What an awesome experience! Loved every minute!! The audio guide was very helpful especially for a first time visitor!
Brilliant experience and definitely recommend using the audio guide. The layout was well set out but the only thing is it is very busy so you have to sit back and take things slow waiting for a space to open up to see things.

Visited the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam. Lots to see and a beautiful experience. I highly recommend seeing the collection.
Better description of where entrance to museum is would be helpful. Beyond that they made my trip to the Van Gough museum a total sucess!
We were almost turned away from the museum. The ticket voucher was not accepted by the museum. It was difficult to access the real tickets. Phone screen kept going from Trip Advisor to Viator and downloads . Finally found the tickets. It was a frustrating and embarrassing experience.
The museum itself was great.
the self guided tour was excellent! the audio guide was not included but we would highly recommend to purchase it for a small fee to enhance the experience.
Nice collection and audio tour. Very draconian about handbags of most sizes - free lockers available. Lots of Van Gogh shopping. Great location and lots to do nearby.
It was very easy to get into the museum and having an audio guide explaining every detail was very helpful. My 9 year old was very engaged and we were able to walked the whole museum. I recommend this experience very highly.
Amazing. To be able to stand that close to one of the greatest artist ever was overwhelming. I was touched on so many levels.
Lovely to see all the Van Gogh paintings. Lifts to all floors made getting around easy. Good gift shops.
Light and airy building
Went at 10:30 on a summer day. Though the museum was well run, it was too crowded to truly enjoy the experience.
Excellent experience.. this was a great place to visit. Truly a must to come with family and friends
For having a set time slot it was way to overcrowded around each painting (understandable) to fully enjoy the art work. But it was nice to see some of the original paintings done by him and his letters as well.
The museum was so well organized and easy to navigate. It brought tears to my eyes the whole time. We figured an hour but took 2 1/2! I wouldn’t pass this experience up!

Very interesting. Go early, a lot of people. One tour lady didn’t have a headset and neither did her group. As a result she was yelling and disturbed everyone else.
Great museum - audio was good info but instructions on how to use not great. Had it on overview and not full for half museum - had to go back and catch up once I figured it out.
Kevin was our guide, he was great, he was super helpful and very friendly, we had pancakes with him at zaanse Schans. we enjoyed talking with him during our lunch. He took us to so many great spots and had interesting facts and he never hesitated when asked to take a photo. 10 out of 10. One of the best things we did while in Amsterdam
I found getting my ticket very difficult, a email came the day before with a tour guide name I didn’t know. I thought it was a spam email. At the museum my tour guide from the boat had to use her Wi-Fi, download an app to Retrieve the ticket. Without my tour guide I wouldn’t have been able to enter the Van Gogh museum.
Paintings looked so real and awesome and so real up close . Highly recommended to visit May pieces to look at.
The visit that was supposed to be a great experience turned into a total disappointment.
I booked several weeks in advance. According to Viator, I was informed that the ticket would be sent by email one day before the visit. On the same day as the visit, I tried all three provided options to retrieve the ticket, but none of them worked. A QR code was required for entry, and I was denied access.
One of the options was to receive the ticket as a PDF file. On my iPhone, PDF files can be found in the Files app, but there was nothing there.
A few days later, after returning home, I discovered that the ticket had been sent to the WhatsApp app — an application I hardly ever use. It had also been delivered by a Turkish third-party company that was never mentioned beforehand and was impossible to find any information about. Neither was the booking visible in the Viator App.
I had registered both my mobile number and my email address when making the purchase, and nowhere during the booking process or when selecting the ticket delivery method was it stated that this app would be used.
I am incredibly disappointed and strongly recommend that everyone book tickets directly through the museum’s own website rather than through intermediaries like Viator.
The price is twice as high compared with booking directly at the museeum home page.

This museum is gorgeous. We loved seeing a display of Vincent's work, and it's history. The only negative I can share is that many people seem to be there to just take a photo of the paintings, they weren't even looking at them. I liked to read the bio next to each painting and constantly had people stepping in front of me to take a photo. It definitely took away from the experience.
Great museum, however there are a lot of people, very crowded! Because it’s so crowded you need to be extremely patient in viewing the paintings.
I was disappointed and frankly, resented, organized groups continually blocking my view of Van Gogh's timeless masterpieces. I understand the value and importance of providing the opportunity to educate interested groups, but it should never be at the expense of individuals.
One will not actually receive the museum tickets. Instead Viator sends the tickets to upload on one’s phone. The museum was great!
Had difficulty getting in the museum. The info you sent me was not satisfactory for those monitoring the entrance door.
Get the audio. When’s crowded you can still understand about the pictures on the wall. Yeah, oh yeah.
