Great Acropolis Guided Tour!

Excellent tour, easy meet up at the Acropolis Metro entrance, short walk to Acropolis gates & we skipped the queues which was handy! Nikos was a superb guide, tailored his info to my interests & was able to answer all my questions. Well-paced walk with plenty of time to rest & hydrate in the shade & great photo opportunities. Highly recommended especially if time poor and/or travelling solo as I got so much out of the tour, far more than I would have if doing it on my own. Five stars!

The historical information wasn’t too much or too little. Our guide was super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The walk was long but so well worth it! Our Guide regularly stopped and checked in on us to see if we needed to rest etc. the whole experience was of perfect pace and duration! We highly recommend this tour.

Amazing !! Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. Yes you can walk around on your own but hearing the history adds so much more value I highly reccomend this. It was not overly expensive and if this is a once in a lifetime trip it’s worth every penny.

Our tour guide Nikolaos was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took extra time to tell stories for our 2 children (4 and 6 yrs old). We stopped on the south slope at several locations to break up the trek to make the tour manageable for our kids. Would highly recommend.

This was a lovely experience, our tour guide was very informative. It was not overcrowded, a wonderful time to go up to the Acropolis. Whilst you can enter the site without a guide, i highly recommend a guide that talks through the history and monuments, it makes a more fulfilling experience.

I was running late and the tour guide waited for me, while the rest of the group started the tour with another guide. I ended up having a private tour, which was very interesting, exciting and motivating to learn more about history. Un guide sympathique qui nous a fourni nombreuses informations et histoires intéressantes. Malheureusement le tour était en anglais alors que ce n’était pas précisé sur le site internet ni sur le coupon de réservation. Les français sont des touristes de plus en plus nombreux et on ne leur propose pas grand chose à part des visites privées très chères (nous étions 4 personnes dans le groupe, 2 français et 2 américaines). Si j’ai globalement apprécié le tour, cela n’a pas tout à fait été le cas de mon compagnon qui ne maîtrise pas la langue. D’autres sites touristiques en Europe ont des explications dans les langues européennes majeures ( guide, audiophones, panneaux d’ecplications, etc)

Dear guest, Thank you for choosing Mister Plato for the Acropolis tour and for your honest review on the tour. We assure you that we already have taken your words into consideration. However, we would like to make a few comments on your review. Firstly, once again we apologize for the misunderstanding. We just remind you that when you arrived at the meeting point and you realised that the tour was not in French, but in English, your tour guide offered to give you a full refund ( even in cash!), Secondly, because we wanted to make up for our mistake, we did not charge you the Acropolis entrance tickets (20 euros each). So, actually you paid only 8 euros each for the tour, which is a very good deal for a guided tour of the Acropolis ( 1h and 45 min), even if it was in english. Lastly, you implied that we do not consider the French tourists that come to Athens, because we do not offer daily tours in French. The reason is that licensed French speaking guides are not as many as their english colleagues and therefore they are better paid. Now that all is clear we would like to thank you again and send you our best wishes With Kind Regards Mister Plato Team
