We met at the appointed time and location and were inside very quickly with a group of five. The Van Gogh museum did not disappoint, I just wish Starry Night was available for viewing, sadly it was on loan somewhere else. Our tour person was very knowledgeable and brought up many facts about Van Gogh that were interesting.

Private tour with just a guide and my girlfriend. Extensive experience of the museum explaining each room and painting into great detail including all the backstory. Our guide Gauthier was 11/10. Would do it again and recommend to all our friends.

Having a tour guide made the Van Gogh Museum experience much more enjoyable and meaningful. Our guide Fabi was very knowledgeable about both Van Gogh’s life and his art, and did a great job highlighting the most important works while sharing interesting stories and background. It helped us appreciate the artist, his life and immense talent, and his incredible paintings on a much deeper level.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Tour felt very rushed, not enough time to look at the paintings that were being explained. Tour was supposed to be 1.5 hours, we started at 1:40 and ended at 2:43. We have done many museum tours around the world and this was our least favorite. The price for this tour is not in line with the experience.

Our guide Kawika was fabulous. He was very knowledgeable on the history of Van Gogh’s works as well as the anecdotes that surrounded his life. We came away with much more than e ever expected and thoroughly enjoyed the Museum!

Guide was great. Knowledgable and friendly. Ticketing and logistics of meeting our guide were awful. No barcodes and the people admitting folks to the museum were not helpful. We finally found him after some phone calls.

We had Martina, and she was incredible!! Having an art historian who could move us through the crowds and explain in detail the pieces and processes of the painting was excellent! Highly recommend doing this tour!

It was a good experience. We are not usually museum people, but since we had some time in Amsterdam, it was a good opportunity to learn about Van Gogh. We took the guided tour and enjoyed having the guide bring us around to explain the life of Van Gogh and the development of his art through the years, including artists that seemingly influenced his art. We would definitely have been wandering around and gotten lost without the guide.

Tickets were not sent ahead of time. Had to use WhatsApp to receive the tickets. Was not a guided tour despite what the title said. I was not able to receive a refund for the guide not showing up. Would not do this tour.
