Boarding time is 30 minutes prior to departure. All guests must arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to their scheduled departure time. If you are running late and will not arrive 30 minutes prior, please contact the local operator at the phone number on your ticket as soon as possible to reschedule. If you arrive after the tour has departed, you will not be able to reschedule or receive a refund.

Are there life jackets available onboard the Speedboat Sightseeing Tour of Miami?

Each vessel is 100% U.S. Coast Guard certified with life preservers and all required lifesaving equipment, including child life vests. You do not need to wear them, but they are available under your seat in case of emergency.

What happens in case of bad weather during the Speedboat Sightseeing Tour of Miami?

Cruises sail rain or shine, however, in the case of severe weather conditions (lightning and thunder) or under the direction of the U.S. Coast Guard, you will be given the option to reschedule or cancel with a full refund.

You may store wheelchairs or strollers at the dock. There is a boarding ramp for guests in wheelchairs, however, there are 2-3 steps to board the boat and all guests must be able to board and debark without assistance.

There are times when wind, speed, and direction will affect water and sea spray which may enter the boat, and depending on where you sit, you may get wet. Please notify the local operator upon arrival regarding seating assignments if this is a concern.

A seat is guaranteed when you confirm your reservation, however, seat selection is first-come, first-served. Please arrive early if you have specific seating requests.

Does the Speedboat Sightseeing Tour of Miami always go out into the Atlantic and reach speeds up to 40 MPH?

Most of the time, yes, but while every effort is made to ensure a safe and thrilling ride, the captain will take the sea conditions into consideration before going into the Atlantic Ocean and/or reaching speeds up to 40 mph.

Can I bring food and/or drinks with me onboard?

Food is not allowed on board. You may bring a drink if it is in a sealable plastic cup/bottle or aluminum can. Glass containers are not permitted at any time.

Absolutely! Upon confirmation, you will see a link to the online form on your ticket. Please be sure to sign the waiver prior to arrival.

What To Expect

Make your way to the Bayside Marketplace in downtown Miami to board your vessel. Settle in to your plush, comfortable seat as your captain pilots the boat past the cruise ship channel Flagler Monument Island and the US Coast Guard Station.

Slow down for a closer inspection of the mansions on Star Island and the Venetian Islands. Your captain will give you the inside scoop on who lives where and what the ostentatious homes are worth.

Zoom out to Fisher Island and South Point Park, location of the highest per capita income of any location in the country. Speed up to top speed while traveling through the Government Cut, then head out for the open Atlantic Ocean.

Cruise down the sandy shores of South Beach, lined with photo-worthy Art Deco mansions. While you return to your departure point through Fisherman's Channel, get panoramic views of the downtown Miami skyline.

Sit in the back for most fun. You will get wet but feel safe! The music was perfect. The tour guide was cool and shared enough info about the area without talking too much. Also offered to take a photo of the family at the end. That was a nice touch. Please tip them!

Please note they have two boats. One is the Thriller, which is the one I thought I purchased but when I got to the front they put me on the Hurricane. Don’t get me wrong we still had fun. But the Thriller is more fast on the open sea. Hurricane can make sharper turns and goes a bit slower. This is the difference. So it’s really up to you for your preference, except it’s not. I asked if I can be on the Thriller since that’s what I purchased it was told no, because the boats are the same. They are not the same… they may be similar but not the same. Other than this we still enjoyed. Fun to see celebrities homes. Would Do again next time I’m in Miami but only on the Thriller since I didn’t get to experience it this time.

Our guide was amazing, friendly, very knowledgeable about the area and the rich and famous homes but we didn’t pay these tickets for that kind of cruise that by the way we had just had the rich and famous cruise the day before. We were extremely disappointed that what we paid for was totally short of “fell the thrill” in the water. We paid for these tickets expecting to have fun, speed, and thrilling moments on a 45 minute speed cruise. The ride was constantly interrupt the guide showing us where the celebrities live, going through Fisher island where they know no speed boats can be I. That area. Why go there then when we were I. The perfect spot minutes prior and only had ONE exciting ride!!! yes, ONLY ONE exciting ride from a 45 minutes ride. I felt stupid in that heat and would not recommend this ride with this company.

Decent experience, have seen better

Parking in the busy area a little challenging/expensive. An older boat that needs a little TLC. The ride wasn’t as thrilling as past speedboats that I’ve been on, not much shade on the boat for the hot Miami summer days. Overall the ride was OK, covered a good distance and showed us a few sites around the bay.

Old boats - noisy and fumes overwhelming

Boats are old, noisy and smelly. You cant hear the tour guide for the engine noise and every time they accelerate thick black smoke belches out. Not a good way to see Miami at all. Tour guide is also very narky and gets arsy when not tipped despite being unable to hear him.

Not as fun as it used to be

We did this excursion about 2 or 3 years ago as a family and it was so much fun. Back then definitely 5 stars. We went out into the ocean, past South Point Park and the boat sped around, did lots of fun turns, we got wet. It was great. We were excited to take out of town visitors on this excursion yesterday and it was completely different. We didn't go out into the ocean at all. The boat sped up minimally maybe 2 times and the captain did a few little turns. Not enough to get splashed. Would have been cheaper to just take a regular sightseeing excursion. There was no 'thrill ' or 'speed' in this one. Didn't feel worth the money at all and calling itself a speedboat adventure seems misleading.

We didn't get wet not even a little bit. Husband and I came before, so we bought our kids and their friends. The boat road super slow, people and the front nor the back got wet. It only went fast where you can fill the breeze 2 times and that was only 30 seconds a piece. This should cost $15 not $52. We all got sleepy, all 11 of us. To hot to be on a boat going the speed of a turtle. This more like a tour.
