest was rather full, I catched the last place to sit on the deck. The boat is doing a change of course so that the palace of Parliament can be well seen and photographed.

The guide was informative but the trip was in English and Spanish and the guide was more comfortable speaking in Spanish so there was not equal time between the 2 languages. Good overall day trip.

We had a great time exploring the Danube Bend. The Esztergom Cathedral was amazing and the castle / citadel was also a win. We recommend doing this before touring Budapest as it lays a great foundation for the history there.

Judith was the guide.
The time spent in each place of interest was completely miscalculated.
Too short in visgrad castle. Too long in sentendre waiting for the boat back to budapest.

Gyuri was our guide from Cityrama . He was knowledgeable, and enthusiastic and ensured our trip lasting for approximately 8 hours was exciting. He provided excellent commentary on the historical background of every place we visited and we enjoyed the trip.

The design of the trip was great
However our guide was terrible.
He was supposed to do his description in Spanish French and English but he never got the description timed right. He would start in Spanish see something say oh yes in English then continue in Spanish never describing things in French or English.
He did not seem to care either he just faced front and spent the majority of the time chatting with the driver.
When we stopped and got off the bus he would describe the instructions in Spanish and then wave his hands at us to go.
At the last stop I finally said we need directions and a time to meet and the he described what we needed to know.
I felt he was very dismissive and really almost upset any time someone asked a question.
And there were two occasions he had the wrong dates. I knew because I started googling information so I would know what we were seeing.
Seeing the cathedral castle and artist town was great but I would say skip his tour you would learn more on your own

Very pleasant full day outing.
Our guide Gyuri did a great job, explaining everything along the way. Since we were a small group he took us through smaller roads and saw great scenery. Nice boat ride back from Szentendre.

Our tour guide, Vera, was excellent and inclusive - she seamlessly switched from Spanish to English, recounting interesting tales and information to our small group on the sites we visited.
The tour took us to interesting places; the Basciilica at Eszrtergom, the castle and views for Visegrad, and Szentendre where we stopped for a couple of hours. Vera was very good at taking us round the sites at each location. The optional self service lunch was acceptable and reasonably priced.
Aspects that were not so good were the fact that we were only told the boat trip would not run after the 24 hour cancellation period had expired (this was due to the high water level that had affected all river cruises for days beforehand) We would have liked more time at the castle or to walk round Esztergom.

The destinations were lovely and worth a visit. However, our guide, although pleasant enough, was too elderly and infirm to do the job effectively. She walked very slowly with a stick and couldn't climb stairs very well so she briefed us at the bottom of 2 of the 3 stops and sent us off. She regularly lost her train of thought when explaining the history and background on the bus. She also gave poor advice about the cruise which meant we all wound up with poor seats on the return

This tour is not recommended during winter time.
Esztergom was OK as they take you to a point for photos and then visit the cathedral without the guide. The guide gives 45 minutes to visit and doesn't accompany you inside.
Visegrád is just a lunch break in an expensive restaurant where the waiter charges whatever he feels like without referring to the price on the menu card. Good thing in hotel was they gave vegetarian food without onion & garlic. In Visegrád, they don't show any place to you, even from a distance.
In Szentendre, the agent gave 45 minutes to go on your own and being winter, it was dark at 4.30 pm and almost all shops closed. Couldn't enjoy the beauty of the small village.
What a waste of time the tour was? Not at all recommended in winter time. In summers they have a boat ride back to budapest, maybe that is good.
