The shuttle bus and Josephine met us directly outside the gate at the port when we arrived in Naples. Once we arrived at Pompeii we were met by our guide, Thomas. He kept the group moving sharing his knowledge mixed with humor. This site is absolutely incredible. You could go back multiple times and still enjoy each moment of ancient history. It was exceptional! Amalfi Coast was absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend this tour. Although our tour guide was not fluent in English and at times was hard to communicate with and to understand. But he took us to some beautiful locations and a special little coffee shop for expresso.

She was extremely knowledgeable, funny, and brought the history of Pompeii to life in a way that made the experience both educational and entertaining. Her passion for the subject really made the tour special. Pompeii is a must-see destination, and having a guide like Francesca makes it even more memorable. We highly recommend this tour! One thing to know before booking: The meeting point at the Ramada by Wyndham Naples is about a 38-minute walk from the cruise pier, so plan on a taxi ride of approximately €24 each way. Be sure to factor that additional transportation cost into your plans. Overall, an excellent tour with an outstanding guide. Thank you, Francesca!

This was a low impact...

This was a low impact quick tour of the Amalfi Coast, Positano, Sorrento and Pompei. If you are only in the area for a day and want a taste of the area, this is a great tour. Our tour guide Mary was excellent and informative. This will only give you a taste of the area, but may entice you to return. The visit to Pompei was quick, but thorough. Obviously didn't cover everything as that can take most of a day, but as I said, a great overall taste of the area.

Great value with lots of WOW moments

The entire day was just amazing. Aldo was a huge part of the success because he was so knowledgeable. He showed us such kindness because of some limitations my travel partner has he was very patience and understanding. The stops all had some special moments but the most memorable for me was our relaxing lunch in a magical cliffside restaurant. I was impressed by the food and service we received there. Antonio was very pleasant and accommodating and most of all a good driver on those crazy but beautiful roads! I would recommend this trip for a day full of WOW moments!

Waiting 6 months for Hike

I booked this tour for the hike alone. I enjoyed Pompeii, and Robertta did an amazing job. She is the sweetest, and I feel like we got to see and experience more of Pompeii with her than if we had gone on our own! The hike was interesting. I wish we had a little more time there personally. I enjoyed being at the top and meeting different people.

An Unforgettable Day at Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius — Outstanding Service from Worldtours!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience visiting Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius with Worldtours! From start to finish, this was an incredible day, made even better by our amazing driver, David, and our wonderful guide in Pompeii. David was fantastic from pickup to drop-off. He communicated the plans for the day clearly, kept everything running smoothly, and did an incredible job navigating the very narrow, winding streets up to and back down from Mount Vesuvius. His driving skills were impressive! But what truly made David stand out was how he went above and beyond when we needed him most. More on that in a moment! Our guide in Pompeii (I’m so sorry I can’t remember the correct spelling of his name, possibly Iliah) was absolutely wonderful. His passion for Pompeii and his incredible knowledge of the archaeological site made the history come alive. He walked at a comfortable pace that was easy to follow and spoke at a volume that made it easy to hear everything he shared. We learned so much and truly appreciated the experience he provided. Mount Vesuvius was absolutely breathtaking and well worth the very steep hike to reach the top! The views and the experience of standing at the summit were amazing. We visited in mid-October, and it was VERY cold at the top, so definitely dress in layers and bring a jacket! Now, back to David, who deserves an extra-special shout-out. My sister and brother-in-law accidentally left their passports on the tour bus. After numerous phone calls and a stressful search, David came to the rescue! He located the passports and actually brought them back to us himself on the bus. We cannot thank him enough for going above and beyond to help us. He turned a stressful situation into a happy ending and saved the day! David, thank you for your professionalism, kindness, excellent communication, and for taking such good care of us. And thank you to Worldtours for having such an amazing team! If you’re considering a trip to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, we highly recommend this tour. The destinations are incredible, the guide was fantastic, and David’s exceptional service made the entire experience truly unforgettable. Five stars all the way!
