Sunset at Cape Sounion
What an amazing sight! The end destination is absolutely beautiful and to watch the sun set at Cape Sounion highlighted by the Temple of Poseidon... magical. The journey also has some stops along the way to provide additional views and experiences. Communication from the staff was timely and accurate.

Pleasant ride to visite the Temple of Poseidon
Clean and comfortable bus. The guide information is provided via audio devices with prerecorded tracks that are automatically activated based on geographical location. The audio device allows selection of preferred language. I would have personally preferred live guidance info. Once on site, I would have a appreciated a little more time for the sunset (sunset was at 20h45 and we had to be in the bus for 8h55). Overall, it was a very good tour.

Beautiful family trip to...
Beautiful family trip to Sounio! 3 adults and 3 kids - taken in a clean van safely to dinner and then Sounio for the sunset. George was our driver and he was friendly and engaging with the adults and kids. Dinner was literally next to the sea with amazing fish! Sounio was just gorgeous at sunset! Great tour!

Our tour was with Jason....
Our tour was with Jason. We had an amazing time, the sunset was beautiful, the vehicle was very clean and comfortable. Jason took us to an authentic greek seafood restaurant located on the water on the way home. The food was delicious. Jason was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. I would highly recommend this tour.

Aerial view of the beach and Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion in Athens
  • One of the most iconic sights in mainland Greece, Cape Sounion is a must for photographers, Instagrammers, and history buffs.

  • The 19th-century poet Lord Byron carved his name into one of the columns here. Please don’t follow his example, although plenty of travelers have.

  • The site includes a café-restaurant, a gift shop, and restrooms.

  • Slopes and uneven terrain present some challenges, but it’s possible to get close to the Temple of Poseidon using a wheelchair. The steep beach path is not wheelchair-accessible.
