Fun and hands on activity! She gave us step by step direction in preparing the meal. The food was delish and very filling. Gotta be the best gyro, pita and tzatziki sauce I’ve ever had! Hoping to receive the recipe soon so we can recreate this at home. Highly recommend this cooking class.

What a fantastic evening!! The dinner was very organized. We seasoned the meat, made spreads, pitas from scratch and learned how to properly assemble and roll gyros. Our hosts were, funny, kind and shared so much knowledge about Greek food, customs, and culture. We are so happy that we made time for this experience. Thank you!!

This was amazing!! We had so much fun learning to cook gyros! Iasonas and Kostas were such a great team, they were knowledgeable and made the lesson really fun! One of our favorite things we did while visiting Athens, would definitely recommend!!

Our family participated during a rainy day in Athens. We easily used the Metro to reach the location. Our hosts were tremendously friendly and fun. The meal also filled us all up. We recommend as a terrific choice for a rainy day or a creative alternative to a meal out.

Fun cooking class

This was such an awesome experience! We were met outside and lead up to a beautiful large rooftop where we had this intimate cooking class for 11 people. It was 3 hours but flew by with lots of snacks and drinks throughout. We really had a hands on experience cooking every portion of the meal. We were all so full at the end! Food was amazing! Loved the spicy feta dip!!! Our host family was so fun and all was involved in making this a great experience. Highly recommend to this cooking class if you are in Athens!

Dionysia and her son did an amazing job walking us through how to make the Greek comfort food, gyros. We looked at cooking classes to do as a family but most made me hesitant as our kids aren’t adventurous eaters. When I saw the gyro class, I jumped on it thinking we could make it work for the kids. The hosts were very accommodating, reaching out the day before about the specific meats and any other need to know items before we arrived. We wound up having a private class as they didn’t have another booking for our time slot but we enjoyed the time of getting to know more about their family and their knowledge of Greece and Athens. We would highly recommend this experience for you, especially for family’s with kids.

This was an AMAZING start to our Greek vacation! Dionysia and her family warmly welcomed my husband, kids (18 & 16) and immediately made us feel like family. We loved the food and appreciated that everyone got to help make everything. We went to the 10:30 session, and over dinner tonight, we brainstormed how we could duplicate the gyros, pita, and tirokafteri for friends and family at home! Highly recommend this experience!

If I could, I would give this class a 10 rating. It was amazing!! Dionysia's class was superb from beginning to end. Not only did each of us learn how to make Gyros with homemade Pita bread and Tzatziki, but she gave us a glimpse into the Greek culture and true Greek hospitality. Her kitchen felt just like a home environment and we were treated to warm, kind and generous Greek hospitality. I will treasure this experience forever and hope someday to return to Athens just to attend another one of her classes. Many thanks Dionysia!

This cooking experience is so much fun. It’s delicious and informative. We loved our host! She has a great personality. I’m a travel agent and I know a good tour from a bad tour and this one was excellent. I would highly recommend. Note- I have a gluten allergy and she brought special GF ingredients for me to enjoy the experience just the same as everyone else. So thoughtful!

Dionysia is awesome! This wasn't some impersonal basic class, this was cooking amazing food with passion. If you love food and you want to feel like you're cooking along with your favorite friend/family in their kitchen, this is the class for you. The food was simple, soul satisfying, and deeply delicious and I can't wait to try to recreate these dishes when we come home.

We had a wonderful time visiting with our host, rolling up our sleeves and diving into our recipes. We prepared traditional pork gyros. The spice profile was aromatic and delivered an excellent flavor when the meat was fully cooked. Making the pita bread was fun. We make bread weekly and we are familiar with making pita. However, the flavor and texture of this particular pita recipe is out of the park, delicious! We made fresh tzatziki and spicy feta and a wonderful yogurt dessert. The best part was eating what we made. The flavors of the tzatziki, with the feta blended with the pork, wrapped around with that incredible pita bread was amazing!

Ideal Family Cooking & Cultural Experience

For our family, this was the perfect cooking experience! We try to find cooking classes when we travel to experience a different side of the cultures. This class definitely delivers a family spirit with Dionysia, her husband & son all pitching in to help our small group. Dionysia has a great background story for her business & the family is all-in on supporting its success which is inspiring to see. Most importantly for us, the class was a hit with our young adult children. We each cooked typical Greek recipes we know & love, so the kids came away happy & confident they could replicate their favorites at home. We were paired with another family & everyone cooked, laughed, and ate together. Certainly no one left hungry. Altogether, it was an ideal experience for our family!

This was a great experience! I went to Greece with my boyfriend for my 30th birthday and the one thing I really wanted to do was take an authentic Greek cooking class and this class was better than I expected! What a great experience, from understanding the myths to sharing experiences. We had such a great time doing this class. We chose the lunch option, and were picked up at our hotel and driven to the location. It felt like being in someone’s home, with a real family atmosphere. Dionysia is an absolute gem, and she and her husband Kostas and their beautiful son, made us feel very welcome. We sat around the kitchen island and dining table chatting up a storm while we learned how to make gyros, pita breads etc. once this was cooked we were able to see how wonderful it all tasted. This was followed by an equally delicious dessert. This family love what they do and it shows. We would highly recommend that you add this cooking class to your list of things to do in Athens. You won’t be disappointed.
