We sat at the front of the boat since there wasn’t much seating left, we booked it last minute but the front of the boat was fine, I don’t know the difference from the top lol. It stories were great and our story teller was amazing. I guess the downfall from a sitting at the bottom front was we didn’t get the whole experience of seeing more of the water. I would attempt the higher level. Overall it was great, we enjoyed it.

Nice tour, great tour guide (Andy). The only downside was other passengers talking loudly. The crew said at the outset that people taking will be quietly admonished but they were not and I saw no effort to ask the unruly guests to quiet down.

We're from Jamaica. We were expecting something scary but it was just a bunch of jokes and at no point did we feel terrified or concerned or any of the feelings that we grew up on when hearing about actual ghost stories. I get that it has to be light family fun but I think it's marketed incorrectly. I would call it the architecture tour if you want to hear about gossip instead of the buildings. It is literally the same boat and the same vibe and cadence. It was probably my bad for not looking into this more to make sure that it would be actually intriguing. Even the crime bus was more enlightening.

I’ve never thought to do a night boat tour while visiting Chicago but I’m so glad I booked it for the group. We had half who have lived in Chicago for 20+ years and the other half who visit at least annually for the last 30+ years and none of us have done this. It was a great tour with a rich and unique history of the hauntings of Chicago and we loved every minute. The city at night is a magical experience in its own but on a boat… top tier! I will absolutely do this again and highly recommend to anyone who visits Chicago.

The views are nice and the temps better being dark. However, the storyteller was flat. The ‘spooky’ and ‘ghost’ part was not captivating. I wanted more haunted info.

The rain made it miserable. Then we all had to find a place to sit inside. Otherwise it would have been great. Waste of money sitting inside where you couldn't see nothing out the windows. There really wasn't enough room for everyone inside. The rain is what spoiled it.The stories the tour guide told were quite interesting though,he did a great job!

It was fine. Stories were good! A different twist on some we’d heard before. Small problem with crew not getting passengers off the boat so they could clean and get us folks on. Only major problem was with people who had no consideration for others as they decided to carry-on as if they were the only folks on board. Why do people sign up for a narrated trip and then talk during it? I will credit Doug for finally asking them to quiet down, but it was well-over halfway through the tour. Also, he might want to face the audience whenever he speaks AND move to his right side when speaking to make passengers all across the boat feel included.

Cruise was great, but I left Chicago and I'm STILL being harassed daily by email. I should get ONE email asking for a review, not one per day forever. I will NEVER use Viator again

Boarding was handled well, easy on and easy off the ship. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the tour guide was a great storyteller. If you'd like a fantastic nighttime view of the city, this is it. Enjoy!

It’s in a busy spot of Chicago off of Michigan Avenue so just allow enough time to get down there especially if it’s a Saturday night. Otherwise the trip was very nice with lots of history and ghost stories of Chicago.
