Travis was an outstanding tour guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable about Monument Valley and shared so much about the culture, traditions, and history of his people. He told wonderful stories about his upbringing that made the experience feel personal and meaningful.
He also had a great sense of humor and brought so much energy and positivity to the tour. One of the most memorable moments was when he played the guitar and flute and sang a beautiful blessing song for us before the tour ended.
It was truly an unforgettable day and such a special experience, made even better by our amazing guide, Travis. Highly recommend!

This was a great tour. Jamison is an awesome tour guide. It was interesting to learn about the Navajo culture while exploring the landscape.
Lisa_L, May 2026
This tour was amazing! Some of the most beautiful scenery we have ever seen. But even better, our guide gave us so much information about the history and culture of the area, it was really a wonderful experience.

David_N, Apr 2026
An awesome, moving experience! Our guide, Travis, was excellent, providing Navajo insight, history and even a few musical interludes in this overwhelming landscape. Highly recommended!!!

Such an amazing experience. Our guide Larry was awesome. He shared many stories and geological knowledge. The visit to the homan and flute playing was a cultural experience.
Ken_B, Apr 2026

Pat_S, Apr 2026
This was a fantastic tour with Larry as our guide. We learned a lot and saw the majority of the park. I would highly recommend
Roy_A, Apr 2026
Larry our tour guide did a great tour! He was informative, personable, and very good with history, facts and answering questions
Stan_M, Apr 2026
Really the best way to see the valley + you get to a few areas not accessible to general public. Going with a guide gives you a richer experience. Price difference between a tour and taking your own vehicle may deter some but consider the wear and tear of this road on your vehicle.
Dennis_F, Apr 2026
Our tour was awesome! We saw a lot of beautiful and interesting areas of Monument Valley. Our tour gave us access to restricted areas of Monument Valley, which I would highly recommend doing. Our tour guide, Nate, who is Navajo, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We really enjoyed his tour. He gave us more appreciation for the land and Navajo culture.

Dennis,
What an incredible way to experience Monument Valley! Exploring both the iconic sights and the lesser-seen restricted areas truly adds something special, and we’re so glad you found it worthwhile. Nate’s insight and warm personality clearly made a lasting impression, and it’s great to hear how much you connected with his knowledge and perspective. Moments that deepen appreciation for the land and its cultural significance are exactly what we hope every guest takes away. We appreciate you sharing your experience and hope your memories of the valley stay with you for years to come.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We were taken to a number of beautiful locations highlighting the magnificent sights. The guide selected perfect moments to play the Native American flute - so lovely. The tour was well worth the time.
As a side note, some of the travel in the vehicle was rough, which could cause some discomfort.
Dominique_A, Mar 2026
Worth every cent! saw places that other tours didn’t visit. Our leader, Larry, was extremely knowledgeable and kind. Take the early morning tour!
Sandra_K, Mar 2026
Our guide Toney was amazing! We had the tour to ourselves which was great. He told us all the back story of the monuments and Navajo. He took us to the best photo spots and helped us get the best shots. His traditional song at Big Hogan was a highlight as well as Bobby playing his flute. 4 hours of absolutely stunning scenery even in the cold. Can’t recommend this back country tour enough! We all had the best day out.

Absolutely breathtaking. Worth the trip. On a side note for people, maybe bring a handkerchief or something to cover your nose and mouth if its windy out.

Fascinating trip. Something for everyone. Fabulous vistas. Closeup views of the classics and exploration from directions not seen from the main road tour. Intimate knowledge of the land and people and history from our guide Larry. You will enjoy his flute playing at the natural amphitheater called the Big Hogan. Really lends a magical air to an already enthralling location. We were fortunate enough to be there when it had recently rained. The change in the landscape was dramatic and interesting. Petroglyphs from the time of the Ana Sazi brings you close to connecting to people thousands of years removed. Really expands your concept of time, endurance, survival and joy of life in an environment most of us would not last a week in.
Peggy_C, Nov 2025
Great experience. Our guide Larry was so knowledgeable, kind and interesting. The history of this magical place is amazing. A must do while in Monument Valley.
Thomas_L, Oct 2025
The tour guide is good and knowledgeable. Gave us the history of each check point. He also played beautiful music during the tour.
Tish_N, Oct 2025
Definitely a must to do the tour. You would miss so much if you tried to drive and just see on your own. I would have given it a 5 star as our guide was great. . . but we never visited a hogan and saw a weaver.
Judith_E, Oct 2025
This was a wonderful tour with a great Navajo guide. She could tell stories about their tribes beliefs, as well as tell the stories about the buttes and mesas we stopped at
Kim_Z, Oct 2025
Our guide Larry was awesome. We learned some good stuff. We all loved this gorgeous experience and view of Dineh history and land.
Laura_C, Oct 2025
Great tour Carol was great about showing us amazing sites and sharing her culture and her history. I would use her again
Audrey_F, Oct 2025
Beautiful scenery; guide Larry was very knowledgeable and personable. We were glad we chose not to drive through the valley with our rental vehicle. Plus the tour guide goes to places that the public does not have access to.
