- Your ticket for the Rijksmuseum is a ticket with a timeslot you chose while making a reservation. You can ONLY enter the museum at this specific time. Changing your slottime is NOT possible. The address of the Rijksmuseum is Museumstraat 1, 1071 XX Amsterdam.

- The ticket for your City Canal Cruise is an so called "OPEN TICKET". This means that no timeslot has been allocated and you can board any next available boat at one of the 2 docks:
- Stroller accessible
- Service animals allowed
- Near public transportation
- Infants must sit on laps
- Transportation is wheelchair accessible
- Most travelers can participate
- The first dock is located at Stadhouderskade 501 opposite the Hard Rock Cafe. Take tram 1, 2, 5,11 and 12 stop at Leidseplein. from there the dock is a 2 minute walk.
- The second dock is located at Stadhouderskade 550, opposite Heineken Experience. Take tram 2, 5,and 12 stop at Rijksmuseum. from there the dock is a 5 minute walk or take metro No. 52 and stop at Vijzelgracht. From there the dock is only a 2 minute walk.
- Last City Canal Cruise from Hard Rock Cafe departs at 18:00.
- Last City Canal Cruise from Heineken Experience departs at 17:15.
- Please note that that Blue Boat Company is closed on the following dates: • 27th April: Kingsday • 5th August: Pride & Queer Canal Parade • 25th December: Christmas • 31st December; no cruises after 4:00PM • 1st January; until noon.

Vusiting the Rijksmuseum was an unforgettable experience.. seeing all the artwork including The Night watch
by Rembrandt and Vermeer's Milkmaid and of course Van Goghs self portrait and Waterloo was incredible, not to mention all the other glorious artworks and exhibitions. The boat ride was very interesting and beautiful as well..the captain gave his takeout on the city's landscape and architecture with a delightful humor. I will definitely come back to AMS and hopefully next time will be with a partner to enjoy a bicycle ride as well.

The Rjiksmuseum is of course magnificent & deserves hours of time to walk galleries. But the added cruise is disappointing. The pre-recorded narration is minimal with too little history and local anectdotes.

We were unable to locate the tour guide at the Rijksmuseum, so we had a mini-tour ourselves. We had no idea when or where to go to take the canal tour. We called the company and found tours leave frequently. So we took one. The tour worked out fine. The snack lunch was junky. Overall, I’m not sure we would engage Blé BoT again. Jane Cash

The museum was unreal and a must do. But this package? Nope. Just get tickets thru the museum site. I thought this would be a guided experience, but everything about it was confusing. I saw the boat and immediately wanted to skip. I ended up even skipping the canal tour and booked with another boat (one that was open air). Save your time, book direct thru the museum and find another boat tour when you’re in the city and can see what you’re signing up for.

The boat ride was beautiful. Definitely recommended. Its the best value for money kind of tour. You have your own time to do the musuem and the boat ticket is open which you can choose to take same day any time or some other day at a specified time.

The canal ride by the Blue Boat company was a great way to see Amsterdam! Easier than walking everywhere. We enjoyed the Rijksmusem and especially the 2nd floor which has many Rembrandt’s and some Vermeer paintings. I didnt realize that the timed entry is for the museum and the canal ride can be taken anytime. So be sure to go to the museum at the stated time.

Such a let down. We were simply handed ear buds and picked our language. There was no interaction. I could have researched the canal on my own for what knowledge was really provided. The captain simply drove the boat.

The Rijks museum was fabulous. However, we weren’t able to do the canal cruise because of the bad weather. There were no refunds.

The write-up on Viator for this tour is really confusing - it's just an entrance ticket to Rijksmuseum, not a tour. The boat doesn't drop you off. Also the tour said it started at 930 but it actually starts at 10am. Just really confusing in general and not very well coordinated.

Having limited time in Amsterdam made this combo worthwhile plus we had the flexibility of arriving earlier and could be accommodated as long as the museum and boat queues were not full.

We arrived for the boat cruise we booked and paid for. On arrival we were informed that we will receive a limited tour as a result of the PRIDE CANAL CARNAVIL.
This is terrible, as we did not book and pay for a LIMITED tour.
Why were we not informed prior to our arrival on the day of the tour? If we knew we would get a watered down tour, we wouldhave postponed or cancelled the cruise.
We are very upset and want a refund please, or an voucher to go on the actual tour that we paid for.
THIS IS THE DETAILS OF THE CRUISE THAT WE PAID FOR AND WAS A TOTAL DISSAPPOINTMENT.

It was pleasant being on the water and seeing the sights. The commentary in multiple languages was a real plus but the quality was mediocre. Could have been more interesting. Wish they could have said where the building was— look to your right or left. We often couldn’t find it.

Cruising the Amstel and seeing the Rijksmuseum was awsome. This tour was definetely worth it and they even provide snacks and drinks. A must if you really want to fully experience Amsterdam 👍

We got lost trying to find the boat and we didn't know it would be so far away from our hotel so we missed the canal ride. But we were able to visit the Rijksmuseum. The museum for absolutely fabulous. Sorry we missed the canal ride.

The woman running the concession booth was extremely helpful! She even gave us directions for where to get an item we forgot to pack. Very generous snack bag. Delightful boat ride. Luckily I read a review which told that the time was for the Rijks museum, not the boat ride.

I thought the boat tour was very informative and our Captain also tried to add various points as well. The boat was covered and more substantial than others we'd been on. So, I liked that and would recommend given the weather can be cold and rainy at times. The museum part of the tour was fine but it's really just museum entry (but we didn't have to wait long which was great). There was some confusion about whether we were supposed to go to the museum or the boat cruise first. The ticket seemed to indicate one thing (that cruise was first--so that is where we went). But then the boat staff told us that the cruise was an open ticket and that we should do the museum first. So, we did but when we got back, one member of the boat staff was a little curt with us--then, acting like there were no guaranties, that things might be full. She didn't seem to like the fact that we had booked with "a third party" and she wasn't that nice. She made us wait for about 40 minutes when it was clear we could have made the boat that was there and had space. But it was raining; so, we went to a cafe nearby and were fine. Really liked the tour other than office manager at the Blue Boat desk.

The museum and boat tour were both great. But the communication was a bit difficult. There were 3 meeting places listed and we weren’t sure where to go. We mistakenly went to boat tour first, luckily the museum was a five minute walk away. At the museum, it is only an entrance ticket and not a guided tour.
