Not so great of a cruise

Meeting point was incorrect. Showed my online viator ticket to three different employees. Was told where to go and what line to stand in. After 25 mins I found out we were in the wrong line for the one hour canal cruise and not the pizza cruise. Pizza had very little sauce or pepperoni. Service was slow and we had to ask for drinks in 94 degree weather. Captain was great.

Meeting place was incorrect on ticket. Asked where to go told go to orange flags several blocks away. Showed ticket at orange building. Told go to next building and go downstairs. Noticed other people had different tours. We got out of line and asked. Told to go upstairs to get a table assignment and wait there. Once on board at our table we had a bucket of drinks all warm. We didn’t care for any of the selection in our bucket. We were finally able to order something different. The new drinks were very warm. So we ordered water. Pizzas was not warm.

This review is about Viator not the tour, as we was unable to go on the pizza cruise due to the fact Viator took our money and didn’t send over the reservation to lovers cruise. We arrived at the meeting point , and the company did not have our booking. They were unable to accommodate us because they were fully booked. Lovers cafe did everything to help us but unfortunately we were not able to participate on the cruise. They advised us that we were fully entitled to a full a refund from Viator and to contact them directly. Since retuning home I have messaged Viator, and been ignored and also requested a refund explaining everything, for it to be rejected. Viator please refund our money as soon as possible. We had this booked for 4 months and were left extremely disappointed.

Viator messed up my booking so one star

I booked this for me and my boyfriend and when we arrived at the lovers boat cruise place they told us Viator hadn’t properly given the information to them and only put trough a 1 person booking even tho I payed for 2. This is Viator a fault not the lover cruise company they were very helpfull and gave us a different cruise for free (ofcourse it meant no meal tho sadly) so the 1 star is meant for Viator not lovers cruise they were great

Took my money with no service rendered

Wasn’t able to go on tour they only had one seat left when I tried to order a different pizza for a friend I got an email the day of saying they cancelled our reservation. They didn’t give me a refund for the first reservation though. Terrible option menu you should be able to order different pizzas for group reservations that option wasn’t available…

This trip was not what we expected. There was very little information shared- majority of trip the tour guide was silent, only pointing out a few buildings. The pizza was cold. Servers were attentive which was good. it was difficult to see anything through the glass. we were very dissapointed in this experience.

We are doing this for the third time. During the trip you enjoy the magical views of Amsterdam, a pleasant warm atmosphere, delicious food, funny comments from the captain. Cozy interior inside the boat and the toilet is clean. You really want to come back here again.

The trip was very nice. I had an amazing time on the boat with good company and good view. The gudie and the waiters wore nice. You can drink as much as you would like, that’s awesome! The boat was quiet and chill to ride. The pizza and icecream tasted good to.

This was a very relaxing canal ride. If you are expecting to learn anything about the city it does not happen on this cruise. It’s just a ride through the canals. The pizza was good and so was the wine. Would recommend if just want something to eat and watch the sites.

The trip started with 3 drinks on a table booked for 5 - 2 beers and one Coke. For 2 adults and 3 kids that was not going to cut it. The waiting staff were very reluctant to give us Cokes for the 2 other kids. My husband basically had to get them himself. The pizza was cold and frankly awful. I booked this tour based on previous reviews that said the live commentary was great. This trip had an audio commentary that we had to ask for the headphones for half way though when it became apparent that none were going to be forthcoming. There was no water or soap in the toilet. On an average cruise lasting the same amount of time this might not be an issue but on one with children (ours were not the only ones) also serving food and drink this is not acceptable. I have made many trips to Amsterdam and done other canal cruises and this is the first time I have felt exploited as a tourist. My husband did speak to one of the ticket reps after but was basically just told to send an email to head office. 0/10 would not recommend.

Very comfy boat with good viewing. Price was very affordable. Staff were polite and did their best to feed people on a boat. Drinks provided were great. Pizza was a let down as it was a touch short on toppings. Difficult to understand the commentary.

Everything was organized as mentioned in the itinerary. Boat driver was friendly, young people that were serving pizza, drinks and ice-cream were very pleasant and fast. There was enough drink for everyone (alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks). The weather in Amsterdam, in March, is risky.. since it could be a lot of rain, but our trip was very lucky with the weather, too.
