Excellent tour of the site in Pompeii. Our guide Marco was so knowledgeable, showed us all the main areas, really did a great job. Downside was transport from Naples- had to wait 30 minutes at second pickup point on small bus. Bus not ready to pick us up at end of tour in pouring rain. All got very wet.

Great trip!

We had a wonderful family trip with Viator to Positano, Pompeii, and Sorrento! Even though it was a rainy day, the experience was memorable, and we enjoyed exploring the beautiful towns and fascinating history of Pompeii. The scenery was still stunning despite the weather, and it was a great way to see so much of the Amalfi Coast in one day. We were fortunate to have this tour on a beautiful October day. Our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his field of expertise. He was very skilled at keeping the group together and accommodating slower guests over the cobblestones and rough pathways. At the end of the tour he was helpful in advising group members on transportation from Pompeii/ Herculaneum tour end to heir next location at the end of the day.

Great value with lots of WOW moments

The entire day was just amazing. Aldo was a huge part of the success because he was so knowledgeable. He showed us such kindness because of some limitations my travel partner has he was very patience and understanding. The stops all had some special moments but the most memorable for me was our relaxing lunch in a magical cliffside restaurant. I was impressed by the food and service we received there. Antonio was very pleasant and accommodating and most of all a good driver on those crazy but beautiful roads! I would recommend this trip for a day full of WOW moments!

This was a low impact...

This was a low impact quick tour of the Amalfi Coast, Positano, Sorrento and Pompei. If you are only in the area for a day and want a taste of the area, this is a great tour. Our tour guide Mary was excellent and informative. This will only give you a taste of the area, but may entice you to return. The visit to Pompei was quick, but thorough. Obviously didn't cover everything as that can take most of a day, but as I said, a great overall taste of the area.

Amazing experience....

Amazing experience. Gabriella was our Pompeii tour guide, very knowledgeable and kept us on time and made sure we saw as much as possible. I can’t thank this tour group enough as our cruise ship ran late, and they worked with us so we could still go on the tour and have transportation. Wear comfortable shoes, and definitely bring a jacket for Vesuvius, the wind makes it very cold even in 70+ degree weather. Took us around 20 minutes to get to the top without experience hiking, take your time going up and it’s not bad but pretty steep. We would go everyday if we could! Andrea our bus driver was great going up as well.

An Unforgettable Day at Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius — Outstanding Service from Worldtours!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience visiting Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius with Worldtours! From start to finish, this was an incredible day, made even better by our amazing driver, David, and our wonderful guide in Pompeii. David was fantastic from pickup to drop-off. He communicated the plans for the day clearly, kept everything running smoothly, and did an incredible job navigating the very narrow, winding streets up to and back down from Mount Vesuvius. His driving skills were impressive! But what truly made David stand out was how he went above and beyond when we needed him most. More on that in a moment! Our guide in Pompeii (I’m so sorry I can’t remember the correct spelling of his name, possibly Iliah) was absolutely wonderful. His passion for Pompeii and his incredible knowledge of the archaeological site made the history come alive. He walked at a comfortable pace that was easy to follow and spoke at a volume that made it easy to hear everything he shared. We learned so much and truly appreciated the experience he provided. Mount Vesuvius was absolutely breathtaking and well worth the very steep hike to reach the top! The views and the experience of standing at the summit were amazing. We visited in mid-October, and it was VERY cold at the top, so definitely dress in layers and bring a jacket! Now, back to David, who deserves an extra-special shout-out. My sister and brother-in-law accidentally left their passports on the tour bus. After numerous phone calls and a stressful search, David came to the rescue! He located the passports and actually brought them back to us himself on the bus. We cannot thank him enough for going above and beyond to help us. He turned a stressful situation into a happy ending and saved the day! David, thank you for your professionalism, kindness, excellent communication, and for taking such good care of us. And thank you to Worldtours for having such an amazing team! If you’re considering a trip to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, we highly recommend this tour. The destinations are incredible, the guide was fantastic, and David’s exceptional service made the entire experience truly unforgettable. Five stars all the way!
